Fellow Alabamian here- the southern accent in Alabama in particular is odd. As in, people from the bigger cities -Mobile, Huntsville, Birmingham--- have significantly weaker souther drawls. Our southern "accent" is exposed in our vernacular and slang terms. The smaller towns are more apt to embrace the southern trademark accent, therefore producing the folks who sound hella country!

Shit makes me proud to see yeler get the shine hes always deserved! I been fkn wit wolf since trunk muzik 1 dropped and ive watched his artistic growth from a great unsigned rapper to one of the greatest songwriters and musicians of the 80s babies generation in hiphop and in music in general. His platform has changed many times but hes always remained true to himself and the music he wanted to create. Hes grown but only for the better.. one of the few that NEVER sold out. For that he will always have my respect. I was asked once that if I could only listen to one artist or band for the rest of my life who would I pick and why. I had never thought about it but without a second of hesitation I said Yelawolf. Why? Versatility. Hip Hop, Blues, Country, Punk Rock. Free verse poetry to make you think, intricate ballads that will make you tear up, bass heavy tracks for the Chevy and club bangers. Don't even get me started on the beat progression of his tracks. Respect is given when its deserved and he's earned more than what he's been given.
