@@SeqMK I have the same problem. Today it just stopped working all of the sudden, no problem beforehand. A 'gentle' smack on the table solved the problem, but this is of course not a good solution. As the smack solved my problem I guess that the problem is either dirt between the wheel and the sensor or some loose contacts.
I would love to find a solution also.

Thanks! I had no idea where the screws were. I had to clean out my mouse wheel It was clicking in while I was just trying to scroll. There was a little clump of dust in there, and some fibers wrapped around the wheel. Pulled it all out with some tweezers and tiny screwdriver and then blew it out with some electronics duster. Used a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive and put the plastic runners on the bottom back nice and flat. Cheers.

My Rival 310 mouse wheel has gotten a little loose. Any way to tighten it?
If you can't find the stakes online and still want to open up your mouse without ruining it (well not much anyway)
Just find the location of the screws... and use an exacto knfe to bore/cut out a small opening to access the screws. It's better than removing the skates and won't ruin your mouse all that much.
Mine feels the same after fixing it... (had a different problem with the scroll wheel though but still had to open it up)
Thanks I used this video to fix my double click problem. In fact you do NOT need to replace the microswitch. You can disassemble the switch and re-bend the metal and it works great now. For more details on the microswitch search youtube for " Double click problem: How to fix faulty mouse button"

I have replaced my left mouse micro switch with the exact same one i ordered online, and it fitted perfectly and it clicks perfectly but it doesn't respond when clicked, my right , middle and everything else works but the button i replaced doesn't respond. could it be that i burned something from the circuit is that possible ?

Hi there my Roccat Nyth mouse recently stopped working.. it still lights up the usb lights, but the laser sensor does not light at all.. Where could I get a replacement sensor to fit. As I think this the problem.. If you could suggest places - be very thankful.. or any ideas to try! many thanks

the drivers work fine, I reshuffled, and the usb drivers reinstalled, but the mouse does not work, and the backlight does not light up on the mouse either.

Во время работы стало глючить колесо прокрутки, а потом вовсе перестало работать, перезагрузил компьютер и мышка перестала реагировать полностью, в SS Engine не определяется (пробовал переустановить - не помогло), Windows издает звуки подключения USB устройства. Проверил на другом компьютере - не работает. Что делать, подскажи пожалуйста.

У меня профессиональный флюс, но вы можете использовать любой. Это не имеет значения. Просто флюс для пайки. Провод опять можно использовать специальный продается в намотке для выпайки деталей, но можно просто снять оплетку с провода и ее использовать просто обильно намажьте ее флюсом и такой провод заберет на себя весь припой и деталь спокойно сможете снять с платы.

My scroll is blocking in pressed position, very often when i just scroll down. To relase scroll button i need to scroll up or press it a little harder. I found out that scroll is rotating very hard. Any advices before screwing it to parts? I want to stay with my actual skates because they're in great condition.
Try to make out. Perhaps you will see the reason. There may be garbage inside. Take it away.
Hi I have the sensei and one of my forward and back buttons on the left side of the mouse got pushed in while using Do you think it would be fixable ? the button still clicks but when I move it up it could go inside the mouse, also one more question If I take the mouse feet off could I put them back on easily ? or would the stickiness go away it would be good to know Hope you reply :)
+TheGunmanGaming (Gunman889) You can try to disassemble and see what's inside. If you need to replace the parts. Glue on the legs nice and they prikleyutsya again. Only when you bend them to separate them. They should be smooth.

I have a problem where the middle mouse button is not working. The mouse wheel is pushed all the way in and is stuck in that position. Do you think it is as easy to repair that type of problem as a broken left click switch?

Cломался правый переключатель на мышке SS Rival. Новый переключатель я так не смогу припаять. Разобрал сломанный перключатель,, там развалилась какая та медная пластинка. Попробовал поставить эту пластинку из другой мышки, а она отличается по форме, кое как засунул его туда. Кнопка начала работать, но без клика. Подскажите где взять оригинальные переключатели как на Ривале или может быть на омронах такая же пластина эта???
+Александр Киналевский Вы можете найти другую более дешевую или сломанную мышку и взять переключатели оттуда. Они обычно очень похожи.

I checked this video to learn how to disassemble my mouse. I accidently dropped my mouse in a cup full of tea, and it got completely drenched. The display underneath it stopped working, but otherwise it seems to work just fine, but the buttons are sticky and almost get stuck, can I just wipe everything off with a damp cloth? Guessing the display is broken for good, but that's alright, I don't see any need for it anyways (it shows a faint glow but doesn't display the steelseries logo anymore)
+Mikael Skog I do not use the display and think it is not necessary. You need to disassemble a mouse and clean and wash all alcohol. Then dry and everything will work fine.

+CofeeAuLait If you separate them carefully, it can be stuck on the old Scotch. You can take a new double-sided adhesive tape. If nothing, then you can paste any glue.

I was pulling on the cable to massage the braiding to make it soft and messed up my Sensei MLG Edition. It started to drop windows that I click and drag and seems to have some clicking problems with the left mouse button. I already got a new mouse that I love for gaming, Mionix Castor. But I still love the sensei for 3d design and would still like to repair it
What do you think the problem could be? I'm sure it was caused by massaging the braided cable.

Hello, any luck fixing this issue? I am having the same problem with the mouse losing connection....I also am having to unplug and plug it back in to work but it's happening more frequently and I'm not able to identify the root cause.
When i scroll every few scrolls it goes the wrong way, it's a major pain in the ass not only for scolling down websites but also i use hammer editor and fl studio, with both i constantly have to scroll and it's making this simple task super frustrating !

I managed to fix it ! Had to open my mouse and apply some force with a pair of pliers on the little box next to the scroll wheel, now the wheel doesn't click as much as it used to which i actually prefer, the smoother scrolling is great !

It happens to me randomly when scrolling down, that the page comes back up, and in that case if I lightly taps on the wheel, without rotating it, the page goes up and down continuously, then if I rotate it by one "notch" returns to normal operation.
I have tried with both the SteelSeries Enigne running and with it turned off, and it does anyway, so I don't think it's software dependent.
I must say that my Sensei Raw is about 6 years old, and I have had this problem for about a year, initially less pronounced, but in recent months it has become quite annoying.
I would be more for the replacement than for the repair, not being practical in these things, but I read in the various product reviews that the quality of the mice has dropped a lot in recent years (but not the price) and that today's mice tend to give problems within just 6 months. Reading the reviews passes the desire to change mouse, I don't know what to do ...

Hi, I recently tried to clean the wheel, it didn't look dirty, in fact it had only a few threads of dust, but incredibly now it's back to work, I still struggle to believe that the problem was due to those few threads of dust, I just ran wheel holding the tip of a toothpick on the sides, so I think this action has probably somehow put it back in place. I hope this is lasting, and that it wasn't just a momentary stroke of luck.

If you're here because you need to fix the left or right switches on the Sensei 310, the switches you need are OMRON D2FC-F-K(50m). While I'm happy that I was able to fix this mouse, I'm never buying Steel Series again.
My left button is doing multiple clicks, as a result, I can't drag and drop stuff

I temporarily solved it. It seems that the mouse inside gathers dirt, mainly by sweat, or if you eat, you may have your hands dirty. So, grab your mouse, and start shaking it really really hard, that solved my problem 2 times now.

That means your sensor isn't detecting proper smooth surface. If it's a smooth surface, then maybe your sensor has some problem.

ah crap, I just noticed my 80 euro mouse started not registering every click. i have to click with some force for the clicks to register. the mechanical switch might have corroded and i'm probably going to solder another on there. I'm pretty glad that i soldered these switches from my old mouse so i have some spares.

hey guy, i fixed my mouse! replacement is not the only option! I am pretty glad i soldered off these mouse switches from my previous broken mouse so i could use one of them to fix my sensei. saved 80 euro :D. so my tip is: if you have a broken mouse, solder off the switches and keep them or if you have an expensive mouse like the sensei which has failing switches, try finding a cheap/broken mouse to salvage the switches from. you just need a soldering iron and a multimeter is also handy. These switches are also nice to have if you ever mess around on a breadbord since the pins are spaced so they can be put in breadbords. you can probably also buy them for cheap online though.

Soldering pro-tip. Buy a damn hobby vice to hold your work! It clamps easily to any desk or table(Some have suction bases.) Stop trying to make two hands do the work of three!!
