to see the vilager micro into that fight was hectic. Such an obvious tier above the rest of us are these two players
Really rare back and forth game! GGs both
Hey Lion, love your videos, Can I ask to move your Camera a bit to the left just so we can see all the deck cards
You certainly can! will move it a smidge for future vids
Just finished seeing a video of Lion Heart and another one just popped out. I will sleep late I guess

Some great editing by me haha
Omg thank you for this vid. I was really enjoying Dutch, but was getting obliterated by Russia age 2 every time. Tried lots of different tactics. Mostly just over producing skirms. So I just mainly build huss, maybe send a pike shipment; and rely on town militia card if necessary 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊
I believe you have a really good advantage if you can squeeze the age III while pinning your opponent down in age 2. Early fortress is where Dutch shine, whereas Russia are good in age 2 & late age 3 imo
Seeing those bosniacs getting rekt for free was painful
Really good fight for resources, that was such an interesting way to see how the legacy civs works -> fight for not necesarily map control but for resource monopoly. This still shows up how meta Dutch is on poor to average resource maps. Banks gives you so much resources, they are way more important than usually.
Also this game showed me one more important aspect of Russia - their biggest strength is initial push and the quantity at this point. This is very strong thing, but all things considered their FB is mostly destroyed as soon as this push reaches the momentum of being knocked back. I might be controversial, but I claim russian villies should be buffed really slightly in terms of building time of (not recruitment time, like 10% or so). Russians are spending by far the most resources on buildings out of all civs in this game just because of weak infantry and needs support of military recruitment spots nearby. I think this could be efficient buff, since settlers are being recruited in groups. So even though you train settlers for cheaper cost and technically faster time (you recruit 3 settlers in a time most civs recruits 2.08), but you start with only 5 settlers instead of 6 and lose so much villiger/secs on the very beginning. On top of that you technically lose small amount of villiger seconds every training (just because it takes longer to train). Russia is already considered as one of the worse civs atm so this small change wouldnt affect much, but at least villies could be able to build recruitment spots a little bit faster to maintain the pressure or security near natural resources.
well put
I'm a Russia main. My assessment of the game is that Hazza was impatient compared to Guigs and that's ultimately what lost him the game. He took too many hasty fights. One other mistake was definitely taking the far trade post line instead of the close one. One of Russia's greatest strengths is maintaining map control with blockhouses, large mass and raiding. Just 2 oprichniks on the flanks would have done so much work in this game. It was far from over if Hazza didn't take that hasty last fight. I think Hazza was impatient, he didn't raid much.
Russia definitely isn't the strongest civilization in the game so maybe some kind of a subtle rebalance for them could be in order. The scores were very close at the end. One build I love to do is 14 settler age up to age 2 so I can 1 town center boom by sending medicine card first in age 2. All you have to do is maintain pressure on the enemy with military and you'll out scale most enemies. Don't take an all-in fight. Just pressure and boom.
Now I now the History of this war!
Wao, excelent game.
what a fcking fantastic game
I think the big problem of the quantity over quality is mainly because weaker units will always shoot and the shots will more often hit. High quality units will sometimes hit 1 strelet with 5 shots of idk 40 dmg... So basically the strelet is worth as much as a musket from a hp standpoint even if he only has half
14:10 the flag goes yeet
real game by real pro players, thx for this exceptional game
if you lucky, they path straight through without attack move and your pike kill some before anything is noticed.
That was an insane game , how many times did hazza come back nearly winning lol
Amazing game, feeling sad for Hazza, almost pulled it off
Do Ruyters have a tighter formation compared to other goon type units? They always seem so tightly packed
Yes they do, they have insane hitboxes
我先來的 :(
Can't you rotate building placement in ranked? he could of placed those banks to make a way better wall or maybe his intention was to lure them in the tight gaps
ctrl + mousewheel to rotate btw
yeah i think potentially actually giving them a way to get through so right clicking cav gets them caught in the gaps rather than going the long way round to get to the vills. Not sure though. Just my thoughts
baZed
ngl any sub2200 russia had resigned in colonial
farms would of made a huge difference, with all that raiding going on, no one ever makes farms haha, the second he goes onto wood his army would be overrun tho (maybe not with the card that makes cav archer cost wood), such a tight game
This is why old school is better than DE bullshit!
