I don't think anyone can predict how much change AI is going to bring within the next few years. Everyone laughed at the terrible AI art like 2 years ago and look where it's at now
Truth. I was using AI to generate images all the way back to Midjourney’s 2nd version. It is advancing frighteningly fast.
I agree that is is too hard to predict. That being said, the argument that AI can't replace feelings is a bit Polly-Anna. AI is already controlling emotions by using algorithms to taylor content to specific people. I could see how that could be applied to music on a mass level if it isn't already. I remember people saying that Napster wouldn't upend the music industry, only bring it down to earth but noone realized how taking away the "physical" ownership of music would affect people's passion for it.
I would say that music creation has ever been the curation of available options. AI will expand both said options as well as the amount of people with access thereto. It will be amazing. Not yet sure what the downsides will be, but I’m not buying any of the ones I’ve heard worried about up til now.

I think that AI (still super computer with too many inputs) will help a lot with music videos. I prefer music that is not too digital and with some human mistakes, but music videos are a drag...
I’ve tried to have A.I. finish lyrics for me and it’s like, elementary school poetry. Not even really a good tool for writers block, so far.
Yeah but look at how awful AI art was a few years ago, and how incredible it is now. It won't be long before it can write good lyrics
@@MetalArcade If/when that does happen I think it'll be cool. Personally I feel like anything that can save time on laying foundations only will free us up for more creativity in the future.
I also think since it is out of the bottle and is here to stay, the only thing that is going to prevent AI from destroying creativity, is to find the technology to verify "art" generated by AI. I hope people will continue to be creative regardless how powerful and "perfect" AI becomes otherwise it will turn humans into morons.
Interesting perspectives but a bit dismissive. Full AI songs at quality that casual audiences enjoy will be a thing. People may not buy an voiceclone song but people haven't paid for songs in the past 10 years anyway. It'll get clicks
