As far as I know. The Garmin Varia is a radar detector first and tail light with a camera. Also need some sort of head unit to see what radar tells you. Garmin watch or smart phone if you don't want head unit. BTW great visuals of Macy's and other places.
That is a nice system but pricey.

Enjoyed this video! The train ride, the route, felt like I got a good ver view of Christmas in the City, some of the bicycle infrastructure on roadways, and Tan Tan, your are rocking those orange glasses lil man!
Great video as always! Unfortunately my magicshine seemee dv won't connect to our internet which is up to date. The company won't return emails, give me a place to return it, or refund my money. Enjoyed the video. Liked your New Jersey accent, too :-) Where I'm from, you can't ride your bike with two (or more) people on it. Looks like NYC is okay with that?
I'm not sure but their are Bike Cabs all over the city so maybe it is allowed here. I have a Long Island accent lol
@@BromptonFamilyTime Yes, like your Long Island accent! As for two people on a bike. I did the following search: Search string: Can two people ride on a bike in "NYC"
Here's what I found: VTL § 1232 Cyclists must ride on a permanent seat, feet must be on pedals, and bike must carry only the number of persons for which it is designed and equipped.
Maybe this is accurate, maybe it's not. Would be worth finding out. Bike Cabs would be in a different class it seems.

I only bought this one so I can wear two layers of headwear underneath. My Thousand helmet was too small. I will use that one in the summer.

As a current Brompton rider and former Merrick, Long Island, resident, I like the way you guys regularly hop on the LIRR and explore the city. I will be there for 3-weeks in March, but alas, without my Brompton, because soon after I fly to Portugal to walk the Camino Portuguese.
Wow that sounds great. I love hiking. The AT is on my bucketlist. I see people using citybikes all the time. It might be a good way to get around the city since you are here for a short time.

I am using the TiParts Workshop stem. I don't have any experience with other brands but I haven't had any problems with mine (after they replaced the original one I got that was defective).

Love that they use seat belt straps and sails in their bags. They were used in Premium Rush, an awesome cheesey movie about NYC bike messengers.

Bern Hendrix Carbon. It's a size small but it is larger than my Thousand helmet which is why I got it so I can layer more headwear.
I assume your using a power bank attached to back of the GoPro Chesty mount. If so what power bank are you using and how do you have it attached? I'm looking to do the same thing. I have a nitecore nb10,000 I use for hiking. I'm hoping it would be enough for a day trip, lol.
I currently am using small 5000mah battery banks that I attached to the back of the chest mount with velcro. It usually lasts most of my ride videos but I do carry two of them. I use to run a usb cable and keep the battery in my backpack too.
@@BromptonFamilyTime yes, I remember seeing it running to your backpack. Seeing both, it looks and makes sense that the battery bank mounted to the chesty strap. Thank you for answering.
