- Something about a nice hot empanada during afternoons in the province hits different. Casa Luisa knows this experience all too well.
Pandemic Kitchens is a series featuring food businesses that sprung during this trying time.
Alvin, one of Casa Luisa’s bakers, recently suffered a stroke and currently has a bleeding aneurysm that will require surgery. If you want to help out, you can donate here: gogetfunding.com/please-consi...

Nakakaiyak, their business is all about family talaga, from the location, the recipes, the history, even their staff. Nothing says Filipino more than family!
Rebranding was the greatest move that this channel has ever made 😊😊😊 good job to the team for this quality content.
Kelan po sila nag rebranding?
@@Furendz 4 months ago, this channel used to be Erwan's personal channel "Erwan Heussaf"
True and the purpose of the channel even became broader 😍😍😍
Erwan this content is genius! I have always wanted to be a baker or create
something with my hands...dabbled here and there...this ignited that interest back
to baking. Thank you!
You got this, Eunice!
This brought a heart-warming feeling. When you are cooking from the heart, all that love will come out of the food. Nice one Featr and team! 😍
It definitely warmed our hearts here at FEATR, too!
The experience there is so good. The food, scenery, the enjoyment and satisfaction you get after. It was really hard to book a reservation too!! But it was worth the money and the time. The food was served with the smiles of the wai. My goodness, they even make a matching hot sauce for whatever empanada you choose. My parent’s personal favorite hot sauce is the Mango Habanero (made by them) which is given when you order it to be delivered. Most of their specials on the menu are even farm rescues!! I personally love the fig galettes. They are seasonal since it is hard to grow figs due to the heat. But in general, I would recommend trying to eat in Casa Luisa at least once.
Incredible editing. The visuals, storytelling, and application of background music combined was just amazing. Can’t wait for more!!
When she mentioned “grass fed” I’m like daaaang! That’s what’s up! Grass fed beef is the way to go! Empanadas looks sooo good! Drooling 😩
This is amazing. I love how the Chef included her skilled hard work workers.
Thank you for this feature! Aside from preserving food heritage, the chef is commendable for taking care of her employees, especially during this time. It is uplifting to know that the Filipino spirit of bayaninan could really be felt in this feature. This is the kind of business that we need to support. God bless you and your family chef! 💜
The cinematography in all angles plus the music scoring is pure nice and class! Such a beautiful heart warming story. God bless the whole Casa Luisa family.
I really like your videos! The quality has been improved always 🙂 great recipe 👍
Thanks so much! 😊
Jen and her staff are incredible! What a story, and the empanadas look perfect :D

Casa Luisa, San Pedro, Laguna😍
What a great content, FEATR! ❤️
I've been part of that commissary kitchen (pantry) way back 2011 and I can attest how passionate really mam Jen is especially when it comes to creating new recipes.
Am looking forward to visit Casa Luisa one of these days and try the best empanada.
Hi Rommel!! Miss you!!!
What an inspiration!!! .. It goes to show when you look deeper into things that are happening it becomes more of a blessing in disguise than a curse.. God is good.. Thanks for sharing the story Erwan!! God Bless!! Cheers!!! Stay safe and healthy.. 😊🙏💕
With this direction, it seemed the channel became more inclusive and was able to locate nooks and crannies of food recipes and businesses in the country.

Wow! This made me miss baking. I used to do that a lot as a side hustle. Might do it again because of this video. Thank you.
Big Salute to this Woman!
I love this video! It felt like you're being transported back to the Filipino culture that we should always be proud of.
Love, family and history says it all.

Wow! It looks absolutely delish❤😋
This inspired me more as a homebaker ❤❤❤ so heartwarming and inspiring story from Featr💯
I LOVE YOUR CONTENTS🥺💕
I was craving so much already in the intro because of the beautiful shots of the empanadas 😭😭😭
Hoping to be able to try this 😍😍😍
Got a bit distracted in the beginning because she sounds like Dimples 🤣
Love and power to Chef Jen, Casa Luisa and the whole FEATR Team 💙💙💙
Very heartwarming ❤️
Totally agree on the wise move to rebrand your channel - it is refreshing and way more inspiring
Thanks Chef Erwan
Great story. I'm assuming with the use of butter that this is Spanish style empanadas, rather than the Filipino ones I taste in North America made with lard. I love all the creative non-Filipino dishes coming out of the Philippines.
This is so inspirational. And I myself wanted to make my own empanada business just a.few weeks ago (amazing).
I also started baking empanadas during the onset of the pandemic and it was a lot of work. As in. But we are happy that we are always sold out. But we stop baking. Maybe this coming christmas. Will bake again. Amazing content ❤️
Quality content always! Featr is the best!
Yummy. We love empanadas. So delicious
To more featured stories ❤❤. God bless you Erwan and the whole team of FEATR❤❤❤
Beautiful 😻
New flavor..looking forward to taste it.
Prayers for sir Alvin Abay! 🙏🏼

Videos of food like this make me want to move to the Philippines...
AMAZING STORY! Where is this located, tho? I'm in the province and trying to see if I can get my hands on those empanadas. think I missed it from the video. EDIT: Sa Laguna pala sya, di pwede padeliver to Minda 😅
I badly want to taste that empanada🥺 looks so yummy!
아름답고 영감을줍니다. 감사합니다!! 최고예요.. featr.
Thank you! ~
Can't wait to try this. My favorite soup to order in restaurants is the French Onion Soup😍
It's so good!
@@featrmedia I believe it☺️

Thank you featr.. ❤❤❤
Hands down best empanada in the metro :)
I’m so sad that I can’t try out any of these delicious food! 🥺😭 it looks so yummy!
The food game in the Philippines is getting even better and stronger than before. I really can’t wait to go back after this pandemic is over.
Now I wonder what machine she uses to make all those empanada doughs and meet about 700 orders, as mentioned in the video... So inspiring.
Mouth watering 😜
sana matikman ko din yan..dito sa lugar na min natikman ko na lahat nag loloti empanada...me to tried to cook empanada...
Oh wow pastries
💕
Impressive...
i ❤️ featr!
I'm not into these foods but still went here early to support FEATR and Erwan!!🥰🥰🥰
You're the best 🥺
I didn't expect to cry. Hahahha
👍👍👍
👍
Here we go again with the "city" and "province" misconception. Even provinces have cities in it, it's a mere political classification. So saying from the city to the province is erroneous. I often hear this among Manileños.
1st
I went here to support @erwan and fam
Uhhmmmmm congrats👾
@@lyrod3986 lol hello
Hope you can also put at least the first names of the staff. :) beautifully craftwd vid. Im interested to order 😊

Really wish you’d feature someone who’s more relatable! But still, i love their empanadas!!!
My empanadas are better than hers😂😂😂 but i love the collaboration between her & her staff-Good vibes & harmonious!
One of the staff is undergoing treatment for his life after a stroke. Let us support them. :)
