(I just added the warning screen in the beginning, since either OBS, laptop or both didn't want to record that part, so please be advised on that while playing. I'm also sorry if there are a number of dialogues skipped, mainly because of don't know what's auto playing, aside from the glitched ones, panic plus skill issue, and/or both.)
Illusion Carnival is an indie adventure RPG, with Psychological Horror (and maybe a bit of Bullet Hell, with i-frame dodging) elements, where you play as a lost soul that become a black and white paper boat character, and must try to escape Confettia, and the horror it lurks. This tackles the full first Chapter, with again, unfortunate dialogue skipped, as the aformentioned statement above. I said Chapter instead of Part, as the game page says, well it will be weird to say, Part Part, but then, I've done it before anyways, just to refer the episodic nature of the game. I also edited a bit out of the long loading one, so you don't have to suffer that much from loading I guess.
Overall, this game is amazing, a lot of promising start, and a lot of interesting build ups and mysteries, especially on the characters! They are also colorful and well written. The combat can be fun, but it's also very tight, especially timing the use of the character's powers. Dodging with dash can be really satisfying as well. There might be some glitches, but not that worrying much, just be warned with the Teddy Head part as well, as I'm unsure if that was intended to happen. Writing and dialogues are also pretty good, despite their can be errors at times. Overall, this is an excellent start, and an excellent indie game. It is surprising my laptop can run this game.
