You just gotta have a check list and if it isn't memorized, write it down and repeat it until it is
Was at a crowded ramp. Had checked the plug and was setting fenders and lines on one side. A bunch of kids walked past the back of my boat. When I got the boat in the water, I realized they had taken my plug out. Pulled the trailer back up and put my back up in. At the end of the day, was getting ready to back down the ramp, and realized something else was wrong. Someone had loosened all 10 of the studs in both wheels. This all happened with a park ranger at the ramp. Now I put the plug in from the inside. No I don’t use that ramp anymore. There was so much vandalism, the town closed it and dumped big rocks there.
My friend I'd be so pissed off at that point. I'd have my buddies come and watch my truck and trailer while took the boat out so we could catch someone doing something. Grab them and bring them out in the boat with us and see how far they can swim.
Get drain plug with loop and hang it on the bow safety chain hook. Hard to forget if you do that.

It has always confused me how a captain can run a boat at high speed, pulling skiers and tubers and not mess anything up, but as soon as they get into tight quarters and low speed maneuvering they just loose their minds and forget how to operate the vessel. Great stuff as always CCC!
Boats handle better at speed there a bit cumbersome at slower speeds and docking has so many factors to consider. Current,wind and single engines are the worst at slow speeds and tight spaces until you get really good with them. A lot of these people are boating like 3 or 4 times a year so they don't get a ton of docking practice either. Half of the boats you see will be for sale soon 😂

Hello Friends, Boating Enthusiasts, And Supporters of the World Famous CCC: THANK YOU CAPTAIN for a truly wonderful & educational video filmed in real time. I may be in the minority but thank God for the FWC. Up here in N.J. we gave the State Police where you don't get a re-education session, you get a notice to appear + it's a very expensive learning process. You guy's in Florida have a more laid-back approach to things. Every time I was on the waters in Florida those MURDER HORNETS would do whatever they pleased & couldn't give a flying donut if they hit or injured you + they would just keep going so you could say I'm in support of the FWC. Do what your suppose to do & there won't be a problem. CAPTAIN, I hope your son & family are all doing well & would you please get them on your boat for family day documentary 🙏 . 55-year-old Floridian here from the panhandle but I lived in Central Florida and South Florida for nearly 20 years. I was a 100 ton master and I have to say there have been a lot of dumbasses on the water for decades down here! So the more things change the more they stay the same....

At the end of the 10 minute mark he did have that trailer real deep, and when I’m out with my girl I do the same exact thing and just for the reason that she doesn’t have to throttle the boat up to hook it up. Smart man there!

Damn they’ve updated that ramp since I was there, about 20 years ago! Best thing to do is put flags on the trailer, so you can see the trailer! I used to do all the preflight in the driveway at home!

A friend years ago taught me a memory technique. As soon as i step out of the truck the sentence pops in my head. ( Before you begin put the plug in.) I haven't forgot my plug in 30 years.

About the Tug Boat, several weeks ago the Orlando Newspaper wrote a piece about it. It was from world war II and was used in Europe then, it has come home to be restored.
When I was about 10 years old my dad made me back up a john deere lawn tractor trailer with a dodge 2500. I was almost in tears but oh boy can I back up any trailer now

First time here, nice channel. Two comments, yes, jet-boat low speed handling doesn't exist, if you need to make a fine adjustment then just bail out and try again. Many SUV's now won't let drive at all with the hatch open so test your vehicle so you're not surprised.

I got a 21’ Crownline on a tandem axle and I still drop my tailgate 😅. I learned that trick from my old man when I was a knee high lol

First launch coming up this weekend, honestly not looking forward to it. I pull trailers constantly at work. Doesn't matter your experience. Little trailers like Jetski trailers, especially if they are narrower than your truck, are very hard to maneuver.

Safety inspection consist of the amount on boat equals the amount of lifevest on the vessell? Or is there more to it
Depending on the vessel it can be more, you may need a throwable, noise maker, fire extinguisher and the kill switch hooked up and working; here in Texas anyway.

At the Boat Ramps you need to be prepared to do what you came to do & git da F#@K Up out of the way so others can do the same! Nothing worse than people who want
to load the boat after they've tied up the ramp. You can pull to the side before you back down to launch & that what you should do but we all know that some people are
inconsiderate when boating? Some don't know better but others do know but just don't care? Teach them to be courteous & fast..... lol
