- As always the North Berwick Highland Games is a great day out. The day was mixed weather wise but improved as the day progressed. The Grade One medley competition took place in changeable but dry conditions.
This is Inveraray and District's performance in the Grade One Medley competition. Inveraray also took the overall prize although Boghall and Bathgate was awarded first place in the March, Strathspey and Reel competition and was the overall runner up. A total of seven bands played - three from outside the UK.
This is the same medley the band played at Dumbarton. The tunes are:
Highland Mary, Lieutenant McGuire's Jig (sorry for the typo in the video), The Rakes of Kildare, Christ Our Hope in Life and Death, Hech How Johnny Lad, The Laird o' Drumblair, Jock Wilson's Ball, The Fairy Dance
Thank you again for bringing these videos to us...
Love watching drum sergeant get into the groove.
What a show of force from the World Champions elect! You guys and gals make my day!
As always, thank you, dronechorus for recording and posting.
Awesome as always
Well done and did I spot a certain Ali Mackenzie from the down-under City of Invercargill HPB, back to have another crack at knocking off FMM off their perch? Gie it laldy I&D and all the best for the Worlds. Bring it back home.👍👍
Very tasteful tune selection.
The full title of the Air is 'Christ our hope in life and death'.
Do you know where to find the music for that?
Holy balls just to cut out the chanters like a concert
whatttttttt
