I love Japanese motorports, it is so much more artistic than going in a straight line as fast as possible. This drifting is so intricate especially since the track is unevenly wet.
1:59:57 and 3:42:16 very happy to see a Z34 in drift, even if it was rough
I'm sorry but racing (except for drag racing) isn't about going in a straight line as fast as possible. No matter if it's Rallye, Formula 1,Nascar, Indy Car or Moto GP - it is and always was about being the fastest through a corner. In a straight line, the cars and bikes from the different series have pretty much the same speed, it's the grip in the corners that makes a Champion.
@@Garfuck True, but in most motorsports (like the ones you mentioned) the drivers are always trying to "straighten" the corners as best as they can (by following the ideal line which is always as straight as possible), while in FD the drivers are actually doing the exact opposite: They are "welcoming" the corners, precisely following their curved shapes and they are even trying to extend the curves into the straights.
Furthermore - unlike basically any other motorsport - drifting is not about the fastest lap-times but about rather complex factors like style and angle (which is why you need actual human judges who decide over winners and losers, just like in artistic gymnastics and other artistic sports) and you have to find the perfect sweet-spot between too little and too much grip, whereas e.g. in Formula 1 or NASCAR there is no such thing as "too much grip" ^^
So FD is definitely quite unique in a lot of ways - NOT (objectively) "better" or "worse" than other motorsports, but definitely a welcome addition.
2:36:00 toe is in both front and back. front is for control and cornering, rear is for acceleration if the toe is out. high speed is sacrificed, though

Here's what I don't understand in the tightest most technical part of the track they have a wall? when setting up the course why don't they just set it up in an area where there's no wall. Way more cars would live and not be wrecked

Just started watching this drifting stuff and its far more interesting than most other motorsports today. That Alexi (Noriyaro) guy is great to listen to, not just knowledgeable on drifting but very fluent in our generations culture :P

The S## cars from nisssan are very popular because the are a great platfrom to build on and there wheel base is just the perfect for drifting... in terms of forza their trier whould be S class or S1 when modded
