The Burger Everyone Is Talking About

The burger Everyone has been talking about. The Flying Dutchman Burger. Two Smashburger patties with cheese. But.. Two Crispy Fried Charred Onions make up the "Buns". Not to mention we got a Burger sauce and sour pickles on this amazing burger. Below is the recipe for the burger sauce.
Burger Sauce:
1 Cup Mayo,
1 1/2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard,
1 1/2 Tbsp Ketchup,
2 Tbsp Chopped Dill Pickle or Sweet Relish.
2 Tsp Onion Powder,
1 Tsp Garlic Powder,
1/2 Tsp Red Wine Vinegar,
Salt and Pepper to Taste, I used about 1/2 Tsp Each.
Mix Well.

Interesting concept. Maybe battering and then breading the onion and then deep frying it would help hold it together along with using both ends of the onion and cutting them about 1-1.5 inches thick instead of two thinner slices from the middle.

maybe deep fry the onions to make it more grippy

Don't your hands get extremely greasy holding that? Seems like the "buns" would keep sliding off. Other than that, looks good.
