I really expected Eep to be jealous of Dawn at first too. I love that the film didn't go down that old route of pitting female characters against eachother over a boy.
I also like that this film was more about the Bettermans learning that people who are different aren't less than them
yeah, they focused on the ACTUAL real conflict of Guy realizing that happiness is not found in a specific place, but in people. Yeah, it was a pain living in the wild, and with uncomfortable and gross conditions, but he was overall happy, because he had Eep there with him. I found that more compelling and interesting as a conflict than the typical romance triangle.
Pretty much I see these lessons in both movies.
The Croods: don’t be afraid to adapt in order to survive.
The Croods 2: it’s OK to adapt for survival, but don’t adapt yourself as a person.
I really had fun with the Croods sequel! In my opinion, it’s a good follow up to the first one. The humor is still pretty great, the animation, plus visuals are beautiful, and the cast, very good. Thanks for the reaction, Nick!
I really liked this movie! But as most sequels simply follow the tone of the first movie, I expected this to be more serious, but it was more comical instead. I was a little weirded out, honestly. But it’s a good movie!
Hands-down my favorite thing about this film is that Eep and Dawn never have a falling out. There are so many times they could have turned on each other and they didn't. I appreciate that.

This sequel actually almost never happened because around the time when Universal finished their acquisition of DreamWorks, there were doubts that the film would be continued and the studio decided to cancel it until it was revived in September 2017.

When the trailer came out and I saw how much more lighthearted and cartoony the Croods sequel was gonna be, I was full on expecting to hate this movie.
It surprised me though, it's definitely cringy in places, but it's pretty good, can't lie.
The "Unicorn? Walrus?" is a real-life critter called a narwhal, a type of whale, the males of which have a long protruding tusk. Look'em up, they're cool.
Actually, in the movie it is meant to be a Narwheal. Half narwhal, half seal.
I think the problem in the movie was that one side was too wild and the other side too proper, in my personal opinion. I strongly believe that you should always try to evolve and change in ways that can help you be better, but you should never let yourself be confined. You need a balance. You need to be able to evolve but still be free-spirited.
This movie is out of place and too much saturated. The story is 4.5/10 but the comedy is so hilarious 10/10. And I don't like Eep being overdramatic and acting like an edgy teenager in a stone age world it feels so odd.

The thing that bothered me is the characters don't look like they did at the end of the last one. I liked the movie so much, but i loved the first movie so much more.

I actually haven't watched this one, I think I was so in love with the first that I didn't want to risk not liking the second edition. Apparently it's very good though, so maybe I should watch it in its entirety.
It is very good I recommend 100% it adds to the already great story and I personally think it’s hilarious for some it might be cringy i think it’s filled with heavy satire and stereotypes of what cliche movies have which is why it’s enjoyable to watch.😌

I absolutely had a blast watching this film, the animation and story wise while being a bit basic, was really well made ans entertaining to experience.
I watch this Movie 2 Weeks Ago and I Love this Movie and it's just as Good as the Original that I Laugh and Got Emotional and can be Relatable and with Nicolas Cage,Emma Stone,and Ryan Reynolds makes it even Better,It's Unknown if DreamWorks would Make a Croods 3 since Peacock is Currently making a Croods Series but let's Hope and Pray that a Trilogy Happens.

So the first movie I didn’t like so much at first but it definitely grew on me. The second one I love cause it’s so much clever and better animated xD. I think it actually helped me like the first one even more

This movie is sooooo weird lol but I love it
So funny and entertaining, but it didn't hold a candle to the original. Too many cringy moments, and some parts that were suppose to be emotional were just overlapped with the comedy. It's the same problem the Shrek movies had. I wish Dreamworks would have more balance in that department. They do it a lot when it comes to sequels.
Still a decent enough sequel. I absolutely adored how Eep saw a new friend to be made instead of seeing Dawn as a rival. It was a great change of trope, and something we can learn from. It's great you enjoyed it 😉
Shrek 2/4 handle the balance well imo.

I actually didn't enjoy this sequel almost at all, which was very disappointing cause the trailer was so promising. The visuals were beautiful of course, but none of the jokes landed with me.
I think the first one was a masterpiece, intelligent and hilarious and beautiful to watch without being too hard on the eyes, I always come back to it. And the second one just didn't check anything from that list for me. It's tolerable I guess but wouldn't recommend anybody to continue to it after watching the first one.
I am however very happy for you, I'm glad you did enjoy it, we're different people with different tastes and that's ok :)

Not only the new director forget there were bananas in the 1st movie, he made the movie more goofy. I'd much rather go to sleep knowing the original movie was better and saved the loss Dreamworks had when their previous project Rise of the Guardians flopped.
This sequel didn't feel like the first movie from having the best cinematography and instead making a very different story out of croods characters.

This movie is good, but has a continuity error. Sandy doesn’t say her first word in this movie, she said her first word in the first movie which was "Dadda", not "Boomsies".
The animation of the characters in the first one was better.
I liked this one buuut its not as good as the first.

I still think they should have gone balls to the walls and made Guy a brother figure and given Eep a girlfriend. The kind of fire that would be lit under this movie. I'm glad they made them gal pals though and didn't make Eep jealous and Dawn vindictive to create drama even though we know the original pair would stay together by the end like so much other media.

Kroger's ride in that will creature that he's that water creatures ride in that Kroger's riding that's a narwhal they're like the type of very rare narwhals barely see him back to the legend of unicorn supposedly came from a narwhal you see a few videos talking about him online but that's rarely those videos are quite special cuz rarely you do see narwhals and nature to Curtis strange mythical creature almost because you rarely see narwhals in in nature
It was a good sequel. The whole “I guess I love you” sequences still makes me laugh and the visuals are great but I think they made modern problems too obvious with the whole privacy issue, relationship issues, the son being obsessed with window (symbolising today’s generation’s addiction with mobile and technology) and honestly I feel the whole thunder sisters sequence was too much for a animated movie cause evident they were targeted for feminism. The grandma almost going whole nude was too much and honestly her hair being a pet all along makes no sense cause in first movie they didn’t even know what a pet is, unless they want to say that she lost her hairs after first movie and then found a pet that actually resembles her actual hair. I think Dawn was a great addition to cast, her character was relatable and I’m glad she didn’t turn out to be a love interest for guy.
I’m one of those who dislikes this film.
The first one was so heartwarming and... “alive”, the textures, the characters, everything.
The second one is plasticky, cheap, and just a sad cash grab that plays on nostalgia and tropes, it disappointed me.
Yeah, they even made a crappy episodes from Netflix. The first one is superior
