- This is part 2 of my documentary, "Aswan Temples and the Nubians of Upper Egypt." In this video, we are welcomed into the home and life of a Nubian family on Sugar Island in Aswan, Upper Egypt. The Nubians are said to be the oldest civilization in the world so check out how their descendants are living in today's Egyptian society. Please post your comments on the video!
masha Allah this is great. my ancestors are nubians and it makes me proud to know i'm from old civiization. unfornately we have lost our culture for being pushed out of Egypt long ago. I know some nubians are still there, but most went to lower Egypt and upper Sudan too. I have been research my ancestors and asking questions of old family member who are left. Thanks sister so much for sharing your experiences.

I am a Nubian from Sudan and proud of that. I speak the Nubian language fluently. We Nubians are the origin of the ancient civilization that ruled Egypt and Sudan. The English colonialism is the one that set the borders between countries, but it cannot separate the history of Nubia from the Nubians. We have the greatest civilization in Africa and the world. We are Africans and we are proud of that.

I really don't know why they say Egyptian Nubian. That's like saying Italian Sicilian or North south Korean. At one point in history Egyptians and nubians were the same people and were indistinguishable. The borders we see today did not exist.

as one of these people from the southern part of the land in sudan i say thank you LAdona you have done a great job showing nubians hard life after living paradise like for centuries along the River Nile. for those who want to go i suggest they should start from Northern Sudan Kerma the ancient city see the museum and the Defofa and travel down towards Egypt by road seeing along interesting ancient sites. at Solib south of lake nubia another recently established museum. the people all the way to Aswan are just same like in this video. the sudanese part is being damaged by gold miners using banned deadly chemicals and stealing artifacts in the process of ilegal gold mining activity even by elements employed by govt officials or politicians !!

This Nubian look like so many ethnic group that you can find in everywhere in Africa and if you see the wife she has different look but still Nubian. That is Africa. My self i am from Nigeria, but people among Nigeria community always think, i am from East Africa because of my look. If you want to see more unmixed nubians on average however today you need to see vids about the nubians in sudan like darfur,northern sudan and central sudan/the nuba hills,and chad and furher south in east afric alike the nubians in kenya etc...

These are the descendants of the real Egyptians of antiquity, not the impostors ruling the country now. This is what the impostors have been trying to hide for years. Your critics who insist we aren't of Nubian origins are missing a crucial part of history. What is now Black SubSaharan Africa wasn't always so. The original inhabitants there were another ethnicity, the Khoi-San (or "Bushmen"). Between 1000 BCE and 1AD there was a massive migration of the group known as "True Negroes" - our ancestors - that displace them, pushing them south, where they live today.

There were some nubians that fled and live in the nuba hills and darfur with other blacks by the way and they are unmixed.there are called darfur nubians and hill nubians.like i said some even went to chad and other placed in africa.they do have any white blood.

Good documentary. However, I am beginning to see a different light. I don't see us as being nubian or egyptian like I use to. I see us more like the nigerians, the guineans, and some Hausa people. I have been black all my life and i have never seen an African American with straight hair or reddish brown skin unless they were mixed. They do not have the ancient black features that we are so famous for. We are more like west Africans. If we are nubians or egyptians, that remains to be seen.
But I have seen them in my family I use to wonder who my grandparent and greats look like in west Africa than one day I met a Ethiopian woman that's who they look like hair features everthing the same white people always lie
