Thank you for the video! Look forward to checking things out!
We went Miami to LA on Bliss in January/February. Lovely ship and great crew. We spent a large proportion of the trip in the District Brewhouse. Great guy from Brazil playing and singing most evenings.
We’re doing the reverse in Feb 2026…does the ship get boring or do you get a little stir crazy after 15 days?? Never taken a longer cruise than 7 days so far and we’re a little bit leery of 2 weeks plus (even though the itinerary sounds Wonderful!)
Was on the bliss in May to Alaska! Nice cruise - had club balcony suite - it was a nice size for the 2 of us
We really loved that ship when we went to cabo and the steaks are amazing
great ship took it to panama loved it
Great video, going on it in May. It will be my second time in Alaska.
Booked for mid Sept. 2023 !
thank you
thanks for watching!
We’re planning a trip for August and I appreciate the informative review. I’ll be buying some magnetic hooks! Question regarding tipping. The tips are added with food and drink packages. We also have to pay $280pp for other tips, I assume for the room steward? How much additional tipping and how often is it required? Every drink, every special meal, and more at the end for the steward? I haven’t cruised in decades and I really don’t know. I’m asking so I have enough cash on the trip. Thank You.
if you have the drink package and dinning package, you have already pre-paid the tips so no need to pay extra at all. but if you are a drinker and find a nice bar and bartender that really takes care of you or one you like, if you slide them cash they will take extra care of you, heavy pours, have your drink ready for you when you get there lol. the room steward the same, you pay that already with your gratuities. really not much need to tip on board, always have cash when are in port or use a credit card. if you go on an excursion and the guide is really good you can slip them a little extra cash too. Have fun!
280$ is also optional i believe? Hoe do we justify not paying for that?
Has anyone gone in April? Just wondering how the weather was?
You might’ve had an easier time if you requested an Accesible balcony room….Even on NCL, their Accesible rooms are Noticably bigger (Royal Caribbean’s Accessible Balcony rooms are almost twice the size )
indeed, we may have to do that next time if Mom cruises again. We try and not take those as there are many that might need them more than us and there are usually not many available. So we suffer a little to allow others the access :-)
I have a large 60# service dog for epilepsy. Their facilities I guess met Ada requirements but they suck. Small 3’ sandbox? That’s it. Nothing like the airports provide. Extremely disappointed. He was miserable.
@@cr2884 oh no, I actually didn't even know they had that for dogs. Sorry to hear they didn't have better accommodations for service dogs :-(
Thanks for the reviews! Weare taking this in about 2 weeks. Trying Cagneys and the French Restaurant. Maybe one more?? Did you see the Northern Lights?? One other cruise on this ship did. Thanks!!
that is great, no didn't see any Northern lights but I was mostly inside during dark times.
Just wondering how your cruise went? I'm looking at booking it for next year or Celebraty.
Thanks Tom
It’s very helpful except of course you are staying on balcony so you are unable to describe how it is if you are staying on the inner room.
we sat next to you...at the Japanese resteraunt.... my mom... and my sister... we also had trouble with the wheel chair
ah yes I remember, hope you had a good cruise overall? thanks for sharing my birthday dinner with me! And watching my videos
You noted that you got in quicker with you mom having a walker. Was there anything that you did for that to happen or was it just a stroke of luck? My mom uses a cane and we are going on the Bliss this October for an Alaskan cruise. We've tried to find out any info on priority boarding for the cruise.
Extremely helpful. Great review style - very conversational. Count me in as a sub.
thanks!!!
Just found you...going on the bliss September to Alaska....are the pools heated and is there a pizzaria
I never tried the pools so don't know, there was pizza in the buffet area, I don't remember an actually Pizzaria though? there were a lot of food option places lol
Any info about the excursions, I'm a first timer and not sure about all of that.
I have videos on the excursions that I did, but you can see all the options they have available online of course.
I was on the Viva and wasn't impressed by this video I think I will look to see what other cruises go to Alaska
thanks for watching. Might want to check out Princess or Holland America.
Club balconies have larger bathrooms.
yes, it was def a larger bathroom than I have been in before. thanks for watching!
what sail date was your trip?
was May 6th.
lovely cruise 7/10, prepare to have covid when you come back, also stops are to short, there were queues of 1hr to get off, then 20mins at one stop then queues to get back, most you have is at Juneau, my favourite day. it makes sense on this cruise to get the priority disembarkation, you go down the stairs to floor 4 first, first onto the buses, rest its queuing on floor 5.First to buses, first away from cruise, its a lot different to Euro cruises which spend all day at a port, thus allowing real travel time and visit times. for me its a one shot holiday. Food was good, drinks always good, observation lounge always full, Spa was full first days then only during port stop times, no beds after those that returned. One tip, get the Spa room upgrade, complimentary access to spa, instead of paying. We did feel movement in waves on 3 days, so being mid ship really helped though in our party that were back and forwards felt it a lot more. We were on floor 13 midship so quite happy.
You spelled dining wrong
Awesome, thanks for watching checking my spelling mistakes :-)
You must be very serious and detail-oriented 😅😅😅
