Little context to the story of steven: he didn't kill his brother because he went crazy ( not completely the reason anyway), he killed him because he blames him for the death of his charizar. He lovved his charizard, but his brother asked to trade him so he could complete his pokedex. He was hesitant but went along with it. Something happened during the trade and his charizard ended up dying. He snuck in his room that night while he was sleep and broke his neck

Also here's some information about Strangled Red and Hellbells:
Steven is actually the player's name in the creepypasta, the character is still Red, his brother is Mike, and the reason why he killed Mike is because he wanted to sacrifice his brother to revive his Charizard. Fun fact: When Red is strangling Mike, in his vision he sees him smiling, but he's actually not.
Now about the Hellbells one, the players name is Alexis and she's playing as Dawn. She gets that pokemon (i forgot about it's name), from that old man, but it's weird and it's name is "Hellbell". Because she's Christian she tries to get rid of it, and in the end she has to bring it back to "Beelz". When she arrives there the old man tells her that he takes the pokemon, but first he needs to know the players name and after that she has to breath into the console. After that he claims her soul, after which the player can't sleep, eat well, and the animals all are afraid of her. Also I've heard that "Beelz" is the devil, as in like Beelzebub.
