This is the very first video on my channel from the beautiful country of BRAZIL!! (My last and only visit was in 2016, before I owned a video camera). This is a story where Drew Binsky meets Bear Grylls - as I take you deep into the Amazon rainforest to meet an indigenous man, Lino, who lives completely isolated on his own!
After months and months of planning, I was finally able to make this trip happen, and it was one for the books! Join me on the adventure to track Lino down, spend a day in his life, and see if I have what it takes to survive for 24 hours in the world's biggest rainforest!
Thank you to Iguana Tours for taking me on this amazing trip to the Amazon! You can book your tour by contacting them on Instagram or their website!

Hey guys! I'd love to get your feedback on this video! I don't normally do 'challenge' type concepts, but this one was pretty unique because I got to spend a day with a jungle warrior, Lino, who lives completely alone in the wilderness! Do you like this kind of content? Or do you prefer exploring dangerous hoods, learning about indigenous tribes, or going to crazy destinations like Afghanistan? Your feedback is very valuable to me, as I'm always looking to improve my storytelling and pave the way for the future of this channel. Thank you!
ALSO - I apologize that I called the snake a King Cobra, when it is a Boa Constrictor. I misunderstood my guide. I try my best to keep everything factual, but please keep in mind that my team and I are humans and we do make mistakes. This video took 5 editors about 1 month of work to edit, and I'm very happy with the story we told. But sometimes, mistakes happen and I will do my best to triple-check everything in the future. Thanks guys!
Hello
A fat guy hunting with a gun. Amazing what a tribesman in the middle of a jungle and can't get anything
Lino's so relaxed and chill, just like us in our own living rooms. It's so amazing how he knows this forest like the back of his hand.
It’s beautiful 😊
thank you for the amazing video!
That "King Cobra" was defiantly not a king cobra and is actually just a Boa Constrictor. Still an incredibly beautiful and dangerous snake (when large enough)!
Had to show my girlfriend a picture of a king cobra because ‘the CZcams video can’t be wrong’. I’ve been watching/researching wildlife since I was a kid girl trust me😂
Was about to say the same thing. Thats clearly a Constrictor. How does Drew not know that?
He was already getting on my nerves acting like he had never been outside before, but I almost had to stop watching after the king cobra nonsense.
Exactly. Do the minimum research. 'Squire monkeys' no such thing, alligators only live in North America. But I think why he says cobra is because he heard it from the people he is with. He's in the Brazilian Amazon. In Portuguese the word snake is 'cobra.' Therefore all snakes are cobras to them.
Yes definitely not a cobra
Lino is an amazing man. To be able to live off of the land n a dangerous jungle is fascinating.
Way to go Drew.
Once I read an interesting idea about life; that one of the grteatest things you can do is being unique, doing stuff nobody did, creating things nobody created, etc.
When I was working as an engineer for a big company I thought that if I would suddenly die, next week someoine else would be in my place doing the same I did. I drpped my job went away from Brazil, visited 20 countries, stayed for a longer time in 8 of them. I have been focused on doing stuff to live an unique life ever since.
Drew is one among very few people, who has been doing something nobody has done and that's a life worth living! Thank you man for all the adventures we love to watch.
It was nice seeing Lino smile so much, I’m really glad he enjoyed himself with you and everyone.
true
Its so easy just sitting here at home watching your videos, and some people seem to think what youre doing is privileged and easy... but yall, Drew is actually out here and doing it 👌 imagine sitting in the Amazon, the humidity and wild-ness of it all. Youre an inspiration Drew, really 🙏 ive told you this before, i just really appreciate your love of life. Thanks for sharing and be safe 🌵
@skrillozedd Totally agree! Drew's dedication and love for adventure are truly inspiring. As a travel vlogger, I aspire to showcase amazing places and take my audience along for the ride, just like Drew does. 👌
Drew Please teach me how to be do travel videos and be like you 😢
Amazon is so mysterious and full of life!
I didn’t expect that someone actually lives in that rainforest!
Amazon I watched in your video is very different from what I had imagined in the past!
I look forward to traveling there one day!
You did a super great job as always, thanks a lot for sharing! 👍😍👏

the AI is getting better? or worse?
@@Amir_Nassir So that k is AI, okay, thanks a lot for letting me know!
@@giannishen yes i eat nothing but bacon, eggs, steak, shrimp, corn, cheese, butter, hambugarm, chckien, cheese, butter, corn, hotdog
@@Amir_Nassir Wish you good appetite!
I always love your videos, especially when we get a look at indigenous cultures still using old ways in everyday practice. We used to cut 21 young Willows, twelve for uprights and the rest for the side supports. Start a fire with a good size pile of lava rocks in it, strip the willow's bark for ties and put them in a bucket of water or stream and start building a dome big enough for however many people you had in the group and by the time the rocks were red hot the lodge would be built, blankets on it and have a good sweat! The lodge would last a good year. With extra time and using smaller branches with the leaves intact woven through the uprights, no blankets are even needed and a good tight job would keep the rain out and heat in. Can be done with only a good knife and a sharpened stick to dig the upright poles in.
So happy you survived another awesome adventure!!!
This is the Drew insky style I fell in love with some years ago! This is raw, talented, amazing editing and storytelling, and most of all, traveling worldwide to tell a travel story ... Keep up the amazing work, Drew! 👏👏👏
If I found myself there in the jungle somehow, I think being eaten by a jaguar may be a blessing. The heat alone would be miserable...forget all the mosquitoes and snakes. Respect to Lino, he is the man!
Love how you challenge yourself, Drew! I’m fascinated by the Amazonian rainforest with its indigenous people and diverse wildlife.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback!
npc
Lol, do you think for half a fucking second this monkey would be doing this if he wasn't getting paid for it? There was no story here, it was just him complaining about shit for 30 minutes. He's not there because he gives a flying fuck about the forest or that dude. They're simply a means to the end. The tools used to make a video for his profit.
Do some research you will find the Amazon rainforest has been heavily manipulated by man.
@@drewbinsky that was a boa constrictor not a king cobra. & Boas are non venomous. Docile but not as docile as a ball python. Popular as pets but need a lot of space. If it's hungry yes it could eat a person if it's large enough.
I think you should do more videos like this drew.
You are an extremely like-able person, and normal. I’d rather watch happy and normal trying to survive, than a professional to be honest. We can judge our own survival better with someone we can relate to. Which is you.
Thanks brother for all that you do.
Glad Shawn is okay btw. Glad you are too.
Really appreciate that Thank you so much!
@@drewbinsky for sure.😇 If more tubers were as respectful and nice as you, it’d be so much better for the platform.
Who needs betterhelp when we got happy and calm you 😉😊✌️🕉️
You ‘re a brave man Drew. I enjoyed this one because it shines a light on the people and animals of the Amazon. We need to save this beautiful and important part of the earth!
I just got back from a similar experience outside of Iquitos in the Pacaya Samiria reserve… knowing that there now is a Drew Binsky video that doesn’t make me jealous means I’ve moved up in life 🤩
Bro is the real life Tarazan but has dad bod 💀
haha
real
In Peruvian Amazon, i noticed people were addicted to processed products from the developed world. And most plastic trash was from outside South American countries.
@@akshayspaceship interesting
Because he uses a gun instead of a spear
12:01 all those mosquitoes on his face and he's not even bothered by it 😱
😂
When I was a kid I used to have a Colombian Red Tailed Boa Constrictor named Precious that had those same markings and coloring. Only 5 foot long though...😎 We moved to Big Bear Lake California so I had to give him away to a friend as the air was to thin at 6,000 feet and too cold a climate for him. Very cool snake.
Love to you drew! You’re a big inspiration mate
You should go to the Caatinga! Also in Brazil! It’s a semi arid environment unique that only exits in the Northeast of our country 🇧🇷 We call it “sertão”
Thank you!
It's true, the caatinga is a pretty unique bioma
@@drewbinskyYou should visit the brazilian Pantanal as well , Drew. Pantanal is the brazilian wet lands , a biome kinda similar to the swamps in Miami and Louisiana. Welcome to Brazil 🇧🇷
Do whatever makes you happy! That is what makes any content genuine. I’ll continue to watch either way 😌.
Drew I really love your wholesome content and following your adventures around the world.
Love this video Drew, recently started watching you.. some very intresting videos you do. Props to you Man. Stay Safe!
Appreciate you !
This was so amazing ! I appreciate you showing us the world 🌎
I love the challeange video idea! please do more of these types!
This made my week. I love the authenticity on these videos and I hope you do more like this!
The both the editing and the content are amazing!
Thank you so much!
@@drewbinsky No, thank you! After every hard work week, this is what I look forward to the most!
just keeps getting better and better drew. keep it up and stay safe.
I love these videos drew I might never do these adventures but I can say I am with you on them so i thank you
It is wonderful to learn so much about the vastness and richness of our Amazon from such a unique perspective. Thank you! plus, I am glad you were so well taken care at such a wild dangerous place. What a generous guide and the indigenous guy amazing surviving skills.
Drew is just simply an amazing man!!! I love your zeal for what you do🔥🔥💪💪
Wow!! NICE visuals! ❤ This is very nice video! More of this challenge type of video, Drew 😊
Amazing vlog. Thanks Drew for making unique vlogs.
My pleasure!
Drew, Im really excited for your book to come out today! I took the day off just to be here the second it arrives! I have high expectations and Im sure theyll be exceeded!
Wow!!! The Amazon rainforest is a truly fascinating place. So interesting to have a glimpse of what life is really like there! Such a cool experience
Respect for the survival skills👍
Just a big Thank you ,Mr Binsky!
I love the peacefulness of this. Yes, we want more. I'm ready to book a stay.
Great video Drew Binsky! To answer your question about what content to create, exploring dangerous hoods and crazy destinations probably going to bring in more views. Going to indigenous tribes is still great content. Mixing up the content is what we look for, repetitiveness sometimes isn't the best. Do what your heart desires though Drew. I and many others look forward to your videos on the weekends or whenever you post. Got kind of itchy watching this due to the mosquitos LOL! Rock on Drew Binsky!
Really appreciate your feedback! Yes I think a healthy mix is best
Your book came in the mail today! I'm already two chapters in and honestly cannot put it down. Very inspiring, and I love your style of storytelling. I highly recommend purchasing the book, guys. Thanks again, Drew!
Wow, what an incredible journey! Your Amazon forest adventure was absolutely captivating. The way you captured the lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and the unique culture of the local communities was truly amazing. Your detailed explanations and stunning visuals made me feel like I was right there with you. Thank you for sharing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with us. Looking forward to more of your exciting travels
Well done Drew! You absolutely smashed it with this documentary!
You’re definitely a role model, and it’s where I inspire to be as a new travel content creator 👊👌
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
Huge respect to drew for surviving dangerous and deadly places
Drew I speak portugese fluently, and your tour guide was saying random BS in English, in 11:13 he translated it all wrong. HWat Lino actually said was, "It is pretty rare for the guy to survive",
thank you drew for bringing light into my life with each video you make
And thank you for watching !
Ur videos never let down keep it up love your journeys and the stories you get from each part of the world, lino is definitely the Tarzan man
Another awesome video and definitely be good to see others like this
From the freezing cold of Antarctica to the humid Amazon forest. Great work, Drew.
In 1973 we took a private plane from Leticia to the Brazilian Amazon, where we stayed with indians for a week, including a 2 day dugout trip upstream to their hunting ground.
Very beautiful nature love and save Amazon
amazing! love this type of your content!
Thank you so much! 😊
Another Awesome Adventure Thank You Drew 🙂❤👍
This was amazing, Drew. I've followed you since your channel was just about 100K. Your adventures inspire me as a travel vlogger to take my audience on wild journeys too. Keep it up!
Really nice video, Thanks for sharing.
Amazing! Thank you for this video, Drew! 😊
Thankful for Drew's suffering so I can go exploring too! I thought about (for all about 5 seconds) an Amazon tour when I went to Ecuador. However, if there's a mosquito within 300 miles, it will find me..and I knew it was just going to be miserable!
Life full of excitements and adventures ❤Have a life like everyday is the last day in this world.
"He doesnt likes snakes , he's afraid of snakes" 16:51
*me after seeing that big snake around his neck earlier in the video*:🤨😑😑😑
That snake was a Boa constrictor, they are not poisonous. He is probably still afraid of venomous snakes. Pythons, anacondas and boas, are all non-venomous.
Drew, thank you soo much for allowing people like me to live vicariously through your amazing adventures! THE best, brother!✊️
Thank you so much!
Cool❤ what a beautiful landscape, sooo amazing 👏🏾
Much love brother drew have blessed sunday God bless love love from California always supporting

Bro its always delight to watch your super amazing videos,i am watching your video since 4 years ... I really enjoy ❤.. thank you so much bruh for your efforts to make all of us viewers Happy and pleased
Wow! You're a true adventurer! The Amazon jungle is known to be incredibly dangerous, but you've actually explored it. I have so much respect for your passion to explore every corner of the world.
So so so much of love from india ❤
Damn my man does the no shirt/ basketball shorts combo living in the freakin Amazon. Much respect
Wow. I love this video. Like many on this channel.
Yes a new video this is going to be amazing😎
God damn, Lino be eating GOOD 😩😩🗣🗣🔥🔥🤰🫃
0:33 The way he was frightened 😂😂
I love exploring the hoods when I visit different countries. I also love visiting indigenous tribes. Crazy destinations are my specialty. I've been to the Amazon Rainforest. (Peru). And you give me more ideas. I love your content. Good job and keep up the good work.
Thank you for the great and exciting video, please keep it up!
But please for the future, if possible, learn something about the flora and fauna (for example, the snake that Lino shows you is a boa constrictor and definitely not a king cobra, because Lino definitely wouldn't handle it like that and secondly, king cobras are found in Asia) and for someone who loves snakes, the cover picture is a bit questionable, if I may say so.
My bad , my team and I made a mistake cuz we had thought our guide said cobra, but it’s in fact a boa. We got a little lost in translation. Thanks for pointing this out !
My first & utmost preference is for you to stay safe Drew! No matter how dangerous or adventurous your journey is, please do stay safe. In fact, I'd request you to make more "laid back“ trips, e.g. documenting unique cultures in the Caucasus, Mongolia, Caribbean or Pacific countries!
But all of the juicy stuff is in not-so-safe places :) everyone knows what Switzerland and Tokyo looks like, but I’m not as excited to go there :)
@@drewbinskythat's why I love you and your content drew 👌 but as OP said, please be safe 🙏 I wish you well
There was nothing extremely dangerous about this video. This is the daily life for thousands
The amazon forest is almost the same as the forest on the island of Borneo 😊It's like there are inland tribes that still live depending on nature, only there are many different animals😊
love the videos about the Amazon. Ive always wondered if you brought one of these indigenous people that survive like this to another place say another rainforest or just forests in another part of the world how well they could use there existing skills
I have thought about this too - would be an interesting experience for both me and him if I took him to São Paulo
Inspirational,motivational and Mind blowing🥰
I love anything you put out!!
Great video. Amazing Amazon!
Drew, I am new to your channel, and I must say I am loving your content. Your channel is very addictive! keep doing amazing work my brother and be safe!
Thanks Drew for sharing your travels. The guy who lives there is awesome as well as your interpertor. :) great content!
OMgsh ! That Red Tail Boa is beautiful!
Amazing video. yOu da man . cheers
mate
Great documentry !
🤣☠️🤣 "Do you party with the cobras?" 16:46 pretty sure those are constrictors lol
Love your video! About the mosquitoes and other insect bites that itch. I live in Alaska where there are swarms of mosquitoes. If you get a mosquito bite and it is very itchy a great way to stop the itch is to scald the bite area with hot water. Not enough to burn your skin just enough to make it red and neutralize the proteins from the saliva of the mosquito. Be careful not to burn yourself!
Awesome to watch
That tree was incredible!
What a video!!!! Please do a part 2
I also like to see what you contribute to those who have little, not technology, but maybe food, toys, clothing, tools... when you travel. The country doesn't matter. How you relate to people does.
There are lots of undiscovered uncontacted tribes in the amazon thats so fascinating
Amazing video 😍 i salute you Drew
Great episode, thanks Drew
Knowing you Drew you will survive and thrive my brother❤
Glad to know that you visited my Country. Way to go @Drew Binsky
It surely is a beautiful place!
Its been a long time I am watching your videos but THIS video is next level.
Hey Drew, I love your videos and would one day love to travel like you
Thank you so much!
@@drewbinsky I would love to join you on a trip to Mexico! 🇲🇽
hey man! Amazing video! - The snake was a Boa constrictor, so it doesn't have any venom. If it bit you, you'd be fine (As long as it doesn't constrict you..)
For mosquitos lavender, peppermint and rosemary with almond oil as the carrier oil keep them away. And it smells good!
What a great video! I prefer this type of challenge more than money challenge 😃
Love watching your channel
Mr. GruBinsky 😂
