I love when Joel Richardson is on The Jim Bakker Show! I trust what he shares. He puts a great deal of work into researching and sharing what he has learned from his research and his knowledge of the Bible. Sorry, but Ricky is off base here @2:43 when he says "The thing that separates us from other religions is the fact that *we* have forgiveness." He's not completely wrong, but he still missed the mark completely. The thing that separates Christianity from every other religion is the fact that our God (Jesus Christ) came to earth, lived a sinless life as a man, and then endured all of our shame when He was brutally beaten, spat on, and then hung up on a cross. He (our God) endured the most horrific punishment and torture a human being can possibly endure in order to purchase our freedom from sin. No other "god" in the history of mankind has ever done that. We sinned; our God owes us nothing, and yet He gave it all, and took the hit for humanity so that we would not have to endure the eternal punishment due us. Friends, *that* is forgiveness. We were not "owed" grace, we were not "owed" forgiveness, yet our forgiveness was purchased by His blood. He died so that we could live, and as such, we are not only free to forgive; we are *commanded* to forgive, even before the other person is sorry - AND THEY MAY NEVER BE SORRY. We forgive because we were forgiven, even before we were sorry. Romans 5:8 spells it out for us: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." That means, while we were still hostile toward God, His enemies, He died for us. What other "god" has done that for their religious devotees?

Hey, we are not in a spirit body for billions of years. This was good up until this comment. Read the Book! We will have resurrected supernatural bodies. This spiritual body thing comes from Plato philosophy. And I reject it.
