Lilith just give everyone a free Talene and a bunch of free summons. Bring back the Hype!
In the description for the trailer, they said that an update was coming on July 3rd. That may be when Talene is dropping. :)
I was just thinking this. Everyone gets 1 copy for free. Guild shop 50% off(15,000 coins) 1st copy only. Gazer able to use diamonds 1-2 copies then requires tickets again. Then rest of the copies for higher ascension can be paid for or earned for. At least then M+ will be much more accessible at the rate they pump out these hypo/cele characters
I feel like it would be cool to get a story/quest event involving her where you get a copy of her at the end. even if most people don't care about the lore it seems Talene is such a big deal it's weird if she doesn't get some sort of story in the game and I like the idea of getting heroes that way in general.

I wanna be excited, I really do. But they gotta do something about Celestial and Hypogeon heroes and how inaccessible they are to everyone but the biggest whales. Such a bummer cuz AFK Arena is much more generous with its rewards all around.
Afk arena has been around for years, which means more content and more ways to get summons. Give it time and afk journey will be the same. But then people will complain about not being able to keep up with everything

yeah honestly. how can I care when it's going to take well over 3 months to get talene just to m+. how about the f2p players that already decided to focus on phraesto? they have no chance.
@@13_facesThe age of afk arena didn't affect that though. I played since launch and it was way more accessible from the get go. I was able to half arse keep up the cel/hypos there because they gave you way more summon tickets and you could pull with diamonds AND the game was more generous with diamonds from Day 1. Time won't help Journey, they just got even more greedy. That's all.
The second I saw the announcement I knew we'd get a reaction from volkin within the hour 😂
she looks absolutely stunning, but as some people already mentioned, it's hard to be hyped. needing three months+ to get a Cele/Hypo to M+ doesn't make them feel special to me, but more like a tedious task. i'm still two copies away from Reinier M+, and it would be stupid to stop now and switch to Talene. it's zero hype but 100% frustrating.

They are making it clear that this game will be for whales. And in my opinion that is just gonna kill the game...
@@Screcy for my Reinier, it's gonna be three months+, so was just referring to that. if we don't get Stargaze pulls from events etc, it's gonna be longer, absolutely.
this entire Cele/Hypo thing's getting annoying at this point. they will definitely lose (more) people over it

This is a gacha game, it’s meant to make you spend if you want all characters, at most you can clear all solo content f2p, that’s kinda it

Hey, that’s cool and all but I’m holding back my excitement until devs address the very obvious problem of super rapid celestials/hypo release with absolutely no better ways of getting stargazer pulls.
I mean, how can I get excited for a character that only 0.1% of the playerbase will enjoy while it’ll take me months to even snag one copy and even way more to actually build and enjoy the character……..

She looks super cool but we only just got phrestos added like 2 weeks ago, i will be very excited if she is the next rate up character before moving to being exclusive to stargazing
She might be hype for whales. But for 95% of us is just mehh. There is just no way we would be able to get her to at least to mythic+. So where is the hype?

@@Skritz4HOF I don't think there's a single "one copy viability" character for pve content, because even with amazing utility (like Smokey), having no stats and no extra skills is huge downside. Before I got extra copies of Smokey, Koko was far stronger in the same exact comps I was using, becaue her numbers were bigger.
And for pvp... We have a data for 5+ years already, that overwhelming majority of players don't care about pvp in gacha.

Can't get exited for a hero we cannot afford. Most games celebrate the summer and give you extremely nice rewards and events to catch up and relax, knowing its summer break. But this game just never fails to depress and demotivate you with their incessant greedy tactics.
I love how she saw all her past deaths and they all help her come back to life
Back in Arena I’ve always seen this character as a literal monster reborn with legs. The only unit I can think of to revive units for a fierce comeback in the game.

I can’t even get one copy of Pharesto, what hope do I have in trying to get Talene? Stellar Crystals are the most limited item to have, Stargazing just isn’t worth it. The only reliable way to get Talene is to use your Debit/Credit to buy this unit. Become a whale and buy the character.

Aesthetic design is nice. Loved her in AFK Arena but she got powercrept by the time I stopped playing if I remember right. Been playing since launch and I'm only one copy from getting Reinier to m+, so if I'm lucky maybe I'll get to use her by Christmas if I'm still playing.
She has a great design, hope they don't change the voice as I like that too, I just worry what she will do to the game if she's as good as people have been saying she is.
An idea for new releases is that they should do a 7 day login event, for new releases that makes it possible for people to get 1 free copy and some free pulls, so people have a chance to get excited for the new heroes. 1 copy wont do much for compared to the whales, so either way they will still profit, as it might entice people to actually spend some too, like if they did a premium road too on the 7 days login, that is like 10$ or something like that.
Loved the trailer, thats one area they excel at. Character looks amazing and basing of her afk arena abilities she looks super fun. Guess I'm gonna have to see if I want her or finish Reiner : (

A third of my guild quit the last 2 weeks. I can't get more ppl to the top guild of the server. I don't see how the game will survive the desert of content and the bizarre release of heroes

I do love the release of new heroes. But I just decided to cave and invest in Phraesto, because he was important to progress in afk stages. I got him at leg+ now and need 3 more copies of him to m+. so that is still a lot of work as a low spender. It is too difficult to get the celestial and hypogeans to mythic+ I have reinier at m+ and i have scarlitta at epic+ because i had started on her, but felt phraesto was more important for afk pushing.
when Talene came out in afk arena, she was the MOST OP agility support for 1 whole year until Awakened Talene (tank, mage with Healing when casting ult while doing damage to enemies)
Talene was meta for almost 3 years. She has existed since the game's release in 2019.
Daimon is still my favorite. Most broken character I remember seeing. Launched in 2020. Then we got the insane Lucretia. 2019-2020 was definitely the best time for arena. Oh AND you could pull for them easily too 😅

I don't even have my Reinier at M+ yet, I've been playing for about 66 days now, not F2P. I'll genuinely have to wait like 2 years before I get her even close to M+
Time to spend all my arena coins on the Stargazers now. Hope I’m lucky like I was with Reinier. And yes, they need to give out Stargazer pulls more often.

Its hard to hype again. If the hypogean and celestial heroes is hard to get. I even collect my guild coin for one specific heroes which is Reiner and its hard to resist myself to use it for other heroes too. Ive been keeping myself with the meta and even create my own meta and this stargazer income just so hard to get. FYI, im completely F2P player for this game.

I'm on the same boat, and I have reiner and dionel left on the free cele/hypo login. If I get dionel I will be malding like crazy
@betelguese8065 they need to address how the game completely stagnates once season content is over. We got till September! And I have zero way to earn summons in game that isn't one or two here and there on afk stages. My account has ground to a halt
And reiner is the LAST hypo/Cele on the all hero login for me lol. The very last. Game made sure the one I was working on was the last. Still got over a week till I get him

It looks awesome but with the state of the game being such a mess this just feels like a cash grab. I deleted the game off my phone last night I'm just tired of waiting for them to get it together. It needs to be more like AFK arena reward and event wise plus the game was taking up way to much space on my phone. Don't get me wrong I love the way some of the systems inside the game work they just really fumbled the ball when it comes to summoning and cool things to do. I mean even Hippo has quit and that's how you know you've really gone off the rails into a bad place.
Sadly wasted all my pulls on the myctic+ Reiner, and still stuck on mystic

Half the time when these kinds of games give lines to VAs, they don't tell them anything about pronunciation. It's happened before where they pronounce things completely incorrectly. I wouldn't take it too seriously and just continue to call her what the community already does which, in my opinion, is the true canon.
Yeah hard to get hype when I am 71 days in NEVER beat pity on Hypo/Celest pulls so still do not even have a M+ Reiner (both free pulls have been Berial and Dionel FML).

Glad you got your wish, but I'm not excited for her. Scarlita will counter her in pvp and she won't too meaningfully impact the top pushing strats. She's going to be incredible in SArena defense, at least, tho, for sure.

This. 1 free doesn't mean anything when the vast majority of f2p players are still trying to build a hypo that was in the game at the start! I still need 60k guild currency to m + my reiner. That's a long long time
What they need to do is to give more way to farm or steady income of stargazers, not just a one time giveaway. 7-9 months for one hypo/cele to M+ - S+ is insane.

Personally this new unit will kill the game. cmon they could have pushed her for august, game is doing soo little for us. literally everything is stale and idk why all CC are hyped for new unit when income of currency needed is mediocrity at best. @Volkin, There's a huge drama going on right now within the AFK Journey community, I would love to see your perspective of the issues. Such as:
Releasing new hypo/cele hero's to fast while even mid-spenders are still stuck getting their first or second hypo/cele hero to mythic+
Lack of good content and exciting events such as summer celebration for example.
I think its very important for big content creators such as you to call this out, because the developers simply do not adress those issues.
