Exactly how I feel rn! Only thing keeping me checking in on WuWa is Changli. But a level based action gacha to pair with HSR seems perfect rn. Day 1 PS5 launch is huge too
Same, but only in gacha games. At this point I don't want exploration in gacha, cause all there is are chests to open. That's just not worth the time and mobs in open world are weak. But something like Elden Ring I have no problem with.

Social awareness is knowing what the people around you are doing. While I think its quite on the nose as a saying, its applicable to the point being made. Pay attention to the enemy!

When he says choose he means randomly obtained at 40 rolls in the standard banner. You can only choose at 300 Pulls on the standard banner.
If you're dedicated enough you can choose whatever you want.

Anomaly is building up a status debuff of the corresponding attribute, which is applied when max stacks are achieved.
When an Agent deals Attribute damage, they inflict a certain amount of Anomaly Buildup. Once a certain level of buildup is reached, the enemy will be afflicted with an Attribute Anomaly debuff of the corresponding Attribute.
An agent's Attribute Mastery allows them to deal more damage with Atttribute Anomly effects.
Additionally, exploiting enemies' weakness to certain Attributes to trigger Attribute Anomaly will intensify the Anomaly effect.
Oh so it’s debuffs from Dark souls/Elden.
ahh, so its more like Honkai Impact's APHO/timeskip mode.
Raiden as initial dps generates stun and chain lighting, Adam causes gravity pressure, Bronya gets physical damage bonus, etc.
So sort of DOT from star rail?

Definitely the best of these I’ve seen. I play all the Hoyo games but I also have a history with fighting games, so your breakdowns of the combat in this game have been the most informative for me. It’s a good niche in this community, so I’m glad you’re here to do what you do

I think I'm most familiar with Rina since she plays almost similar to Aponia from HI3 with quick switch on field and off field value character
Rina was my girl in CBT2 and I'm hoping she comes home on July 4th. When I realized that I could switch and her puppets just continued to attack, it was over.
No matter who comes home though, I'm hyped AF for this game.

Re-Rolling on Ps5 with Hoyo games is annoying because it stuck to your PSN account. So I don’t wanna do that. Hopefully will get one of these. I wanna team with Range characters only. With Billy the Kid.

Super cool how you explained what switch tech is, while showing a clip of you completely not doing a switch tech
There was never a hybrid role for charactera like rina she was either anomoly or support and given that she always had the pen ratio buff she was most likely always a support that just had anomoly like elements to her that you needed to invest into. If im not mistaken she can only function like a pseudo anomoly unit because her dolls hit so fast and for a long time that just investing into that side of her gives her some of the pote tial damage that grace is able to provide just at a lower efficiency

I already know I'm gonna pull for Grace, but I wanted to support you by giving you the like and the view bro, keep up the good videos.
ZZZ is just a perfected HI3 to me. And HI3 is my personal HYV favorite. Yes, I know it's an older gacha. But HI3 is where my heart lies. So more excited for this than I was for HSR or GI.
Like Anomaly reminds me a lot of the way elemental build-ups worked in HI3. A lot of the combo-based characters remind me of Fu Hua's battlesuits. Rina's off-field capabilities are reminiscent of Aponia.
The punk aesthetic combined with the Jet Set Radio-like music helps a lot too
Lycan is about the only one I don't really vibe with so naturally I can't wait for him to be my first 5 star lmao! Rina would be my top choice, any of the others I still see as a W!

So glad you dropped another vid. I was searching up as much info as i could leading up to release n saw ur 'ZZZ has no combos' vid and that ish was amazing. Nobody dropping info like this. Plan on maining Nekomata and i learned a crap ton. I don't care if you make hour long vids. As a fighting/gacha enthusiast ZZZ has some amazing potential. Thank God finally a Gacha I can use my Fight stick on. I've been doing a lot of studying and theory crafting from videos I've been watching an your fighting game comparisons resonated well with me an now I've narrowed my choices between Neko,Grace,and Koleda. An even if I don't get them I understand team comps that can work well with certain characters. Can't wait to get into the lab.
Idk if it's short notice but can you do a video on the meter mechanics of the game and what each does. I know the in game tutorial will explain but it's a not as talked about aspect of the game and can give a lot of insight.

First time on your channel and I have to say out of a lot of CZcams's I watch, you are one of the few that EXPLAINS things. Never heard of you or the game but I'm very interested from your explanation.
While I'd REALLY want Lycaon since I'm getting Ellen and Soukaku, I'm honestly happy with all of these characters for the start of the game

Do people who play fighting games think they the only people on the planet who can press one button more slowly than other buttons? EVERY video for ZZZ is just fighting game players telling us how they fighting game players... Genshin players been doing dash cancels and rotations for years now, knowing when to press buttons and which team mates to switch to is something we do in our sleep.
That's great and all but that's not Iyo's point. ZZZ doesn't have rotations, elemental reactions, switching is more complicated affaris since tied to several mechanics that have resources, you build debuffs and elemental mage like in elden ring combat flow is far combat orientation with multiple characters hidden or unique baked in their kits beyond their initial specialization. None of this is to say Genshin is bad, but that ZZZ is fundamentally different from due to being more technical and having stronger potential for better skill expression. So you can't just transfers your skills for Genshin and assume the gameplay the same way.

As someone whos been getting more excited for the game especially recently and as a fgc brethren i cant wait. Out of all the standards i only want Grace and Rina, but wont mind Soldier 11 and Lycon. Dont want Neko or Koleda. Also new to your content and cant wait for ZZZ content and been loving your Star Rail content recently as well on the main!
Also this is all in premise on me skipping ellen and going all in on Zhu Yuan since shes my entire vibe as fgc kind of person. Her combos and mobility are my jam
Was gonna reroll cause i got koleda (2nd bottom on my want list) buttt then my next 10 pull on standard got me grace (3rd on my want list) so now im just gonna roll with whatever happens on my account tbh (great video btw)

Very good video! It‘s really informative and goes more deeper into the mechanics of each character.
I really like those comparisons to fighting games and its mechanics.
One suggestion: whenever you mention other fighting games, it would be cool if you put in a scene or video footage of that game inside the video, so the comparison is visualized and the similarities are more noticeable.

I just got Soldier 11 literally 5 minutes before watching this video on my 30th pull but technically 24th since it was discounted, she seems pretty fun I like her so far glad to know that she's a flexible unit

We gotta start using terms like (animation) cancels and other stuff. And start introducing Infil’s glossary.
I love fast characters, which is why most of the _HI3_ Part 2 characters gel so well for me. Coralie's the only slow one, and she was completely free, even to fully gear, so that's not a knock against her, even though she has an unskippable stagger animation at the end of her Ult. But every _HI3_ character has been fun to play with for a long time. Since _ZZZ_ takes _HI3_ combat and refines it, I'm very much looking forward to playing it. Only question is whether my potato laptop can handle it, or if I'm gonna end up playing it on my phone like _WuWa_ .
I don't know much about the game yet, but what I do know, is that I need Grace now.
Would it be wise to just pull 180 first then select the 5 star I need afterwards?

Hearing about ZZZ from the perspective of a fighting game player makes it sound way more fun than hearing from typical gacha players ngl. No disrespect to anyone but this game seems like a game where you'll have more fun trying to lab things out instead of just approaching it as a casual action game (tho there's nothing wrong with that). Great work, can't wait to see what content you have in store for the game.
Honestly I understood most if not all of what you were saying but all that fighting game tech talk, personally put me off and made it seem more complicated than I previously thought.
Obviously there's always a base level of play and a higher level of play included in almost every game. Either way I am still trying the game but you did steer me more towards Nekomata & Grace, maybe Coletta so thx for that.
