I'm new to this channel but to swap out the parts to the new case and show testing, that was awesome! Thanks for the video.
Thank you and I appreciate you watching.
Recently did a similar upgrade with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Dell Inspiron 5676. Except, also upgraded the motherboard and the power supply to provide an upgrade path to a Ryzen 3rd gen CPU (5800X3D or 5900X or 5950X) and a better AMD Radeon Graphics Card at a later date. When that happens, the old 2700X CPU, the old RX 580 GPU and memory goes back into the original case and it becomes a backup system.
That's an amazing upgrade. I love the 5800x3d I still use it in my main Rig it's pretty awesome for gaming and I also use it for video editing.
My PC comes with Ryzen 7 2700 & I upgraded the graphics to a Rtx 3060 last year. Now I can finally change the case 😅. Thank you for the video & the pc looks great!
Thanks, glad I could help.
Did you not have any problems with the mobo standoffs in the new case? I case swapped a dell and I had to install new standoffs for the board.
Yes, I did. The new PC case came with the standoffs in the ATX layout. I had to readjust them to the Micro-ATX layout.
7:25 oh did you not put new thermolpaste? hows the temps doing?
I did add a tiny bit of thermal paste, as the paste applied during the motherboard swap to the new case was still fresh.
Also, the temperatures are great. During the benchmark, the temperatures were between 43°C and 50°C.
