I thought season 3 was the start of the downfall. Focusing too much on made up characters and not enough on the real stuff that happened. If they would've sped up the timeline maybe we could of got to see the rise of al capone more and the death of AR and the castellammarese war
@@ericwright3798 you probably a jimmy darmudy fan bro it peaked season 3 gyp brought more juice to the show plus joe masseria and season 4 and 5 was more real then any other seasons
@@ericwright3798 Yeah, well that's not entirely their fault. They wanted more seasons to work with, but HBO pulled the plug prematurely, and they wanted to go to the end of the prohibition to finish it off, but instead of gradually going there, there was a time skip, and unfortunately, they skipped the years 1925-1930, which is where a lot of significant events of the Prohibition happened. Valentine's Day massacre, Rothstein's downfall, Remus killing is wife, Luciano's kidnappings, Atlantic City conference, you get the gist, but with what they had to work with, I don't think it was terrible. Just mediocre in my opinion.
@Maw0 Maybe I just more wanted a crime show about the rise of the mafia in New York and Chicago I guess. And I get it was incredibly expensive and not getting the ratings to justify it. Just seems like there's so much material that gets left out of the show that could have made it great.
My brother and I absolutely loved this show! When it aired every Sunday, we’d call each other and recap the episode- Gyp was on the top of the lists of characters we could not stand!!! He almost ruined the show for us- but omg he had us cracking up!! We’d loao 😂😂 When he called Nucky a “Pasty breadstick in a bow tie” we lost it 😂😂😂😂😂 and even more so when he called AR a “creepy DDS with either” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That shit was hilarious!! I feel certain that was improv lol 😂 considering he’s known to be a very funny person in general 😂😂😂😂
What's so stupid about season 3 is how well written Gyp was only for him to lose because Richard Harrow went John Wick on his crew. I love those John Wick movies but those are action movies, Boardwalk Empire is a serious drama, that scene was so dumb.

Crimally underrated show. Wish they got another season or two.
Yeah they did Rothstein's story arc super dirty.
it's not underrated at all dumbass
I love Buscemi, but they should have killed him off quicker. The show should have become about the rise and fall of the actual gangsters
What I like about Gyp is he's like the polar opposite of Nucky.
wow, very nice
Amazing edit ❤
this is so good!
This is 🔥🔥🔥

Great edit. What's the song?
New magic wand by Tyler the Creator
This show died with Jimmy, every character's arc went off a cliff and never recovered

AND I DON'T TAKE NOTHIN PERSONAL
Breadstick level edit
it's oil. what else?
Wtf is life if it’s not personal!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
To me, the "its nothing personal" makes it worse.
I adore Gyp
