Those detonators are often called "squibs" they are placed on the rails to assist in "Blind" backups when a rail car reaches the squib it goes BANG to let the engineer know when he should stop.
Not a detonator
Not really, even though squids are miniature explosion devices, they are mostly used in the movie industry and some construction sites, the word you are thinking of is Torpedo, which is what a railroad warning detonator is commonly called in North America.
Could. From. A. Shaft
@@patprop74 In the movies, "squibs" are placed underneath the actor's clothing, sometimes with a small bag of fake blood (with a shield between it and skin) and electrically fired, to simulate gunshot hits.
@@azmike3572 Thank you for informing me,
The most hilarious part of this video for me, was seeing that first police officer in realizing that I know him. This was a random video on my CZcams feed and I saw somebody I know.
CZcams knows🤣
I love how nonchalantly he says "we need your bomb squad"
This is so they don’t causes a panic
Sameee
@@cynthiablackthorn Yup. Basically polar opposite of what the officers who pulled over David Hahn had to deal with. These guys? Ehh, bring out some boom boom friends to pick these things up. David Hahn? They weren't sure if they needed a bomb squad or a military intervention.
He said “I need your bomb squad”
well its not the first time the encounter an explosive they did found some old mortar shells once i think
Fun fact: in many places in Germany magnet fishing isn’t allowed, because we still have a lot of bombs and grenades all over from the wars •_•
Yeah lol. I'm Dutch and i also know some people who have been metal detecting in the woods of Germany. They also digged up some bombs 😅😬
Oh wow for real!? I will have to be careful when I start over there 😳 I didn't even think of that
Shoundt started it
yeah there are many forests where are signs at the paths that warn you from leaving the path because of still undetonated bombs
History facts plus hitler send that bomb there
I'm keeping track of all the things he finds.

5 spikes in a row - you sank my battleship! :(
"This thing can explode" - drops it in bucket.
How’s it going Tyler? Thanks again for another great video!! I think the porcelain lined pot was probably more a chamber pot or a wash basin. Spittoon’s we’re mostly made from brass and even in civil war times they would carry personal spittoons made from tin. You never know what you’ll pull up!! Wow a railroad detonator!! Sounds dangerous and I’ve never found one of those!! I often collect railroad spikes to use in my welding projects. I make many different things from railroad spikes and other metal pieces from the railroad!! Thanks again! Take care, stay safe and healthy!!
Hey! Thank you for watching 😊
So much excitement finding garbage! What a positive bunch of guys. Good job cleaning up lads.
I worked for a class 5 railroad for 37 years and never saw anything like that. A “railroad detonator” aka “torpedo “ is a 2 in square 1/2 in deep explosive with lead straps to hold in place on the ball or head of the rail. It takes a rr car or locomotive to set it off or if you nuts a 16 lb sledge hammer. Train crews and track employees carry them all the time in flagging kits.
Yeah that looked way to big, no idea what they were though.
Hm
might have been older versions
The shovel is called a "sharp shooter", used for digging deep holes. We have one.
Thanks for sharing
Actually it's called a spade.
@@jeffmentzer9186 lol
Or a nursery spade; it's for planting trees.
All you wrong made for cleaning the tracks on a machine
@@adamkman9713 no dont think so
glad you guys called the Bomb Squard on what you got magnet fishing and some of your mud parking to find some things what a great video thanks for sharing
That “Instax” is an empty cartridge to a Polaroid type camera. It takes pictures and shoots them out just like the old Polaroid. Good score on the shovel, glad y’all got those detonators out of there. Could have gone really bad if a little kid would have hooked into one. Crazy the stuff one finds in the rivers.
I just got my magnet set. You were a big inspiration for me to get one! I’m going out tomorrow!! Thank you for all you do and never stop magnet fishing!
Awesome! Which magnet did you go with? 😊
I think I got a thousand pound
Also buying merch soon!!
This is my favorite fishing spot. This use to be a railroad bridge. When I was a kid, we use to pick plums and pears around here. Great memories
So that’s where my scooter went! 😄
A very good Sunday morning to you all in the USA from Wellington Somerset in the UK
Sounds like you guys have a blast every time you go out. No pun intended. I plan on making a trip out there this summer. Would it be OK if I look you up? Maybe we can go magnet fishing together. Or metal detecting. You sound like a kick in the pants to hang with. I live in Oregon. But my dad lives in Minnesota. Just a hop skip and a jump from where you’re at.
"So that could explode"
"Yeah"
Proceeds to pull stuff off of it!
goed video man
Our railroad explosives are called torpedoes. They are made by Olin, the same place that makes road flares. They are indeed strong enough to blow off a hand. However according to Olin once they are under water they become inert.! We used to use them for target prstice at shooting range where they would blow up with a large bang and a cloud of smoke.
11:20 you didnt find a speaker you found tony starks heart😂😂
I usually watch DALLMYD but I decided to watch someone new and its man is the most Canadian man I've ever seen its so wholesome♥
Bros got a crazy Canadian accent tho
Love watching you and your friends. The shovel is a garden spade.
My grandpa had a spittoon like that. He chewed redman tobacco. Later he used just a empty metal coffee can like thing to spit in. Getting myself teary eyed here. Great video Ty. See you next one.
That shovel was an awesome score. Gotta love it when you get usable tools. That's a good shovel for metal detecting.
Really cool of the officers being really cool and actually being fine with not just being filmed but actually explains the process of getting the bomb squad
Today is Easter so happy Easter!
Razor does some quality scooters. He got a working one out from the river.
Your a true Comedian!!🤣😂🤣😂
You're*
Dude your excitement is hilarious.
Loven it. Fun fun fun.
Im amazed that most things above ground are identifiable but about 90% of everything pulled out of the water is weird, obscure, and mysterious. WTF???
Ya P-Biz I know what you mean,
Like some of that stuff is over 100 years old the water is been there longer than that some of that stuff Mr. Fisher doesn't even know what it is because of his age some of us watching are over 50 and able to explain what those items are which is a lot of fun Like all magnet fishing together 😊
well that is rust, when things are underwater for so long they are more exposed to rust
That was an exciting time! Good job getting those and all that stuff out of the waters! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ (Minnesota)
Thank you for watching 🙏 ❤️
2:51 that big bit of steel is a piece sheet piling from when they would have done repairs on the pier/dock you're standing on.
They interlock holding the water at bay and keeping the interior somewhat dry for concrete to set and people to work.
That flip phone was definitely a burner
Every time you are with Clayton ... the police are called. Hahahaha💕, love ya Clayton. Great video as always 💕👵
Bro this is my first vid that ive seen of yours and bro you are so wholesome for no reason we need more people like you❤
Hey Ty my spike bike guy i always knew you were bomb 👍🙃. Some great finds buddy, and nice to see you happy in the sunshine 🌞. Be safe and happy handsome 👍💕👍
Very cool, my nephew found a world War 2 undetenated bomb in the creek behind his house, we called the police and they took it.!! So much fun magnet fishing. Thanks for the advebture.
Awesome video bro great time fishing with you and what a crazy day....
I want to come out one of these times with you. It's little Joey 😎😎😎
@@Mk5lyfstyle your always welcome hot me up
Lots of neat finds today. Can't wait to see what you find next time. Hopefully some cash money! 👍

@@lonnienickel2925 stop. typing. like. this. YOU CAN TYPE NORMALLY
Whoah!! Stay safe, dude!
11:58 It's also called a "torpedo"; they put them on the track to make loud bangs when a train runs over them, and alert the engineer to slow down for a hazard ahead :D
interseting finds, and the railraod stuff where cool ;)
and other stuff you found great video ;)
At 2:18 it’s a sheet support they vibrate them into the ground with an excavator and pour concrete to top it off after cutting excess off you got yourself an off cut it’s purpose is to stop the ground eroding and to support the ground behind it and they fit into each other and you make a wall they come at many lengths but usually about 20metres long/tall
Give new meaning to fishing, just walking in, using your hands, it was so funny to see! Some good finds too! Great job!
Love your videos Tyler 😍 I was looking through magnet fishing videos when I came across yours. Your enthusiasm is great and I could watch any video that you do. You are really entertaining and funny. Keep up the fantastic work. Xx
❤️ thank you!
Sounds like shaggy love it
Thank you for the exciting video.
Have fun and keep up the great magnet fishing.
2:22 what you found was called pz27. It used to block off water with other sheets like that to make a dry area to work
holy cow!
Love watching the treasures! Please wear safety gloves that prevents metal etc to cut you. 🌸 watching makes me want to get our family out on a picnic and magnet dive’ lol
NEVER HAVE I EVER FOUND AS LAUGHY AS ME
Great video! 🔥
awesome video guys!
Crazyyy video awesome job buddy 🤙🔥
Man, Oshkosh just keeps getting more and more exciting the further away I get from it. Much love from One Wisconsinite to another.
I like how he says alright guys
I love your videos
amazing what ya'll find when magnet fishing. sad when you find remains, weapons, explosives & have to call bomb squad & police. AMAZING what ya'll are finding
It's just an ordinary narrow shovel or garden spade, sometimes called a drain spade. Handy for all sorts of things when you need something narrow for like, ditches, trenches, post holes, planting, or whatever. I bought mine at Sears back when they were still a thing.
Surprisingly you made a lot of friends
Great Video Keep it up buddy wow :D
19:00 that case you found is a old cassette tape that has been hollowed out, just telling you if you don’t know!
Very nice adventure that one wass
Love watching him!
My husband and I watch your shows and we started magnet fishing in Hicksville Ohio you definitely make your videos worth watching
Great video- action , mystery and drama
Yeah Tyler that shovel is a score for someone to dig their plugs metal detecting! I’d love to have one like that! I have a metal detector and am hooked on that sport tho hard to find legal permissions to use it. That’s a definite advantage of magnet fishing as no laws I’ve seen against restrictions on areas unless private property.
Ah my home town, always interesting stuff.
First time on the channel already a good impression
This guy hearted comments as far as the eyes can see
❤️ 😊
I love how these guys get so exited about every catch
Can't WAIT to get my kit!!! I'm learning a lot watching your videos. BIG FAN HERE!
At least he's got a "Magnetic-Personality." 😆
Dude I see you in Wisconsin again and again. Cheers from the 920!
Never heard of the detonators before, crazy finds
Those railroad detonators aren't really that dangerous, Obviously, if it goes off in your hand or close to your face or body it's bad (duh!!!!), but other than that they are somewhat harmless they just make one hell of a noise. I've seen workers stand next to the track while they go off they don't have shrapnel so no injuries.
Wow, so glad you were safe.
Key words of this video.
Whoa, never seen this before, and look at that guys.
i love his enthusiasm
What magnetic weight limit do you normally use? 😊
BOOM
💥
That was a sweet spot for you guys!
Your always getting into something.🐎🌻✌️
19:01 that index thingy Mabob holds film and stuff for polaroid cameras
4:14 funny
1:55 is a cutoff section of sheet piling. Guessing by where it was found it likely was off a cofferdam used during the pedestrian bridge construction
The Shovel is a garden shovel people use it for metal detecting too :) I watch The Rusty Magnets video first and it was a big wonderful surprise when he said "We are with The Fisher" ...I love seeing my favorite Magnet Fishers' get together like this...AWESOME video!!
Yes love the content!!!
A 👍Big hello!
I love how he talks lmao
What a crazy day you had.
Another fun day out with a couple of boom boom, one of the guys in the U.K. magnet fishing groups found around 200 track explosives on a day out and a few more in the same place a trip earlier.
The instax mini film container brings back so many memories ! I still have my camera that used those
17:26 when he says "i wander if we can put her in some rice maybe" i did a face palm.
It would just make it worse
my brother and my dad looves doing that. and they found somthing big and i do not know what is was. and i love love love your vids.
That was a shoreline bank retainer to stop wash-outs
Pretty interesting places.
That is so cool
