This music video documents the relationship between Raymond "Red" Reddington and Dembe Zuma and was created in anticipation of the season 5 premiere, in the process spanning events from the previous four seasons of "The Blacklist". Moreover, this is my way of expressing appreciation as well as thanks to James Spader and Hisham Tawfiq respectively for their dedication and contributions in bringing the characters Red and Dembe to life.

I love how Dembe is the strong silent type, but he is waaay wiser than anyone in the show. Their relationship is so perfect, I love how Dembe represents Red's conscience and morals. I also love the lighter moments too, somehow I feel like the Highlights magazine scene and the mini golf scenes were the actors messing around with each other.
I agree with every point, Sarah! Dembe is wise beyond his years, and it's important to listen whenever he speaks. I've always perceived his and Red's relationship as the show's most profound and defining as it's through their interactions that we as the audience learn more about Red, the man beneath the armor. It's especially nice knowing that the dynamic we see on-screen extends off-camera as well, and I look forward to seeing what season 6 has to offer where they are concerned.
Monique Martin I binge watched the whole show in just a few weeks, and now I don’t know what to do! I absolutely cannot wait for season 6!!

What a deep honest bond
I've always regarded Red and Dembe's relationship as the show's most compelling in that it's ultimately through their interactions that we as the audience become more informed about Red - specifically, the man beneath the armor of perfectly tailored three piece suits and fedoras.
Really moving and intense video, Monique. Red's and Dembe's friendship sure is special, and strong. I really like watching videos about them. The part from 1:00 to 1:40 was my favorite. So exciting! Great choice of music too. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! I've always regarded Red and Dembe's relationshp the most compelling, and as a result videos where I've focused on their journey are ultimately the ones I enjoy best. I'd love to continue creating more as the show continues, but in light of certain "fans" finding it appropriate to take others' contributions as their own I doubt that will happen. It sucks both for me and especially those who are subscribed to my channel, but for now that's the only decision I can come to since the platform administrators continue to do nothing.

As for Dembe's leaving and its presentation to us as an option, that's in large part because Red as a character feels unworthy of such commitment or affection, and while he is very much fully appreciative and doesn't at all take Dembe's love and support for granted part of his defense mechanism is to keep a distance or push people away if doing so translates into protecting him/her. Losing Dembe would kill Red, and vice versa which is one factor that
makes this particular relationship the most compelling on the show. On the flip side, there's Dembe's perspective to consider, and he has been unequivocal and made it quite clear that he isn't going anywhere. He loves Red and knows him best.

I've always found Red and Dembe's relationship to be the most compelling, and that's a reflection of both the material and what James and Hisham respectively bring to the table - their understanding of the characters and overall dedication to the craft. The respect between them on and off camera shows, and I had a blast working on this video.
