I do this when I make beats. 🤣 It's actually a very effective way of figuring out which rappers styles could potentially work on it. You don't need actual words. You just need to know the types of rhythms they tend to use a lot when they rap. You should see the weird looks I get from my girl when I do it. Funny thing is I can actually rap if I actually sit down and take the time to write. I just don't particularly enjoy rapping myself unless it's someone else's song that I have memorized. I enjoy making beats way more than writing lyrics and recording them. It's just too time consuming to do everything yourself so I just do what I like most, which is making instrumentals. I think I only recorded like 2 full songs since I started making music again and they both sucked, but they had meaning do me so I did it. That being said, wome if those first beats I made sucked. Many of them still do. But the funny thing is every time I sell or lease an instrumental they always tend to be some of the instrumentals I'm least impressed with, which I find odd. But I guess it's all a musical taste thing. Which is subjective even when it comes to your own music. I just roll with it and let the cards fall where they may. I'm by no means an expert. I just have fun with it. If people like it, great. If some don't, I really don't care. You never know what someone will catch a vibe to.
