    We are going to have a massive problem if you don't do the other operators, as well!! Very very good video.

    Hoping you do the same thing with Southern. A bit more complex maybe. :)

    SWR maybe? A bit more complicated but it gives a challenge! We MUST have more of these!

      To be fair, C2 is about as simple as a train company can get. Even the DLR is more complex.

    Me and my wife are both disabled wheelchair-bound and once at C2C station at Southend they didn't want to help us. We have never gone to Southend since that again.

    The Class 720/6 Aventra 5-Car will mainly operate on Fenchurch Street (and Liverpool Street)-Shoeburyness, Southend Central, Basildon, Laindon and Leigh-on-Sea. And may also go via Ockendon at peak times. As the Class 720/6 are replacing the Class 387/3.
    And the Class 357s to be retained and the Class 357/3 to mainly operate between Fenchurch St-Grays via Rainham. And Fenchurch St-Southend Central/Shoeburyness via Ockendon at peak times. As they have metro seats on them.
    And yes with Beam Park railway station to be built and Purfleet railway station to be relocated and rebuilt. Also Stanford-le-Hope railway station has been rebuilt with a new footbridge+lifts.

    • @generalgrievous5615
      @generalgrievous5615 Před 2 lety +1

      Stanford-le-Hope hasn't been rebuilt fully yet, the only progress being the original station building being knocked down, which happened 3 year ago, and no further developments

    The pain of editing when this guy reaches Northern since they operate the most routes, trains, stations and depots than any other TOC in the country. I think the franchise for Northern would have been better if it was Transpennine Express as a franchise, a franchise for the North West and then a franchise for the North East and Yorkshire as well as the few services that cross the border into Carlisle, Manchester, Wigan, Chester and Blackpool.

    0:45 - There's something funny about your maths there ... a journey of 39 miles that takes 60 minutes has an average speed of 39mph!
    Or do you mean a typical cruising speed of 65mph?

    Looking at the size of this Franchise it feels like it should be part of Greater Anglia and not Standalone especially compared to Franchises like Northern

    Here's to hoping C2C's timeliness is better than Trenitalia's here in Italy, though that's arguably a pretty low bar... :-D

    • @lp-qf4yu
      @lp-qf4yu Před 2 lety +1

      How bad is trenitalia?

    • @vasen-vasen
      @vasen-vasen Před 2 lety +4

      c2c is one of the best TOC in the UK, i believe having 90%+ timeliness (iirc). its able to achieve this due to it really not intersecting with any other rail operators on its core routes,, unlike say southern who intersect with 4 - 5 different rail companies and has one of the worst reputations as a TOC.

    • @marcodamasio
      @marcodamasio Před 2 lety +1

      @@vasen-vasen that's kinda ironic considering how Trenitalia is considered one of the worst Italian TOC. Actually there's really no competition on the local, regional scale, since it's just Trenitalia and its affiliates.

    • @vasen-vasen
      @vasen-vasen Před 2 lety +1

      @@marcodamasio well the HSR is pretty good right?
      but c2c lucks into many of its qualities that allow it to be time effective so i wouldnt say its trenitalia making the difference here, its just the mess after privatisation has made being on-time quite hard when you're usually sharing tracks with a few other private operators, which c2c mostly avoids due to its secluded nature.

      @TheGreatRailways - we all remember how punctual the great nationalised British Rail were, plus they had crap rolling stock as well to sit in while you were late. The only exception on decent rolling stock was the HST, which being 40 yrs old & diesel is rightfully now defunct to make transport more environmentally sustainable.
