I go to areas that I know are popular both with shop n pay and restaurants and have places that I can sit and charge my e-bike battery and refuel myself. I do uber eats on my bike so I also have to take the weather in consideration. I pick my orders based upon how much battery charge I have, and the location (I tend not to go to certain neighborhoods due to risk of crimes ie gun violence as a bike doesn't have the protection of a car.), I do try to help people as much as I can in underserved neighborhoods though as much as i'm able. Thanks for the video! maybe if anyone else that does uber eats on a bike has any suggestions/tips please let me know especially in more suburban areas.
Over 10 per trip even if it is 8-10 miles is better than 2 a mile. With shorter runs. But going to an area you can pick up right away is the best thing that taking a Mn ok run and you have to come back with out anything to the same spot.

It’s usually an order that took a long time and the previous driver gave up waiting for it and UE needs to get it delivered at any cost. Happens a lot in Chicago market.

LOL I wish those payout examples you gave were reality for where I live (metro Detroit). I would love tips for those who don’t live in major cities. I’ve been trying to come up with modified versions of your strategies, but have not been successful (averaging 16 per hour).
Hey Mike, great video. Wondering if you or someone can answer this question. Some delivery drivers say do not give the receipt to customers when delivering their order, as it will confuse them. My concern is if i remove the receipt and don't give it to them, they may ask for it, or i may not get any tips if they had wanted it. What is your say on this?
We don't have that here @_@ we get guaranteed hourly wages based on if you get at least 1 or sometimes 1.5 trips per hour, lolz. Ive never seen surge pay like that O_O
Is the reason why I can't see surge prices because of my marketplace or is it because of the fact that I use Android? All I get is a little "up arrow" indicator, from nearly white to a dark blue green with an area filled in with that color.

I'm in a small town (5k population) anything past 3.5+ miles away = nothing to dash back from. UE gives me 5-6 offers a day. I accept maybe 1 or 2 as most are 6+ miles at $1 mile. Tip baited once. I will say UE tips are $3-4 higher than DD. Even those within 3-4 miles. Not sure why. Total 150 deliveries under my belt in 5 full weeks as a new driver.
I think Uber eats tips are higher because they suggest what the tip should be to the customer. Door dash just leaves it up to them . I do Uber eats and my son does Dior dash in the same small town and he gets terrible offers usually 1.00 a mile with tip included and I average 6/ mile on Uber eats!
"added to make every delivery worthwhile" Is that why Uber has been trying to give me TRIPLE back to back Asda orders from another town thats 5 miles away from me, for just $4?
Okay what am I doing wrong the only thing I get when I accept the order is how far to the restaurant there is no how far away the customer is until I get to the restaurant so you don't know
I work in SoCal and I never get surge pay or quests. I've tried accepting only +$10 orders and I ended up not making any more money for the day. I don't like how people are saying that this isn't viable anymore and that we have no choice but to get a w-2 job, in which you lose the freedom and flexibility you have with Uber Eats and the like. I worked in a w-2 before... it sucked! I'd rather kill myself than have to go back to that kind of employment just to survive. I really hope it doesn't eventually come to that.

Is your $1.75 goal include hybrids or full electric vehicles? Sometimes I look at the pay per hour goal because I drive a hybrid and in San Diego the deliveries get stretched out.
I also adjust since I'm in a PHEV. So far my best milage day in the city was over 100mpg and during dead times there is a free charger I can use that is near a pack of restaurants to pick up a few free miles of driving in EV mode. I concentrate more on per hour since my cost of fuel is only about 3 or 4 cents a mile. Depreciation and wear and tear are still about the same though.
@@foreplay24 That's very similar to what I get when in Hybrid mode when my battery is low or when I go on the highway I switch to that to save my battery for stop-go in the city. The only reason my milage works out the way it does is I rarely go more than about 80-100miles a day since I go part time and only a few hours at a time so I can charge in between which means I can be in EV mode and use no gas for 20 to 30-ish miles each time I go out. In fact, that's one of the reasons I started doing deliveries since I figured with the way the car works it would be easier to make money not having to worry so much about gas. Mileage depreciation is a pretty big issue since it's a fairly new car though... So that may end up coming back to bite me in the end.

I find that to be the case sometimes however, 90% of the time they only show up to eight dollars still in my area. Generally, if it’s at 10.50 or above I can look at the distance and determine if it’s the eight dollar limit which is always a good thing because it might be more.
I have a question I have always wondered why uber drivers get to do all of the quests and the ubereat drivers don't I think it's unfair they have just pushed out uber connect in my area what do you think about this new feature
They probably need drivers more than delivery drivers right now. Quests are usually incentives for people to get out and drive or for new drivers to hop on. I don’t really see it as unfair as I generally don’t have to deal with stuff that people who taxi people do.

Why would any gig driver ever do UberEats. You have a company purposely not disclosing what they will actually pay with for the trip. Instead, they add what they decide the tip may be and essentially manipulate the driver with a number they can manipulate any time for any reason. Noting is as infuriating as getting the final amount for an UberEats delivery only to find that it is 20% to 30% less than what you accepted. This is one of the most blatant forms of corporate manipulation I have ever seen. The only way to stop such manipulation is to opt out of it.
Can you give me an example? I've almost never had an instance where my pay was lower than advertised. Only once where I (unfortunately) pissed off someone cause the restaurant took so long so they docked my tip. Customers are allowed to edit the tips up to one hour after delivery perhaps that's what your seeing?

I don't even bother with Uber Eats in my area anymore I have only recently started trying to use them but every single request I have gotten from them has been something absurd like 3 dollars for 7 miles or 6 dollars for 18 miles.

I start in the morning and work until 1 or2 and go out at 4 for another hour but I don't do dinner service because I can't see well at night and my anxiety but can still clear 100 in that time without doing dinner service

Uber has changed quite a lot over the 2 years I've done it. I used to have quest and surge pay up to like $6 all the time in the Portland Oregon area. But now we never get Surge pay and I haven't seen a quest in over a year. Portland alone has like 650,000 people and the metro area has over 2.5 million. Do you think it's just location based and not population based?

Ayee I just started yesterday for the first time in portland haha
I am wondering if it's driver saturation in the area. That's what has happened in areas of Richmond VA. More drivers here so incentives are evaporating and all those big stacked orders r drying up now:/
First day on UberEats. Chicago suburbs at lunch. I have a 19% acceptance rate. I saw a ton of $2 deliveries today when it was sleeting snow with 15mph winds, lol!! I am wondering, even with only package & food deliveries checked is the app showing surge (red) areas for rideshare or is that for what we have selected in the app...?

I never get surge pay :( Just quests from time to time. Last night was absolutely garbage. 3 hours online and made $14. Had a total of ONE good order and the rest were $2, to $4 orders for high miles. Actually triggered me a bit. Was like 25 orders back to back of straight garbage dollars to miles. I sure hope it gets better.
5:50 to 6:10 yeah i NEVER see this...surge pay deal in my areas of central Mississippi. Been deliverying uber eats foe 31 days now
YES! UberEats orders disappear sooooo fast! 😱😳🤯 You barely have time to read it and then it’s gone!
Yeah I used to see things like that when I first started. But ever since the california prop 22 passed I don’t see any additional bonuses or quests. At all.
Is there a way to see how many drivers are in your area in real time?
Not entirely but if you ever have a order pop up on your trip radar. You can see how many other people are viewing it at the same time up in the right hand corner.
Question can someone answer why.. I did a Uber eats delivery for $16 for 2 miles I figured it would be a tip bate right well NO Uber paid me $15 and tip was only $1 why this is 2 times now this has happened.. why they paying me so much for hardly no food and short miles can you answer maybe ur thought
It’s usually an order that took a long time and the previous driver gave up waiting for it and UE needs to get it delivered at any cost. Happens a lot in Chicago market.
Thank you Mike I’m hoping for more updates on Uber content😊

thnx for the great Vids..can you tell me how to pause orders like you can in DoorDash?
LOL I wish those payout examples you gave were reality for where I live (metro Detroit). I would say about 85-90% of orders would be rejected following these rules, thus spending the majority of time waiting for profitable orders to come in. I would love tips for those who don’t live in major cities. I’ve been trying to come up with modified versions of your strategies, but have not been successful (averaging 16 per hour).
minus taxes, gas, and vehicle wear. it's just not viable is it?
Hey Mike, great video. Wondering if you or someone can answer this question. Some delivery drivers say do not give the receipt to customers when delivering their order, as it will confuse them. My concern is if i remove the receipt and don't give it to them, they may ask for it, or i may not get any tips if they had wanted it. What is your say on this?
I’m trying to figure when have stock orders. One customer reduced tip how you know which customer removed tip
Can you do a video about Uber eat by deliveries and how we can get more orders
They don't do quest in Seattle for some reason.
It’s most likely your market.

$1.75 & 25/H before fuel/maintenance costs or after? Thanks for the video bud.
What is a good dollar to time ratio?
Which old version of the app shows full payout on Android
I never received the extra 5 dollars for making more than 3 orders during the quest pay hours and I did 6 deliveries

25$ an hour? Consistently? I have never ever come close to that. If ur making 15 an hour before gas your doing well
Is your $1.75 goal include hybrids or full electric vehicles? Sometimes I look at the pay per hour goal because I drive a hybrid and in San Diego the deliveries get stretched out.
I also adjust since I'm in a PHEV. So far my best milage day in the city was over 100mpg and during dead times there is a free charger I can use that is near a pack of restaurants to pick up a few free miles of driving in EV mode. I concentrate more on per hour since my cost of fuel is only about 3 or 4 cents a mile. Depreciation and wear and tear are still about the same though.
@@Snerdles I'm averaging 48mpg in a hybrid. So 100 mile days I'm only using up 2-3 gallons for $200 of earnings.

Uber is now more transparent on the tip. Now they show up to 18.00 instead of 8.00 tip
I find that to be the case sometimes however, 90% of the time they only show up to eight dollars still in my area. Generally, if it’s at 10.50 or above I can look at the distance and determine if it’s the eight dollar limit which is always a good thing because it might be more.
Not in my area. One has to be a gambling man to do uber here. All they ever show is 2 or 3 dollars thats why I quit uber and do DD
1.75$ per mile including tip?
I am average 20 per hr. But in AUS no tips
I live out in the desert. I just look for orders in my orders 😭
