- Tonight I'm doing a review / comparison of the Acebeam EC35 Gen II from Killzone Flashlights. This modded edition comes with the NICHIA 219c emitter in lieu of the stock Samsung emitter. It's a much warmer tint and the throw is fantastic. I compare this to the Olight M1X Striker (also a 1000 lumen light but much cooler temperature) and also the ThruNite TN12 v4 makes an appearance. Here's a link to the EC35 on Killzone Flashlights website (this is not a sponsored link). They also have an SST20 version available if you'd like to go even a little warmer.

Thanks for the great review! It really seems to be a great all-around light. Only downside of most of the USB C lights is that they aren't complying with PD (power delivery) standard, so many USB C power supplies will NOT shake hands with these flashlights. Kind of a dumb bummer missing a few cents of small IC components, a missed opportunity.
It's relevant to point out that LH351D exists in neutral white (and high-CRI), and it's actually more common to see it that way in flashlights than the 6500K low-CRI that Acebeam uses. Sofirn, Wurkkos and Zebralight use nicer LH351Ds.
Good to know! I did not know that. Lol. Thanks!
The thrunite looked damn solid. I may have to go that route. thank you for the show and tell bud
Just ordered the SST version yesterday. Excited about having the separate use from the tail switch to the side. I foresee it doubling as a EDC light and a light I train with for firearm use.
I have the AC35 Il and luv it then my buddy who’s a police officer turned me on to a torch with little less frills but one third the price, with a tail cap and side button, tail cap with memory, set it how you want it to turn on from firefly all the way up to turbo, you choose, it’s made by wowtac A1S 1150 lumens...wish I had seen this one first, for the money you can’t beat it
What does ordering from killzone do? Sorry I’m new to the flash light world and looking for one for my job, which is Corrections and this light was recommended to me from reddit.
Flashlights have different types of emitters (basically the LED in the flashlight) that produces a different light warmth. Think cool blue white vs. Normal yellow(ish) flashlights. Killzone had a deal with Acebeam and they are only producing and selling that emitter kind through that web site. So if you don't care about SUPER white vs a more natural color then you can buy it from wherever you'd like. Also just as a note my buddy is a local police officer and this light has been come his duty carry light. Loves it.
@@josephchandler2302 You forgot about CRI.
@@shadowmaster8020 what is cri
@@NeoJam CRI means colour rendering index. It's how well the light can produce colours like the sun can. 90 + CRI is really good, 80 CRI is bad and 70 CRI is also bad.
14:01 Dude, do you have a bunker, or what is going on with the ventilation in the yard?
It's a storm shelter.. Not quite a bunker. I wish! 😂
@@josephchandler2302 Nice cover for the bunker under the storm shelter.
can it tailstand
and does it have a sub lumen firefly mode?
