Oil changes are your friend. I just rolled over 238K. I run Mobil 1 extended performance 5w30 and a Fram ultra guard filter every 4000 miles. Fresh/clean oil is important to keep the lifters cleaned out amongst lots of other parts of the engine. Youre probably already aware of these things and thanks for watching!

I bought mine with 214,000 miles on it. I feel crazy 🤪 for buying it but I really love the truck. I just got the mechanic to run flush through it and change the oil. Because low oil pressure light came on. It runs good now but I may need a tune up.

@@remopiccioni9456 Yea just keep an eye on the oil level and do regular changes. I dont let my oil change meter get below 50%. Run good full synthetic and it should keep it cleaned out. Make sure you have the new valve cover intalled also- there was a TSB about it because the built in PVC valve would get clogged leading to all kinds of issues like burning oil/running rough etc. I switched out mine with a Dorman brand years ago in the driveway. It was an easy swap out. The new cover had baffles to keep oil from clogging the valve if I remember correctly. Good luck!

I would agree for this year/model. GM recommends 5w-30.

I have not had issues with AFM personally. I do 4k miles oil changes.
