I'm 76, live in the Ozarks now, and knowing the Lord and being in His creation is a wonderful thing. The freedom we have in America and the little it takes to be content ,if you're positive and creative and frugal, anyone can be independent and happy. Awesome! I just got a 2001 Fleetwood Jamboree 24D. it only has 6K miles, but needs a plethora of interior work and a roof repair. But it was free from a family member. Otherwise we'd never afford buying one out right in today's market.

I remodeled a 24 ft Class C RV and know how much work it is. Great job. As a single woman I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I had never even camped before. Took out the dinette and put in a purple couch. Wallpapered, painted, new flooring, backup camera, glass tile backsplash, made all window treatments and installed roller shades, divider curtains, etc. Helps to have two people to figure stuff out and support each other. You are very lucky.

Class C only way to go
We really, REALLY LOVE our old truck camper. But our mobile office (Class C) is a beautiful and functional RV in her own respects. We’ll downsize again later but for now we love our new home!
Like your DIY dry toilet, I never want a blank tank either! Your art piece in the bathroom is amazing. I can see why you chose that one. Hope you are both still out there with your pup dogs. Thank you for being an inspiration to all your viewers.

Keep planning and working toward the goal. It has not been easy for us in our personal financial situation but we live the road and have managed to make it work for 6 years, traveling where we want and stopping to work when we need to. You’ve got this!

I can understand the need to NATURALLY control your CROHNS, I was diagnosed in 2003 but today I am free of ALL symptoms, all I had to do was give up caffeine, alcohol and fats. It feels GREAT to be pain free!
That's great news! It's crazy how Crohn's impacts everyone differently and that so many people are finding ways to treat themselves differently and with success. We've tried so many different combinations of things to include/give up and right now we're in a sweet spot where we hope Lindsay will stay indefinitely! Thanks for watching and reaching out!

It's a great use of space if you don't need the bed! And if you don't make it too complicated you can convert it back if a potential buyer wants the bed space back when it comes time to sell. Thanks for watching!

In March of 2022, we bought the identical 1999 Class C RV. It is all original, and we cannot wait to do some renovations. We have camped 4 times so far, and have learned a lot. I love what you guys have done with yours. Looks great! Thanks for this video.

Your 'modernization' of the 1999 Class C is inspiring. Made it definitely more comfy and cured the old 'design' flaws. Plus the overhead redo into your entertainment/standing desk is totally innovative. Not having your battery storage/electronics (for your solar system) under your sleeping berth is so intelligent and healthy! This is great. The white really lightens the camper up. I hate the dark wood they use on new camper's. Being in a small space the manufactures need to lighten up these campers. Awesome job guys!
Most manufacturers don't intend for RV owners to live in them full-time so they don't really take aesthetics into consideration. We would never buy a new RV and then immediately remodel the way we have (we actually will likely never buy a new RV, for that matter!). But you're absolutely right about brightening up the living space! So much more comfortable for us!

Everything from the "nuts and bolts" decisions, to the aesthetic design, were obviously carefully planned...with every detail covered. I have been looking into RV renovation for almost 3 years and have watched plenty of videos and this is by far my favorite renovation. You did a great job! Everything is well thought out and practical for full-time living (with dogs) which is something that we’re looking to do later this year.

Love the remodel. I am working on a 29 foot 1995 Fleetwood Tioga. It is taking a long time due to limited funds but I hope to be done this winter.

I spotted so many of the things in IKEA yesterday when I was there that everyone keeps showing in their videos. They are so fun!! I love your decor!!
IKEA is made for tiny living. Not all IKEA ideas work out. But we definitely leaned on their expertise and products to a large degree, especially since we had access to a store! It would have been hard to plan the remodel if we could not visit the store with a tape measure (multiple times) to plan the perfect fit!

Your dogs are so blessed! They're not only going to so many amazing places, but also they're sleeping with you. I've seen some people who's living in the tiny house even let their children having a cramped space of bedroom (like on the small loft, etc.). So happy to see both of you have the same mindset with me. If i have a decent bedroom, then my dog (and maybe my future kid) _must_ have the same comfort place to sleep like me.

You could possibly make a push-open door above the trash for putting small stuff in the trash. One handed operation.
I took the little panel out and re-made it with heavier material and added spring hinges so I could push it open but it wouldn't swing with movement.
Great idea. We'll see if there's a way to adapt our setup!

I also like the idea of your own bathroom bathroom that you created. I've been learning over time that it's the difference between. Don't let the solids mix withth liquids and then you're fine. Even if you dump it out in the middle of the desert, like since animals go there, just dig a hole. And still put the liquids in solids into different places. Essentially urine is bacteria free. It's more pure than people realize. It's the number two you have to worry about.

Wow... I just bought the same RV that you guys have 2 days ago. 1999 Thor Chateau. i love it. I'm also going to redo the inside. I just lost my husband to cancer on Feb 8th. We had both planned on selling our property and 100 year old home on it and live in an RV and travel. We have 6 cats and I had plans on a tunnel for them out one of the windows and it goes out to a zippered screened tent so they can be outside but safe. Well.. I'm going to do this anyway. My husband would want me too. This property here is too much for just me to take care of. This is so great to see what you've done in this RV. Exactly like mine. Mine is a 28' one. My back storage area goes all the way through from one side to the other. So maybe you have a longer one? I think so. Travel safe. I'm in WA state. I got a great deal on this RV. it has only 32,380 miles on it. The generator only has 437 hours on it. Everything looks brand new inside. No cupboards look like they have been used. I used to drive charter buses and school buses for my career. So it's fun to be back in a large vehicle. I would like to see how you put your awning out. I was out there today trying to figure out how to set up the awning. I see you have a Cheyenne model RV. Mine is a Chateau.
Thanks for watching and reaching out. Awnings operate in a variety of ways. We don’t have any specific videos on that. But usually there’s a clip on the top of the awning you have to switch to pull out, another clip on the side of each arm to release the arms, a round handle that twists to unlock and then you pull the awning out by gripping a cord that hangs from the top of the awning. From there you’d release the legs from the side of the RV and then lock the awning in place. Harder to write than to show- we’ll aim to do a video shortly.
