Nice to see someone actually working on one of these. Hardly anything out there let alone making some custom parts. Has to be way cheaper than the aftermarket kits.

Thought i would watch this because my Brother's next car might be this. Knowing him he is gonna full straight pipe it (as he has already straight piped his B8 S4). Also the reason I am mentioning my brother is because i am 12 and have no license
Hey B! I thought I heard you mention you put some sound deadening the trunk, but couldn't find the spot in the video. Did you do this and if so, what did you use and where did you place it in the trunk. I know you just got the S8 and am anxious to see what you are going to do with that. For my S8, pretty sure this spring I'm going to delete the front resonators, suitcase and rear boxes, thus my question on the trunk sound deadening. Want to avoid any drone if possible.

I'd really love your feedback on the drone factor of doing this. Your car sounds amazing! I am looking to upgrade my exhaust for a to a better sounds traxk. I have a stage 3 2013 S6 with APR catless DPs bolted to stock exhaust. Any info would be very helpful
Dewey Garbett thanks! If you check out some of the videos of my previous stage 3 dark blue s6 it’ll give you a slight idea of what different setups sound like. That car also had the APR catted dp’s with stock catback. I the cut out the center res and put in a x pipe, it sounded good but was still pretty quiet. The white S6 does have the trunk lined with sound deadening material so I’m sure that also help with the cabin drone.
Do a s85 vanos pump diy with the oil line and pump itself

I put a milltek non-res on mine and it was very very loud, so this must be insane. I ended up getting rear back boxes put on as it was too loud inside the car for long journeys. It is far better now.
Hi Phil I have the same problem too. Does your car vibrate or rattle badly inside the car too? (2013 S6 - Decat downpipes, X pipe, muffler removed, Unitronic Stage2+)
自由人 It was more drone, but with slight vibration I was getting. The exhaust I have is Milltek Cat Back SSXAU372. It sounded amazing from outside the car just not good inside. Since getting rear back boxes(mufflers) installed this has sorted the cabin noise out. (2014 S6- Milltek exhaust, RS6 airbox with pipercross filter, Stage 1)
@@dutchschaefer5787 Thanks for your reply. Look like we are having the same exhaust set up. (AWE Track Edition Exhaust) Think I will get the boxes back to kill the noise!! 😅 The vibration might due to the ECU I used. Will reinstall back to stock ECU to see whether it's the cause.
自由人 Yes they are very similar exhausts. Adding The back boxes definitely made a difference. It’s still quite loud but a lot quieter inside the car

What percent tint was on the side windows, rear window, and front window? Just got my 2018 S6 and wanna do the same tint look.
Prolly 5 percent sides and back and 30 on winshield but watch the winshield tint that shit is asking for a ticket
What sport diff code did you get?
Hallo if the car is modified as if you were driving it .. is there a risk that the car will break down or black smoke will come out?
Black smoke could mean you’re running rich, my corvette runs rich so when I get on it a little bit of black smoke kinda pops out
I had the same symptoms with the Sports Differential on my S8. The error light was intermittent and over time just came on every time I drove it. The car was throwing a code for "steering angle sensor" also. I got the car aligned and cleared the codes, and the Sports Diff light has never come back on (6+ months ago). Something to check on your S6. Might be an easy fix like mine.
Just went catless with a borla non res exhaust. The videos don’t do it justice. It’s extremely loud and intoxicating. Sounds amazing, but be warned for anyone planning on it and haven’t heard it in person it’s stupid loud. RIP neighbors

S6 is TT 4.0 V8, A6 is 3.0 Supercharged V6
