The idea of rolling it back on the spool of tape was amazing. Tks Good video
This is fantastic!! You can use the white second sheets of napkin to stamp on and create your own designs!!!
Thanx for sharing your ideas with us!!
✌🏼🧡
Yes totally! I’ve also used the second sheet to print on as well. It works perfect for making your own découpage paper!
What an amazing idea! I was in the Dollar Store yesterday and came across the prettiest napkin, picked it up, but didn’t know what to do with it besides decoupage, and I’ve done that so many times, I put it back. Now I’m thinking I’m going to go back and get as many napkins I can find and make my own washi tape like you taught us. Thanks so much for the inspiration!❤
I love your voice on the video it is so calming. I love this idea. I am a new subscriber to your channel.😁
Aww thank you so much! And welcome! I do lots of tutorials on this channel, I hope you find them helpful or interesting. Thank you for being here!
Thank you for sharing your process imon how to make washi tape with napkins! I'll definitely give it a try. I've been wanting to make some but with fabric lace. I'm going to give it a try using napkins and fabric lace. GOD Bless
Awesome! I hope you got to give it a try! Lace would be beautiful!
Just found your channel and subscribed to you! 😊
Hi I came over from paper Terrace, I’m going to be discovering your videos etc, I love binge watching, the washi looks very pretty, and of course useful. Thank you xx😁❤️
Awww thank you so much!!! I hope you find some of my videos helpful!
What a cool idea!!
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Really relaxing to watch. Beautiful napkins and this project is so much fun! Thank you for this well done video.
That's a great idea, so easy and beautiful tape.
Thank you.

@@PaperTerrace awww thank you so much!!! 🙏🤍😊 That sounds like such a fun video!! I’ve been loving your content lately! 😊
What a wonderful, idea. Thank you for the video and for the double sided tape link!
This is super exciting! Thanks much!
Thank you so much! I hope it gives us all more options if we can’t find the kind of washi we want in stores. 😊
This is a fantastic idea!!! Makes such beautiful washi tape. I like how you tear edges!!! Using double-sided tape is clever. Great video. Thx!!
Austin,TX USA
Thanks so much! 😊 The tearing is actually the quickest and easiest way to get the paper detached but it leaves such a nice look
🤯🤯🤯OH EM GEE - I say this on my channel all the time but I'm the "Who Knew" girl - who knew??? TYFS❣❣❣. Absolute game changer.
Thank you! 😊 just subscribed to you!
@@LaceCoveredSkies Thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate that. Have a wonderful day!
I love everything about this Leminh, particularly your method for the torn edge! Very cool.... and lucky me, I have all the materials to give it a go 😉.
Thank you Mary! 😊 the torn edge looks very handmade, ironically it’s much easier than using scissors! 😂 I hope you have a lot of fun making them! It took awhile for me to put this video out! 😄
Beautiful crystal clear explanation. Will give it a try today. Thankyou for sharing your talent
Thanks so much for your comment! I appreciate it! 😊
Thank you. Dreams come true.
This is a great idea! It’s unusual and unique amongst the paper crafting videos. I think that you could make better videos by projecting a little enthusiasm and happiness into your voice as you speak. In this video, your voice is very soft and monotone. What I do before I make a video it’s write out a script. I then practice it out loud so I am comfortable and familiar with the words. That way, I know I haven’t forgotten anything. It really helped my delivery of instructions during tutorials.
Such a cool idea! TFS
Thank you so much! 😊
Lemin, thank you, again, for another fabulous artistic inspirational video. My heart is full as is my inspirational journal🍃💕
Thank you so much! I’m glad this gave you some inspiration!
Brilliant idea! Going to try this, for sure! Thank you so much for showing how to do this!
awesome!! I hope you have fun with it! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi I just came over from My Paper Journey with MJ, Another thin i ust the left over napkin for is to stamp on and use for collage or to scrunch up and use as texture on journal covers just a couple more ideas to add in to your make I never thought of making the washi with the napkins so can not wait to try this out Thanks for this share and the inspiration Hugs and Smiles Blessings
I love the idea of using the leftover tissue for texture! Stamping is great too. I also love printing on it to make découpage paper. Thanks for watching!
This is a great idea. It looks like fun to do too.
I really enjoyed it. Carol from California
Thank you Carol! It’s actually very therapeutic and a bonus is getting to see the end result! 😊
Love these!
Thank you!
Your method is precise and I would not have been able to do it without your instruction. Gorgeous work. I now want to use it on some pretty napkins. I have none like yours, so I’ll be shopping!
Thank you, that means a lot! I never know if I’m being too thorough or not thorough enough in my tutorials 😊 have fun!
Wonderful idea! Thanks so much for the tutorial. I have some Tuesday morning napkins. I'm sorry to hear you no longer have a local store.
I hope you got to give it a try! Thanks for watching!
This is great! I rarely use my napkins, so this would be a perfect and easy way to use them.🥰
Thank you Pam! I’m addicted to making them now. 😂 Luckily one napkin goes such a long way!
I love it! Thanks for your idea!
Good idea! TFS
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the tutorial
You are very welcome!
What a super idea! Thank you for sharing. So pretty. You have some really beautiful napkins.
I wonder what they’d look like if they were mod podge thin layer over the top too. Yummy. Love it!
Great idea! Thanks for watching!
I like the way you tore the sides. I had made some washi tape with napkins a while ago but I used scissors to cut off the excess. Your way is easier. Your napkins are lovely. Tfs
Thank you! I think I decided to tear it because I didn't have my scissor handy. LOL! The torn edge was a happy accident and ended up giving it a cool look. Thank you for watching! :)
Now this was the easiest way for making the washi tape... TYFS!♥️
Thank you so much for your comment! It really is easy-going with the flow LOL Thank so much for watching. 😊
I stamp with archival ink on the napkin backings. Used in collage. Would be cool for custom. Washp
Washi tape too.
That would be an awesome way to make your own design for washi tape. Love it!
You just got a new subscriber! I love working with napkins for collage and journal making. Love how you showed us so patiently and at a speed I can do while I watch to learn. Thank you!
This is absolutely a great idea.. I am tempted to try this diy😊😊Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Great tutorial!❤
Love this idea… good thinking girl.. I will use it for sure…was wondering if you have done other ones example with some materials… would like to see that as well.
love this so much Leminh!! looks amazing with your napkins & love how you can continue & make a really long piece like that
Thank you! I was making strips at first then figured this out which makes it so much easier to use and store. Plus it looks like real tape! 😂 Miss you!!
Great idea!
Well I'm not even a crafty person (not yet anyway) and I found this video to be so soothing. You could absolutely start an Asmr channel for when you're making your washi tape rolls with & without your voice, and then you could have this channel for instruction tutorials. Then sell these beautiful tapes in a shop online. This is amazing. I've just subscribed, I've liked several comments, and I plan to visit the other channels mentioned in those comments too (paper terrance / paper journey by mj)
Yes, thank you for this video. I’ve been looking for a way to do this for minute now, so thank you and never would’ve thought of napkins and I have a lot of them so this is gonna work out just fine. Thank you so much.❤
Such a great idea for washi --adds so much texture...thank you for the inspiration..great video!
The washi tape you have made is so beautiful
I loved seeing your process and even your thoughts as you created the tape. Thanks so much for sharing such a great idea.
Thanks so much! I hope my rambling helped to make the process clearer! 😊😂 thank you for watching!
THIS is awesome 🤩 I’ve subscribed absolutely! Thank you for your time in sharing this wonderful tutorial! So much prettier than store bought Washi tape and a significant savings. Win Win ❤
Brilliant! Now I just have to found so beauty napkins 😋
I hope you got to try it out!
I too loved Crafty Irena. Her voice was so sweet and she was so very talented. Oh, by the way, I have napkins like you have used here. I got them at Tuesday Morning in Springhill, Florida. When I went back there on my recent trip to Florida, it had closed too.
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! 🤍😊
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing this technique with us 😊
Thank you so much for watching! 🤍😊
This is awesome! Thanks so much. Now I have to shop for napkins 😊
Thank you so much! I hope you find some cool ones to try with!
Love this idea! Beautiful results. Thanks so much for sharing ❤️
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! 😊🤍
Love your video! Thank you for sharing. Have you ever tried rubbing the corner edge of your napkin to "relax" the raised dots? They are holding the two or three layers together. By rubbing them with your fingernail or a paper bone, you release that hold. Makes it much easier to free the layers. I use the backs to decoupage over images that need "taming".
I knew the dots held the plys together but never thought to flatten them to separate the layers. Just tried it and it works easy peasy!
I think I would take a bone folder and give it an extra rub after it’s all rolled to make sure it is stuck on there good. I love this technique. I’m buying all kinds of double sided taper. I have tons of napkins.
Good idea! Id totally use a bone folder because I like to be very thorough but this particular double sided tape is extremely sticky so I didn’t even think of that 😊
you are great! You do not talk too fast. thnx. from Texas Gulf Coast
Brilliant 🤩 ! Thanks for sharing ! 😃💚🌸🐇🌹
Thank you so much!
I am a new subscriber, this is such a great idea, TFS.
Thank you so much for subscribing! I focus on lots of tutorials on this channel and I hope you enjoy!
What a great idea...thanks for sharing 💖
Thank you so much! 🤍😊
Great idea. Have you done a video showing the use of these? I'm curious about how easy it is to actually use them. Thanks!
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I have used these a lot especially in my grungy textured journals. I will point them out again soon but they give a lovely translucent effect because the tape is clear. I like taping them over text so the words show through 😊
Thank you for such an awesome idea
You are so welcome! I hope you get to have some fun creating! 😊
Genius!!!! Xxx
what a great idea !!!
Thank you! And thanks so much for watching!
We lost our Tuesday Morning, too. :- ( I'm glad I bought tons of napkins there, but what a loss!
That's a brilliant idea, I have Carpet tape I used it with Fabric, Might be a bit strong But I'll try.
It’s totally worth a shot. I’ve never worked with carpet tape before but I’ve seen people use it for different things. I’d be curious to see how it works!
Wauw, what a great idea. Thank you so very much. Kindest regards, Linda
Thank you!! I hope you get to try making some! 😌
Paper Terrace recommended your CZcams videos.
Thank you so much for coming over! I hope you find some of my videos helpful.
Thank you
🤍
Fabulous idea tfs ...Kia kaha...
Thank you!!
This is such an ingenious idea! I love to use pretty napkins in my projects. I never would have thought to make washi tape with them. Thanks for showing us how to make them!! I'm a new subbie, too!😀
Thank you so much for your sweet comments! I hope you get a chance to try it out soon. And welcome! I do lots of tutorials on this channel and I hope you find some other ones that look interesting to try. 🤍🤗
I wonder also about looking at any and all thrift type stores even the antique stores where almost the whole store is divided into different little areas where people set up their own stuff for sale. I know of one near me I am going there soon now! Thanks so much 😊👏
That sounds like an amazing place to find some cool stuff. I wish we had that where I live! Have fun!
Those are called antique malls. 😉
I've used this tape many times Originally I loved it. Over time it yellows since it is like rubber cement.
Thank you. I’ve not had that experience yet but will keep that in mind.
Hello,
I like this very much. I have a lot of stuff butt i want to make my own. That is more fun.
Were can i find the video about the fabric washi tapes or stickers you were telling about in the video. I hope you can help me. Greetings Maartje
Do you seal the napkin with mod podge or some type of sealer so that the napkin does not tear
Start to seperate the napkins ringt in the corner and you won’t end with a whole in the middle of the back tissues
I’ve noticed a lot of my Tuesday morning stores have close as well. I hate that!
Me too! I wish I would have known they were closing, i would have stocked up! 😄
Where did you purchase the blue napkin with the birds please? Thank you
I believe that was from Tuesday Morning. I will be doing a large napkin destash if you are interested. I have much to spare and then some! 😊
@@LaceCoveredSkies Thank you! They do have beautiful napkins.
Well taught but could you speak up a little louder?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I found out about this using fabric never tried napkins
Question: why are you not going with the pattern not against the pattern?
🇦🇺🌸
Fabric is great for this too! Although napkin is just a bit more flexible. When the napkin is folded it is right side up on each panel, so when I opened up the whole sheet the sides were printed upside down from each other. I was right side up for one half of the napkin and became upside down as I continued to go down the length 😄 I hope that made sense!
@@LaceCoveredSkies i get it I was just curious
Ive used serviettes,,,wait napkins....lol on tags I gesso the tag lay the napkin on top and iron perfect every time
I need the tape so I will lickety split down the the shop tomorrow and begin rumaging through my serviettes..☺️napkins
Now where did I put them🤔☺️
Cheers🇦🇺🌺❤️
@@Ammiel7 😊 have fun!
