Good info! I just started collecting about 2 months ago so I'm not a purist but I definitely prefer the silver borders. Also, way to be there for those little ones. Single dads get zero recognition so I commend you for that, I'm sure the kids know they have a great dad. Best of luck with your channel. By the way, you should consider getting a po box, if you’re able, so if by some chance any of your followers would like to send stuff to help out.

@@joshcash9277 well I mean from random people, because you know people are gonna be weighing their packs and only selling the trash ones. Also I don't think target just sells loose packs. Sleeved packs sure but those wouldn't be weighable I wouldn't think.
The yt community is buying lose packs all the time from rip and shippers and getting bangers. I don't think it's fair to people selling loose packs legitimately and honestly outside of youtube to advise buyers not to purchase them. If I have a bad experience buying loose packs outside of youtube or on youtube, then lesson learned and I would obviously not buy from that seller again. I can show you a video where boxes can be weighed too. Should we also not buy boxes?

However, personally I don't see the point of rip and shippers at all. I'd rather just buy and purchase my own packs. But OBVIOUSLY there are legit people doing those things. But at the same time, you cannot deny that buying those types of things is adding an extra layer of risk into the equation. I've pulled hits from loose packs. It's the same chances across the board. There are dud and hit boxes, bundles, packs with every set. That's one reason why some people do pokemon, it's not like sports hobby and retail boxes where you are garaunteed some type of rarity.

Wow, those were some nice hits, but really frustrating to see how weighable this set is. Definitely staying away from buying single packs online. Especially in Japanese! And kinda weird how all of your packs had black border codes, I only opened 6 single pack blisters so far and almost all of them had white border codes, with my only hit being the Slowbro that had a white code card. Also I hate how they have the code cards in the first place, personally, it ruins the surprise seeing the code card color right out of the pack. So now I just have to close my eyes lol!
Thanks! I was surprised to see so many hits too. I've noticed that booster boxes have all black codes and etbs have all white. Super weird but maybe it's a way to tell what products the packs came from?

Oh yes. We opened 25 heavy (22.70) and super heavy (22.80) packs 2/3 weeks AGO. Insane pulls compared to the 22.60 packs. 😁🔥 Missing the Miriam still

This is my first set I’m going to actually finish. I really enjoy this set. They look nice plus it’s a new generation for Pokémon to me. Sadly not in South Carolina, but I’m in North Carolina. Also, being a single parent is hard, I’m one too. But we will figure stuff out even though half the time we don’t know what is going on😂Luckily I have some places to get stuff. Congratulations on the pulls. Just subscribed too

There is no way to make it truly random unless there are like 15 different weights on each code card
They had it right during sun and moon from what I remember. Of course it could be hard to fix the packs that have multiple hit but it could be done
I see a few people complaining about loose packs and maybe I'm reading into this improperly but I've always had bad luck with ETB's and extremely great luck with loose ones.
Pre-release events/Loose packs have always been decent for to me. Is there such a thing of cursed ETB's?
Yeah it's all random. Usually etbs are bad for me. The sleeved boosters for scarlet have been very bad so far as well
How long has the pack weigh thing been an issue
It's been an issue since the beginning but was fixed at a point (where I'm not sure) but came back around fusion Strike
So if the release is until the 31st, how is your LGS selling them early??
My lcs holds prerelease events. Store that hold these events are allowed to sell 1 week before the official release date.
They have white and black code cards my friend. I opened up 15 packs yesterday One Etb, two 3 pack blisters. I pulled the Miriam sir out from behind a white code card. Never judge a pack by the color of the code card 😅

Ive seen hits come from both white code cards and black code cards in Scarlet & Violet

damn this is actually kinda sad that they messed up like this with the code cards, I don't know whether this can be true for all packs as I have seen some white code cards floating around there in SV packs but personally all of my product so far has come with only black code cards, defienetly gonna stay away from rip and ships and online 2nd hand stores for now and stick with my LGS and retailers for sealed product.

I love this set, but the regular ex's need better quality imo. If you compare it to the japanese version, the difference is clear, the US ones are more dull and the star holo is more difficult to see. I love the illustration rares though

Not weighable I dont think... Pokemon did well here and got sneaky. Now all of a certain product has the same code card. So this entire booster box had black but another could have all white so the weights may be the same but since you dont know what color code card your product is it could be the opposite. So you could get a 3 pack blister for example, weigh them, see that 2 packs are 21.9 and 1 pack is 22.18, and still not know which has hits because you dont know if this is an all white code product or all black code product. With that being said, I do still advise not to buy loose packs. If you buy single packs, buy them sleeved. Too much sketchy stuff can happen with loose packs (i.e. resealing)
yeah ive tried weighing my self with newer packs... some were 20g and had hits some were 22 and had no hits. soooooo who tf knows lol
Yeah I’m pretty sure sleeved boosters can be weighed as well. I picked up like 30 sleeved boosters from Walmart and I’m pretty sure someone set there at Walmart and weighed them because there was not a single hit in any of them.
I want to try this on sleeved boosters too. I've opened a good bit with my kids and the pulls have far and few in between.

One box I opened had all black code cards with crazy pulls, the second had mixed code cards.

Poor test example, you can’t weigh to guarantee pulls. Yes it can sort of be leveraged but I’ve done experiments with weights and definitely missed some big hits assuming that. Also these packs will have 3 foils and be heavier than previous sets.
Did you watch the video? The answer was clear for my box. Plus I used a booster box. Other products can definitely differ depending on print facility and print run.
My BB had all white code cards. I think it's either all black code cards or all white code cards.

Yes, like these people that buy a whole bunch from Pokémon at reduced price and then sell them. They also are collectors and may want to keep some for themselves

Silver Borders make the cards easier to look at. Its not as harsh as the "in your face, out of place, yellow"
I agree. It's still a little weird seeing how they've been yellow for 25 years
The yellow did look good on all the electric and dragon type pokemon in my opinion :)

The quality on some of these new cards kinda sux. Ripped with a group of friends, most of our hits had quality issues. I've never seen so many print lines b4.

The school part in the game is looong and annoying lol, but when they cut you loose, you're going to love the game. I haven't played a video game start to finish since Pokemon Gold in the year 2000 and I just finished Pokemon Scarlet in a week because it was so fun exploring. You will get annoyed with the software glitches that happen, but they're not a deal breaker.

Prices on Scarlet Violet are tanking hard already. Give it a few weeks and the current top 3 cards will be less than $50. Holo+Reverse will be the new Bulk. With the latest price increase, I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of Pokemon product sitting on the shelves again. But man o man. Don't buy LOOSE packs after seeing this.
How much is the price difference in your country? Here in mine it is only 10 cent more for a pack - so you don't really notice it that much.

I'd stay away from booster boxes if you want a better range of pulls. ETB and Booster Bundles are the way to go!

I've done that in the past but it's not necessary. People either skip or stop watching at that point. I write the weight on every pack. I appreciate ya for the tip though 💯🙏
3 holos/pack is a fluffer to make us feel like you’re getting more pulls. I love the new Holo rare look but it fools you thinking your got a big hit in the back. I did hit some good double hits in one pack

They could have easily fixed this with random number of foil cards per pack but instead we have this sh#$ again.
This bs I’m sorry 😂 I went to the store today and got 5 packs then came back and got 10 and I weighed every single pack with pack case and then without. I got roughly the same amount of weight when it’s enclosed in the pack case but then the weights were so different. I was getting CRAZY HITS in light, middle, and heavy packs. I was so confused. I literally even got a double hit in a mid pack. 9 hits in 15 packs, idk bout y’all but that’s the luckiest I’ve ever been. Not to mention, I pulled some of the rarest cards.

Just buy a sealed booster box, you’ll be fine. Why would anyone buy loose booster packs when we have sleeved boosters, single pack blisters, etc?
There are breaks and such which can be fun but some people are dishonest and take all the good packs out and sell the duds
In England loose boosters are half the price of sealed, that’s why people buy them

I understand the appeal for them, and enjoy watching breaks myself, but as a long term collector, I’ve gotta watch my price/ pack ratio. All sets can be weighed if you take the time to figure out the weights. Literally every single set.
I did wonder about the hit rates I was getting from loose packs. I actually think this goes deeper and am convinced there are some employees in kmarts and other department stores weighing packs
That's possible. But I've opened around 20 sleeved boosters with my boys and only hit 1 regular ex...
Just don't go buying loose packs. I stick to buying unsealed stuff bc of this kind of shenanigans going on.

The code cards and energys are different weights between cards so they can't be cheated
Very disappointed in this set the sliver borders was a bad idea and out of the whole set Thera only 4 cards I want and there’s no vs vmax or vstars I don’t like the ex crap I won’t be buying anymore S&V crown zenith it’s 1000 times better set
All the code card's are the same and those card aren't worth anything raw. So yeah they weight packs doesn't do anything for you in this set 😂.
