    In practice I’ve found that if you have a very small bow in the neck from the truss rod adjustment, that sometimes it will be just enough to keep weather effects from changing enough to make sure the guitar is still playable. I was having a lot of trouble with my strats and telecaster when using them in the dead of winter in the upper Midwest. If I would adjust perfectly straight, I would have a lot of fret buzz issues especially when there was inclement weather going on.
