    /// ABOUT ME ///
    I’m Catalina, a Spanish teacher and language lover. I’m passionate about helping people learn Spanish, and I believe that everyone can achieve their language learning goals with the right tools and resources.
    I’m also a big fan of travel, and I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to many different countries around the world. I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn about a new culture, and I’m always looking for new opportunities to experience different cultures through language learning.
    I was born in Colombia and I am a Spanish native speaker. I moved to the United States when I was 16 years old, and I’ve been teaching Spanish ever since. I love helping people learn a new language, and I’m always looking for new and innovative ways to make language learning fun and effective.
    I started my website and my CZcams Channel to share my love of Spanish and Travel with others. I hope you’ll find my resources helpful and inspiring. Whether you’re just starting out with Spanish or you’re looking to improve your fluency, I’m here to help you reach your goals.
    During my 17 years of teaching Spanish, I spend a lot of time specializing in Spanish language acquisition & learning Spanish as a Second Language. I have always continued my education to advance my teaching ability. Therefore, I can help you learn Spanish, share my expertise as an educator, collaborate with people worldwide, and share my travels.

    Esta lección fue perfecta, muchas gracias! Most of the people I will be speaking Spanish with are from Mexico. Which of the different norms of telling time are they used to?

    • @TeacherCatalina
      @TeacherCatalina  Před 3 lety +1

      Most of us in Latin America tend to say the Hour followed by the minute. Son las dos y cincuenta y cinco. A lot of my friends from Mexico do the same :). My friends and family from Spain employ the use of menos the most. In addition, they may use military time for train and flight schedules :)

    Does 'en punto' mean o'clock? I thought it is interpreted to mean 'exactly' or 'on the dot' or 'sharp' like we would say in English. Also is 'en punto' only used for the hour? Or can I say 'Son las dos y veinte en punto' ?

    • @TeacherCatalina
      @TeacherCatalina  Před 2 lety +1

      En punto literally translates to "on the dot" which yes it is use for o'clock :) Only use it for the hour when it's o'clock. Hope this helps. :)
