The 2s are always a beast shoe. Minimal. No tacky designs or logos. Classic. Timeless.
MJ had a hell of a season in these… Slam Dunk Champion, All-Defensive Team, 37PPG… It’s not the fact that MJ broke his foot, it’s just the fact that the AJII have never been a favorite of “sneakerheads” & hypebeast.
Also, MJ broke his foot in the AJI.

Most definitely it's the biggest Unicorn of the Jordan's. I came up during this time and remember when he walked out with them before they hit the shelf. We thought it was space age back in the day. Totally a steal!

I mean people pay resale for when they take L so if can get an OG Chicago for retail im all for it. This is clean but if I take L it’s one I can move on from I will not pay more than retail for a 2

Funny thing about the 2's, is some years back, it became trendy to dislike them. It's the same hypebeast mentality that made people buy shoes they didn't even like. I'm from DC, and we always set the trends when it came to the sneaker culture. I'm definitely picking a pair up.

Actually the foot injury occured while wearing the Chicago 1, quite frankly I hope they don't sell out more pairs for me of this dope, overlooked, underrated,sneaker.
Man if I financially could, I'd cop 5 pairs for personal😂. My first two was the alternate 87 that released in 2016/2017 (didn't get into Jordan's until like 2014-2015) and ever since then I've loved the silhouette! This OG colorway is a must cop!!
Yes these are essential to the brand! This shoe has some amazing highlights with Jordan wearing them. The creativity was before its time and to see him play in them and waiting for sports center to come on to see his highlights in them. Check out CZcams to see the highlights of him in the 2’s.
Sup man. I’m late on this pickup but I bought a pair on eBay sz 10.5. Received the shoes and they were actually a woman’s sz 12. The seller didn’t really emphasize it was a woman’s shoe. Should I get a refund and get a mens pair , or is it basically the same exact shoe besides it labeled womens ?
These sat for AGES at my local Foot Locker and only just now went on sale. I've only been in the sneaker game for a few months, but the 2s were already on my hit list before the Jordan 3 even blipped my radar. That tacky, plastic heel counter was definitely an acquired taste though.
The 2s were my first pair of Jordans in the mid 80s. I like them 🙂

Jordan 2 were actually my favorite for two reasons. One NO NIKE SYMBOL and two it only said NIKE on the back with the actual air jordan logo / symbol on the tongue..

I'm completely lost with these, I want the shoes but something that throws me off is that there are two types of this retro that I keep seeing. For example, the pair you're reviewing has the four plastic eyelets that are just like in the OG's, and then there are pairs that only have three like modern retro iterations. Do you have any idea on why that is?
I could be wrong but i think smaller sizes have one less eyelet

Never liked the 2s...I own one pair and that's the Balvins that was oringally released. The 2s look like homeless space boots but these are fire and it's a classic color.
