The Air Jordan 2 took the game to another level. The kids now love 1s, which is cool because it's iconic. But when the 1 was released, during and around that time there were other shoes that "looked" like the AJ1. Puma, Converse and Adidas had similar silhouettes. But the AJ2 was futuristic. It was clean (no swoosh) but identifiable. And even though it had the same colors as the AJ1, it was predominantly white, which still appealed to a lot of my generation.
