The dark ones are great, always a pleasure to watch your video!!

Wow there were so many agates just laying there! Well once you got a little farther away from the road, that is! And they may not have been of real high quality, and many were just translucent chalcedony, but the ones with that darker , almost blue inside, were really nice! And the red and orange ones too! Too bad that they were all so fractured up, but that's what happens to rocks in the desert. The intense heat during the day, and the night time temps, in the same spot, is surprisingly cold! Deserts are weird! But that is what causes all the fractures and and even if you dig, chances of finding a piece without fractures is really slim. But the pieces and the smaller ones you were finding would make great tumbling rough, and I bet they would turn out beautiful! Thanks for showing us the gemmy material that Moab has to offer!

Wow gorgeous. We will be coming end of spring from grand junction and I thought a great start to the trip would be to find some agates! It sounds like you preferred looking around green river or Yellow cat. Which area would you suggest if you only could go to one?

I dragged my wife out to that location last year on vacation. Of course anything we found was nice since we don’t have anything like this back home. If you’re going to see Wilson arch you might as well drive a bit more to see what you can find there. We did check out Yellow Cat as well on our way home and as you said there are nicer pieces out there. Thanks for the videos.

Great areas around Moab but you do need a little help from nature in the form of lots of rain like the 10 inches or so in 24 hours a few years ago.

Did you have to climb that fence? I think many of those would be nice, tumbled. Thanks!
