You are making me hungry
Haha. Good to hear
We go the the stalls here every other week and I am very impressed with the research you do in this video, Gregor. The fact that you know Chef Cheung has another stall at the back demonstrates one element of the depth of your commentary that is not just monotonously on the typical 'crispy on the outside and soft on the inside' comments that we get with all the hackneyed vlogs on Singapore hawker food. And the respect that you show is commendable as well. Kudos!
I'm very happy that you picked up on that because I did a lot of research and also talked to my local friend to help me out
Do you have any other recommendations or suggestions?
great video! Welcome and enjoy your time in Singapore!
I appreciate it buddy and thank you so much
You are the man.. great pace narration again..love it.👍👍👍👍👍👍💖🇸🇬

Singapore is on my travel list just a week of eating and leave .....
That sounds like the perfect week
Nice.
Thanks 😎😎😎😎😎😎😋😋😋😋
Great vibes all around. You did research on the history of hawker centre, which is something that some younger locals don't even know about.
Personally, I haven't tried exploring much at this hawker centre. Definitely should do it or I'll be a disgrace as a Singaporean not knowing my stuffs.
Those desserts are not common in the newer hawker centres, so definitely need to try them out.
Yes! Also I spoke with a local friend for information.
so good 😊
Glad you think so!
Wow... you are a big eater 😁
Haha. After that I skipped dinner 😊
Should Try our local spring rolls here. They are wrap up with turnips, Prawns, eggs, beans sprout, lettuces n crispy pork lards. Delicious 😋 🌯. There are many many more delicious local food. Curry 🥘👍 n asam fishs head are also very popular here. Should try 👍.
That is on my list to do now and thank you for the suggestion and sharing with the community
Started watching your channel to get tips on Italy travel before my trip, imagine my surprise when you're in my home country. 🇸🇬 Have a wonderful time, it really is foodie heaven❤️🙂

Hi Welcome to Singapura must visit malaysia everything is cheap ty
I've been but u need to return!
U from Minnesota ? Midwest accented ?
*Yah ?* 😅
Hope U have tucked into the "Half-boiled" Soft eggs with black sauce & pepper, with crispy ButterKaya Toast *!?*
Do you hear an accent? Most people can't place it because I lived in Europe for so long, but I grew up in Oklahoma, lived in Oregon and California before Europe.
But wow, the Singaporean food! LOVE IT.
What is the closing time of Chinatown Hawkers stall..??
I need to check to remember the times and if anyone else here knows right away, your comment would be appreciated
Greg what are your plans for Christmas
Staying in Italy 👍🏴
Having Thai food! 🍲😊
@@GregorBrown haha..
serious!
Its about 25-30c these days. Why are u sweating alot 😔
Must have been the spice. Haha. I was there in October though.
Are all the food video showing are organic food?
Are they encourage to eat organic food ?
Base on the price of organic ingredient, the organic food are tasteless and no much sweetness and flavor.
Should use approved more industrial food chemical to enhance the flavor of organic food.
Can make more things in the end out.
I don't know what's organic and what's not. I didn't ask. But good question.
bro this is bordering on touristy.
Singaporeans dont eat this everyday.
I've lived on this island for 45 years. I know something.
it is hardly representative bro.
Get out of Chinatown it is so gimmicky.
Bro this is for tourists reference only, not for representative purposes whatever that means.
Not that bad lah, there are many good stalls also leh.
What rubbish you talking? It's not like nobody eats any of the stuff he mentioned unless they are tourists. Obviously a lot of people living around chinatown eats/are eating those foods, or some people who went nearby for shopping or whatever reason, otherwise you think he went and hired people to make long queues just for you to see? Just because YOU don't eat stuff like that regularly doesn't mean other people don't. In conclusion, engage brain before mouth.
based on the comments of other locals, I think this is a treasured place. Also, my Singapore friend helped me go here, and he loves it too. I'd say, it's GREAT! And yeah, also I was being a Tourist, why not? And while in there, there were were many locals that I met. ;)
@@GregorBrown yep, even though I don’t personally go there often but i do like the food there as well. I just can find similar items near where i live so I don’t feel a need to travel over, unless i’m nearby on other business.
