i finally sold my apartment in medellin after getting robbed at 2:00 pm by two guys on a moto. yu cant relax at this city. wont miss it
Your right. I loved Medellin. Never realized how much I missed peace till I moved.
Yeah it’s not for everyone. Sorry that happened to you.
@@RenataKolar-wy1qm exactly, you cant walk the streets, cant take a stroll in the park. cant leave things in your hotel. you cant drive with windows down. cant dress nice. you need to drive everywhere in a car with your windows rolled up and tinted windows. you cant let anyone know where you live. you have to assume that everyone is out to get you. and getting pistol whipped and robbed is actually traumatizing. the robbers left bruises on me. it hurt really bad, oh yea i forgot about the time i was at a hotel and one of the staff came into my room and stole everything i had. that was a year ago. and also one time i rented an air bnb and got my room broken into. 4 incidents withing 2 years. i never gave any papaya. never had my phone or camera out, never wore flashy clothes. designer brands or any jewelry. never went out drinking. never met people off internet apps. it was just random acts. i wanted to start a new life here.
@amandaburleson2035 Wow 😳 I suddenly feel fortunate, since the last two winters I've stayed in Medellin and nothing ever happened to me. However I don't think I'll be back this winter after seeing alot of people sour on the city and complain about their safety. It makes me feel as if it's only a matter of time before I have my own incident.
@@Dividenddreamyep like I tell everyone. There’s no need to come if you’re scared and feel unsafe. Just not necessary.
Great input. Any thoughts about hiring architects for renovations?
Andrew working overtime..baby on the way
Yessir!
Great info Andrew!
Thank you!
looking for work in real estate, local or calling, have experience, would like to talk and see if you would be interested in having me work with you or for someone you know in the business. Thanks!
What’s the version of an IRÁ in Colombia?
How likely colombian government will ban me to enter the country if I buy the property in Colombia? What can I do to avoid this?
Since the seller has to pay the agents commission, he will probably be chosen by him and work on his interest. Does that mean there will be 2 agents in the picture?
Yes, there could be.
Shout out to you brother from Canada. Great info brother.
What’s good Canada?! Thanks 🙏
You mentioned in 2 videos that the investment needs to be registered with the national bank. Can you please go into the why / pros and cons? Thanks!
Foreign direct investment requires a mandatory registration with the central bank. This ensures transparency and adherence to regulations. You could face fines of 100% the value of the incorrectly transferred funds.
Thanks for the reply. I believe I have seen in other CZcams videos that if somehow you end up in this situation and have to deal with this, there are still ways to fix it instead of paying the fine. Have you ever had to deal with this or know someone that had to? Thanks again! Happy new year 2024

@@yohannt305 no I haven’t. But I’m sure the lawyers at Nexo.legal can answer this for you if you message them.
I am trying to buy property in medellin - pre-construction. i hear you only need 30%
yes 30% during the construction the rest you pay after the construction is done. you can get a nice discount of the value of the apartment if you pay that 30 or 40% up front.
I think Canadiens or Americans should stand for their own country and try to make a change in their own land instead of coming to buy proprieties like some chinese investors. I know your content can be very useful but you know how it is. Unless you want to create jobs for the locals of Colombia. Don’t come here to flex.
Sincerely,
To all the cowards that can’t stand up for their own country.
Ok thanks for the public service announcement. 😂
@@MedellinBuzz if you don’t know you don’t know. Even well educated and lowkey people get killed in Medellín. Try not to sell a dream that could turn into a nightmare. Someone is always looking. Medellín is hot. Don’t underestimate this city.
@@godisgreat7324 you’re right this place isn’t for everyone. I screen our students personally, and have had to reject a few.
I am missing something. I don’t see the cowardice link here. Hopefully the folks arriving are looking to invest money, time, and skills in ways that are beneficial for more than just themselves. It always puzzles me that people are expected to be limited by accidents of birth, rather than encouraged to make the most positive impact they can, even if that means leaving home. I also feel the US and Canada should overhaul their immigration policies to encourage more vibrant folks to enter and even remain.
I left my hometown for military service at 18, rather than stay and fight the local government. Is that cowardice? In my understanding, immigration generally really enriches a place with new perspectives and entrepreneurial spirit, etc. People that become fluent in multiple cultures make the world more interesting and usually more empathetic and safer as well.
I mean no disrespect, just offering another way to look at the idea.
You must don’t understand capitalism. Corruption is baked into the system. Free thinking people like yourself is at a premium. The big corporations have everything on their side, from the media to the judiciary system to politicians. So for every one person who thinks like you it’s probably 150,000 sheep. You have a great point but it would take a thousand years to turn public opinion in your favor.
P.s
You’re wasting precious time coming to a forum like this. You should be at home building your country up. 😂
