My Dads detail work was second to NONE ! ! Ziroli keeps the generations of "Skilled Craftsman" ALIVE ! ! RIP dad...............OH and thanks for these VIDS. They're AWESOME....
HOLY.......The detail, I could never build it that well, and if I did I would have to put it in a glass case and never touch it again, much less fly it......
I wish we had these cool tools when I was building plane models! I bet rivets are driving you nuts with thousands just in a wing! But plane is cooler than cool!!
is the music ???? Sousia?? or something like that. I seem to think somewhere in my dusty dark storage I have an old LP with this marching music on it. Carry over from my 25 years military days..... I was so gunho and keen at the very start.
Hey Mike: NEXT time (if there's going to be one) you should put a laser engraver on your cnc machine. I picked up a little 2.5 w one and can do a LOT with it, but a 5 or 10 watt will be able to cut out parts for you. I was thinking for some of the finer details you can engrave with the laser. I haven't tried micro lettering yet with mine but I've gone down to 1/8" and they are razor sharp.
go over to cncrouterparts.com. I used their concept to upgrade mine: v bearings on steel angle iron. I haven't installed mine yet but they are smooth and precise. There is also very little rolling resistance because it is steel on steel with a small contact patch. Kind of like trains on rails......
Really beautiful. Not only the attention to detail but the standard all those details are made to, outstanding. Now, I hate to bring this up and I know this divides people, but when I see a model of this incredible standard, then find out it's got electric power... I have to say, I'm disappointed! Does a lovely multi-cylinder 4-stroke not appeal at all? To me they are the same miniature elegance as the work in this model and would suit the same ideals that built the model... I totally get that to many people they're just not into it and there are other priorities in the build, but there's something about high quality miniature engines that is also beautiful. Modern spark ignition gassers are cleaner and easier to use than ever, and if you've seen that RC Spitfire with the inline Kolm 170cc UAV engine, the sound is *awesome* and very "scale", the engines IMO are totally in keeping with the concept of the model. I really don't want to criticise but I don't fully understand how someone could build a machine like this and not use that type of powerplant... different points of view and priorities, I get it, but anyway that's how I would see it.
I couldn't agree with you more, but at the time I didn't know anything about gasers and didn't have any guidance. I have since gained a little more experience and have a Zero with an FG90r radial and currently putting together a Comp Arf Spitfire with a DA100i inline. I do love the sound of that Saito with a Keleo ring exhaust. I haven't heard the inline yet. If your interested check out one of my P-38 flight videos, doesn't sound like a gasser but it's not bad. czcams.com/video/PncyeRiGygM/video.html
Please, GLASS CASE. I know that you rigged it for RC but please for " Static " display only. It is just too beautiful to risk flight. BTW, great music.
War and death is good. We play the roleplay.then we roleplay the roleplay. And war and killing persisted to serve the rich... in return we get brain washing marching music

Stunning work! Excellent job. I will have to live vicariously through you.
Thank you for the kind comment.
Great work and attention to detail.
If there's one thing this video taught me, it's that this is a great way to avoid sex! Thank you!
One of my personal favorites. Keep up the awesome work. It is looking really excellent. ❤❤❤👍👍👍
I'm done with the build and have many flights on her.
Very nice work! Looks amazing. In scale it looks just like the real deal! Congratulations!
Wow. A museum worthy creation.
Excellent attention to detail 👍

lol you took the words right out of my mouth...only I said HOLY CRAP look at the detail!!!
Excellent! I love p38s!!!!!!

Excellent work of pure love.....I love P38s.
Love the music ........
must get a lot of pleasure building a plane like this and as a bonus u can fly it as well
0:51 whuttt! Talk about details 🙌
You da man, Mikey... you da man!
Great video amazing
Sweet!!!!!!! = )
It's most fun to watch this at 2x speed! :^D

Muskoka Mike s
Yes I would love to have a laser attachment. I would probably want to upgrade my slides with something more precise.

@@MikeJM-Fly-RCThanks! I will read that, with pleasure. Yes they are great engines, only got a couple of flat twin 4c's myself, both saito
How did you mold the clear canopy plastic?
I didn't, it can be purchased thru Ziroli
Please, GLASS CASE. I know that you rigged it for RC but please for " Static " display only. It is just too beautiful to risk flight. BTW, great music.
Beautiful plane I be afraid to fly! About how many hours do you think you have in completed plane.
I didn't keep track
museum quality
Please make bold of this artwork before it even scratches ! Don't let this detailing work go to waste.
I have to ask: how the heck did you do the rivets on the canopy? I was thinking "straight pins cut off" but that's a LOT of measuring!!!
A combination of raised rivets using canopy glue on vinyl rivets and flush rivets applied using a soldering iron and brass tubing.
After 3000 rivets i’da said awww forget it.
actually was quite relaxing.
1:39 oh its a rearview mirror, ha why am i so surprised by that
Check out some flights here: czcams.com/video/PncyeRiGygM/video.html
Is there a complete build full length video available?
Not in one video, there are 3 build videos, a crappy maiden video and a fairly good video of some flights patched together.
@@MikeJM-Fly-RC thanks Mike will check out.
Lol, yeah it'd be 8 months, 13 days,22 hours and 17 minutes probably
Ok, cool plane and all, but whats the name of the song playing? I've heard it exactly once, and thats from Girls Und Panzer.

Wtf
Cool videos but we dont need the music
Heli4213 just wondering, who is we? Are you speaking for all viewers?
You are wasted on this. You should be building real planes
