It takes a lot of guts to admit something like that yourself a woman. A lot of people keep gaining weight until they can’t deny it any longer when they look in the mirror. I can’t say as to what you should do but drinking lots of water throughout the day helped me lose 35 pounds. Just remember that you won’t be like that forever. Good luck 👍

People who tell her not to "celebrate her success" are just jealous or sad, people who can't be assed doing something about their lives. Anyone who commits to such a gruelling transforming will go from being complacent to working hard. It is never easy to make this change but it IS easy to sit around and do nothing. People for some reason dont understand the difference between having value as a person and weight. I think the message is good, that everyone is a person and unique and beautiful, however being fat in not healthy. Unhealthy is not a good look, but it does NOT take away from your WORTH. somewhere here the message gets lost where it Is almost encouraged to be an unhealthy weight. The segment on Adele was some of the truest talk I’ve ever heard: She’s already proved the stereotypes wrong before her weight loss, and losing weight is hard AF! Even just maintaining a weight takes a lot of discipline and a lot of people fluctuate 10-20 pounds (I know I do after my 50 pound loss). Be happy for other people’s accomplishments!

She didn’t start working out to get skinny, she did it to feel stronger after surgery and the birth of her child but most of the articles about her just focused on her looks.

In TLCs defense, it sounds like that one guy’s assault case was so recent during filming that he probably hadn’t even been to court and formally sentenced, which means it may not have been on record. Even in cases like that you are innocent until you’re guilty. Hopefully TLC made that girl and her family aware of it when they found out but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just kept filming for a bit.

That Adele stuff is nothing new. Back when she first got famous, she made a point about her weight, saying she would never be thin because she didn't want to be commercialized for her sexuality. Then people were pissed off when some time later (years I think) she said she was going to "sex up" her image or something along those lines. It was a long time ago so I can barely remember. I think a lot of people have felt betrayed by her before. She was a kind of counter-culture symbol. They were equally pissed when she built her career on a working-class kind of philosophy against corporate greed and whatnot, then when she got rich she got pissy that she had to pay more tax. In the end, who cares, she's still successful, and she's likely much more healthy than before so the joke is on the people who waste their energy getting angry at her

In TLCs defense, it sounds like that one guy’s assault case was so recent during filming that he probably hadn’t even been to court and formally sentenced, which means it may not have been on record. Even in cases like that you are innocent until you’re guilty. Hopefully TLC made that girl and her family aware of it when they found out but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just kept filming for a bit.

I think a lot of people have felt betrayed by her before. She was a kind of counter-culture symbol. They were equally pissed when she built her career on a working-class kind of philosophy against corporate greed and whatnot, then when she got rich she got pissy that she had to pay more tax. In the end, who cares, she's still successful, and she's likely much more healthy than before so the joke is on the people who waste their energy getting angry at her
