@@schwammi Its harder to sing in front of someone you care about, where the repercussions of their opinion holds greater effect - especially because acapella needs even greater vocal skill to sound good, than it is to sing to a distant unfathomable crowd of strangers in the privacy of your own room and space and their reactions don't matter the same way. I sing better to my stream than I do to most friends, and the best when Im all alone by myself, . There's a threshold for it - for some friends, this doesn't hold true, because they've established that it doesn't bother them to have me belting with no music. But that's few and far between. Im sure others have very different experiences, but this one isn't uncommon either. :)

Omg she sounds amazing. Every time I hear her sing "Part of That World" want to cry though. Isolation, especially years of isolation, hurts like hell. Loneliness can be oh-so physically painful. My experience as a child was waaay better than Mouse's, but still, the empathy I have for her is ginormous. I think there's a reason that that's a Disney song she tends towards and knows the lyrics to. Several of her other more common song choices too, though some are chosen for other reasons like register or request.
