The MCU needs to take some notes from 97 and the comics to do Cyclops justice in the upcoming movies and fully redeem him. Cyclops isn't just the most underrated of the X men he's the most underrated hero in marvel. Scott can use his concussive blasts not just to move around and slow down his fall, he can also do captain America level ricochet shots that could take down dozens of guys in one shot. His blasts can also split mountains in half and cut throw Tsunami's. I'd like to see future X men stories go into Cyclops Superior DNA and the source of his power and have him live up to his full potential .

Cyclops is one my favorite members of the X-Men because of his determination and leadership prowess. I need to read all of Scott's journeys in the X-Men comics. X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Giant Sized X-Men, X-Factor, New X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, House of X, Powers of X, and Fall of X.
And of course, some of the best X-Men stories: Phoenix Saga, Days of Future Past, Fate of the Phoenix, Brood Saga, God Loves Man Kills, Asgardian Wars, Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, Operation Zero Tolerance, Evolutionary War, House of M Decimation, Deadly Genesis, Messiah Complex, Necrosha Second Coming, Messiah War, Curse of the Mutants, Schism, X-Men Revolution (Marvel NOW line).
I love Slim! Glad he is getting some spotlight.

I have a theory about Cyclops. He should be able to be invulnerable like Sam Guthrie/Cannonball, when he uses his powers. Peak optic blast can obliterate a whole sentinel. That amount of force will need a abnormal amount of stability to not have Scotts head fly off his shoulders.

Good to see that Variant has finally made a history of Cyclops video, but surprisingly X-Men ‘97 does it’s own thing being a great follow up to the original hit animated series
Cyclops wasn’t my favorite character when I was a kid. Like so many I was introduced to comic book characters through movies and tv shows in the 2000’s. Wolverine was my favorite from the team but I always respected Cyclops as the leader of the team and I’m glad he’s getting more respect.

I read somewhere that he is unable to turn his optic blast on and off at will because upon landing from the crash he had ended up hitting his head in the part responsible for controlling it

The upper limits of Cyclops powers are still unknown but his versatility using his powers is better than most Superheroes which even with 97 we still haven't seen the best he can do

I was hoping you would dive deeper into his special ability and how is optic blasts are concussive energy and not heat based.. and other skills... or why he can't control them.
Can you do history of Cyclone, Rhino, Sandman, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with Kurt Connors the Lizard. Also can you do the history of the Flash Villains like Turtle, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Mirror Master and Top?

Besides optic blasts which can do stuff like put out fires, What all skills does Scott Summers Cyclops have?
He can adjust his beams to incinerate people, or just push them.
He can ricochet his beams like Cap does his shield letting him shoot around corners or bank off of things to strike from odd angles or knock out several enemies at once. He also plays pool to practice sometimes.
Martial artist and energy resistance.
So Cyclops and Mr. Sinister story is like Sasuke and Orochimaru's 😂😂😂
