That's not really true. Nightcrawler has become a prop to make other characters look good. He's still friends with mutants who are willing to kill people.

For reals man. When I use to watch the show I felt bad for him but he ended up being my favorite one out of all of them. Not only that he looks badass in that show back in the 90/00's
I have to admit Nightcrawler's portrayal in "X-Men: Apocalypse" was genuinely a pretty cool part of that deficient movie. Kodi Smit-McPhee, the actor who played him, is a truly phenomenal and underrated young actor that knew how to capture the personality of the Kurt from the comics and 2000's movies. I also loved his portrayal of Oskar/Owen in the romantic horror film "Let Me In"

I loved Nightcrawler in the movies. One thing they got right.
You forgot about his tail being Prehensile, his ability to Shadow Blend, and that even with his training in the circus his flexibility is insane.

Thank you so much. Nightcrawler is not only my all time favorite X Men character. But he is such a underrated character it is borderline criminal.
His X2 White house scene is still one of my favorite movie moments of all time
Me too, I will always remember and love that opening scene.
Likewise he’s one of my favorite xmen in general but his scene in that movie is one of my top 10 favorite superhero fight scnes
I never watched the X-Men animated show but based on the one thing I saw of him in it. So trusting, hopeful and forgiving. The religious version of his backstory I’ve heard is so wonderful
It's almost a requirement for his character. Without his morals, Nightcrawler could one shot most characters who aren't incredibly durable and without a strong healing factor.

Cool religious moment in the comic. Uncanny X-Men 159 is the first time they fight Dracula. When they realize who they're fighting, Wolverine pops a claw on each hand and makes a cross only to get swatted away. Dracula tells him it's pointless if you have no religious faith. Then Nightcrawler grabs two stakes and let's Dracula know that they are not lost for "...I believe" and shuts him down temporarily with his own cross.
I think Nightcrawler is criminally underrated and needs some more attention. I wonder who would play him in the MCU. 🤔

I think it should be the same actor who played him in X-Men Apocalypse and X-Men Dark Phoenix since this would be similar to Charlie Cox reprising his role as Daredevil in the MCU

For me, my first time seeing Nightcrawler I was playing X-Men Mutant Academy 2 and I instantly became intrigued by his design, powers & character arc. I admire his swordsmanship. 💯

He's one of my favorite X-Men.
What I’ve always found fascinating is that most X-men and they’re villains have names that sound like they were self named as teenagers. Not a bad thing, maybe because teen years are usual when mutants develop their powers.

Im always surprised how Nightcrawler is so many people favorite X Men, yet his publication and live action portrayals is so limited.
Nightcrawler is the only Marvel Hero I collect (I'm generally a villains fan), and I absolutely adore him. The Devil Inside / The Winding Way arc is another one that was just... *chefs kiss*
That... kind of makes sense. He has a very awesome villainous character design despite being an all-around nice guy.

As a kid I grew up evangelical and there wasn't much I could watch. Nightcrawler was my favorite X-man because despite his devilish appearance he loved everyone and tried to speak strength and wisdom to his friends. I feel like that is what a real man of God and Nightcrawler embodies that perfectly. Loving people even when they fear and hate you

I’d like to think to myself that his teleportation powers weren’t used for the first time to save his sister but to save himself as an infant when his mother threw him down the water fall. Obviously an unconscious use of his powers being an infant but an infant can still feel fear which usually activates powers.
One of the best origin stories I ever seen. I must say though, Mystique definitely ain’t a mother I’d be proud of, chick handed out that 😼 like groceries at Publix.

I LOVE the amazing X-Men! I started to collect them and read the, because of Nightcrawler. There’s also a comic where it has the nightcrawler from the x men movie on the cover and it’s about him. I love Nightcrawler, he’s very underrated.
