I like that I've finally come across a hair stylist that actually has fine/thinning hair herself, so she fully understands the issues! My hair stylist is amazing, and I love her, but she has gorgeous naturally thick and curly hair, so she has no understanding of fine, thinning, straight hair.

I hear you. I have always had fine hair, though was lucky to have a lot of hair…but it’s gotten thinner as I’ve gotten older. I wear my hair shorter, sort of a shaggy long layer pixie cut. I had a great stylist in the 90s, but he died…and since then, it’s been a never ending desperate search for someone who understands my hair. No matter how many photos I show, or what I ask for, seems they all take maybe 5 minutes and give me the same damn cut over and over. I was seeing one stylist who wasn’t too bad at a local salon and needed to be cut on one of her days off, so I got an appt with someone else - and FINALLy! She took her time, she paid attention to what I was saying about my struggles, and I left it up to her to do what she thought would be best. Great haircut! Day after day of great hair days. I’m so happy, feel like I hit the jackpot.

Thankfully CZcams sent me your channel and it’s very helpful. One thing that’s happened to me as I age is that a cowlick that use to be unnoticeable became prominent at the front of my hairline. It began to split my hair into sections exposing my scalp. It looked awful. So what I did was change my part from the left side to the right to take "advantage" of the cowlick. It did help some. I also blow my hair dry upside down, then begin to blow dry and use Velcro curlers to help set it. I use hairspray, but sometimes the hairspray has actually ruined my volume because I held the can just a little too close and the force of the air blew apart my style and set at the same time. Will check out more of your videos and product recommendations. Thanks for sharing your tips!

GAME CHANGER!!!!! Omggggg. Thank you so so much. I had total hair and body loss from chemo in 2016. Grateful to be alive. ❤ but my hair never grew back to it’s “normal” pre chemo self. I had lots of volume and hair and some wave. Now it’s super thin. Fine. And straight. I received a great blunt haircut week and half ago and makes all the difference. Wow... what a great video! I definitely will buy that ERGO ER43 brush ...it is Oct. 11/22 and see they now have a super gentle ERGO ER43 brush for fine hair. Definitely will try that! Now I am researching hair dryers as the one I have burnt my hair!

You don't have ro spend alot of money on a dryer. Just make sure it has 3 heat settings, so you know you are getting a low heat setting.❤️

I just wanted to say a huge thank you Tabitha - you're like my new guru. I've watched all your videos multiple times, bought recommended products, some I already had but wasn't using properly. I just dried my hair and it's literally the best it's looked in years - better even then the various hair dressers (at expensive salons) because it's hiding my thin spots. I just need to add some curl tomorrow before I go out. Thanks again! I only wish you were in Plymouth, Massachusetts and not all the way out in Minnesota!

Great video… Super helpful. Your hair is almost exactly like mine, except for the growth pattern on the scalp. Seems like such common sense. I don’t know why I didn’t think of some of this myself. I have the tools, but I haven’t been using them correctly ! Couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t make my hair look like the hairdresser does. I get tired of people telling me I have a health issue… I’ve been tested. I am fine. No iron deficiency. No thyroid problem nothing. I just have always had fine hair and it’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. Oh yay aging. Not.
