  • A chilling recount of recent American gun massacres, and the fact that Americans are the most heavily armed culture on the planet, by far. The cited American gun ownership figures are from 2007, which means they don't even include the recent surge in gun purchases with the election of Barack Obama.

Post offices, schools, movie theaters... if only these were defined by law as gun free zones, then nobody with criminal intentions could take guns in there.

isn't it time to decide what is more important for a democracy, free speech or gun rights?

Federal ATF agent for 25+ years, carried a magazine fed gun, 12 + one in the chamber... In his "service revolver"? The most a big bore revolver holds is 8 shots, and they would ALL be in chambers with NO magazine. Fail at hiring actors, anyone?

now she should read the stories of those who lives were saved by guns

The police dont have to respond when you call them. If they come 30 minutes after you've been murdered, they're not liable. Welcome to the real world, how the rest of the world works - You can stand up for yourself, hope someone else stands up for you, or ignore the problem and become a victim.

First regulation of abortions in the US was 1821 which was what I meant by not possible in that it was not considered or addressed in the constitution.

Not sure any American news channel does give a damn about this issue, actually...

Fair enough...the constitution doesn't cover every social/legal issue.

Maybe Palin should wear smart glasses like Maddow.

Shooter bought shit FMJ practice ammo from wal-mart. If he'd have used good hollowpoints, purchased legally from a specialty shop, he'd have killed more than 6 of 20 people shot.

She is in a much safer place. The studio she broadcasts from, no doubt has armed guards.

Of course not. Will you hear stories like the girl in Oklahoma who defended her infant and herself by shooting intruders on New Years Eve a few months ago? One can only imagine what happens if she doesn't have her gun (two men who know her husband had died around Christmas time were breaking in). Her name was Sarah McKinley, you can google it. I wouldn't expect anything like that from this crap station though.

Maybe not Palin, but Margaret Thatcher would have wipped the floor with Maddow.

(continued from below, sorry) by Raoul Moat in the UK (who have total gun control) doesn't really mean that any countries gun laws are water tight. So, again, why? What made these people resort to violence? I don't think that ownership of a really expensive and lethal gun is the motive for a high school shooting. I think that individual problems and personal crisis are much more likely a suspect.

I was born and raised in the civilized world, where a woman has always had the the right to choose, so your point means nothing to me.

Well, some news channel will need to launch some kind of counter gadget with two numbers: those people that have been killed by guns in attacks and those that have used guns for self-defense. That might help in separating both categories...

  • @marlette782

Well the argument that liberals make is that the constitution does not give people the right to own guns, my point is that the supreme court claims that the constitution give swomen abortion rights, and yet it says nothing about abortion. I thought you were making that argument.

  • @marlette782
    @marlette782 Před 11 lety

Double standard. You are saying that the NRA is not in line with the founding fathers. Well tell me liberals where in the constitution does it say anything about abortion being a right. At least the NRA can point to something that resembles what they are saying.

@sfuzzyshille Sarah Palin couldn't eat any intelligent person alive in a debate. You just show your lack of vocabulary using such a common derogatory phrase, not surprising coming from someone who looks up to Palin.
