Yeah I was disappointed in Crème de Pistache too. Something weird about it - the nuttiness was there but the other stuff ruins it. Wish they had left a few notes out it might have been better. I have a travel decant which will work just fine.
I had terrible experience with Sphinx🤦♀️🤦♀️their costumer service is so rude! You cannot imagine emails I received from them

@@kovy689 that they have non refund policy (which is odd because here in EU you have 14-20 days right to return product if you are not satisfied) and that I should have purchased samples. But they were really rude. Their emails did not even start with “Dear” or “Hello” no “regards” “thank you”. In the end they refunded me the amount but only after I filled complaint to my bank. Without that, i doubt they would refund my money.

Hey Anna love your video! If my husband liked scents and wore them I would buy him Layton! I want to try Byron Chronic Rouge Extreme. I think Spiritual would be aweful! Im not even going to try the Kayali Oud collection. you are the only influencer who has been honest in my opinion about her collection.

I adore Chronic Rouge Extreme! Currently, into more woods and vanillas and the vanillas I love most seem to have Peru Balsam in them (except Divine Vanille, which I'm wearing now). There is a huge hole in the market for a correspondence course where we can experience these notes individually. Easy to do for an essence maker to make a ''peel and sniff'' x

This blue on you is fire. I am very glad I only got travel sizes of the cafe oud/vanilla oud. I haven't tested them yet but the vanilla I think I can layer if I find it lacking and the cafe oud is out of my comfort zone but you and sharida are both saying its the bomb so I trust you both and I am going to wear it and see how it does with my skin chemistry. I am fussy with rose but that note stays on my skin so long ironically so here's to hoping it's a banger for me.

I love how well you describe scents, it’s so helpful for shopping. I finally picked up Ellis Brooklyn Apres on your rec during the sale, and OMG I think I’ve found my holy grail for fall/winter. It’s so so good. Haven’t had a signature f/w scent other than replica BTF which is just too strong for office wear.

I totally agree with you on the Kayali oud collection! The vanilla oud was uninteresting, the tobacco oud had something but the blend just wasn’t good enough somehow, and the rose oud was horrible… I have just grown to love rose as a note after being scared of the potpurri in bathrooms childhood memories that I have. Unfortunately the rose in this one smells like that. A very old kind of rose scent. But the cafe oud was quite lovely! Have to try it out some more.

I’m with you, I need to ground and add some richness to super gourmand perfumes. Usually add something ambery, spicy or woody. Yum Pistachio + Tonka rirana sounds beautiful. I didn’t like Yum Pistachio alone on my skin.

I feel like I’m one of the only people who isn’t in love with Vanilla 28. I swear I pick up a note that’s almost reminiscent of soy sauce… I can’t exactly place it, can’t quite figure out what throws me off so much about it. I wish I loved it because its praises are sung so highly by so many people!

the whole oudgasm collection was disappointing to me. I blind bought vanilla oud and I regret it so much. The opening is giving cleaning product and I can't smell the vanilla. The dry down is just ok

I liked cafe oud but I absolutely HATED vanilla oud. On me, it smelled so leathery and simultaneously plastic. I tried so hard to wait for the vanilla to come around but I didn’t get that, if it was there it was drowned out by the leathery scent.
I also tried & fell in love with parfums de marly safanad, do you know any dupes for it?
I didn't pick up leather but I got a plasticky vibe as well 😞

@@AnneLauren Supposedly it's supposed to be a pheromone-infused scent? I just keep seeing ads for it where women spray it and their man is instantly like "WOW..." It's supposed to be like a man magnet essentially- but again, I have extreme suspicion, lol. It makes me wonder, though, if there are certain scents that men find attractive. 🤷♀
How would you compare Cafe Oud to Móntale Intense Cafe?
They honestly don’t smell similar at all to me, Intense Cafe is much more sweet and gourmand, Cafe Oud smells more “grown,” richer, deeper, and has the added woody note
@@AnneLauren awesome, thank you. I love woodier scents and Montale creations overall tend to have bit more incensy backbone to them. With that Intense Cafe is beautiful but I do notice that the incense puts me to sleep (literally) for some reason lol. Cafe Oud sounds great so I'll probably get the small bottle of the collection. I feel like Cafe Oud might have some batch issues, because I get zero coffee! Its STRAIGHT UP GERANIUM! and Rose. Its a warm woody floral, with no pronounced coffee whatsoever. And I've heard several people say the same. The Rose oud is bright from the citruses at the top, a beautiful classy dominant fresh and modern rose peony mid, and that dark oud in the base, vanilla oud to me is a soapy vanilla because of the GERANIUM, the combination makes it smell like a bar of vanilla floral soap to me, but waxy is another way to put it! But i disagree with the cafe oud being a coffee dominated scent, it was such a let down. The GERANIUM has no business being in a cafe oud fragrance! Lol. Mona should have made Cafe Oud a Caramel, Vanilla, Coffee, Warm Spices, Lactonic creamy Oud, Like a Bianco Latte and Oud but with a stronger coffee presence and some warm spices. I've been layering Bianco Latte with Vanilla Oud by Veratus, and its delectable

I thought I was the only one on this platform, who was NOT enjoying Kayalis oud collection.
😅 They get so much hype and it actually confused me..
To my nose none of them are either pretty or beautyful, and not interesting either 🤔 They smell like cheaper versions of some allready on the marcet..
