"A fine protective layer of dust" -- I'm going to start using that line whenever someone complains about my housekeeping! Thanks, Bud!
Your answer surprised me a little because of our last chat about it. Although I'm happy to hear that you are relatively happy with your choice. God bless and stay safe.
glad that you are still enjoying the Caruza!
I've watched your videos from the time you started. You're a class act Mr. Brown. Best wishes to you and Gloria. I hope to buy you lunch someday soon. Curtis in Las Vegas
Thank you, Bud! I was waiting for your thoughts about your three-wheeler.
WIll have to go look at the new version. Thanks for the video!
On the newer models didn’t they change the engine location a bit to keep all the heat from cooking the driver? Stay safe and it makes me happy to see a couple married for life such as you and the lovely Mrs.
12000 km on our ape diesel now. Runs better then day one. Did have one gear shift cable change, no cost to us. Almost totally dry in rain. Love it and would buy again. Yours suits you, so is perfect for you. I've ridden bikes for 50 years, and still do, and wrist shift doesn't bother me at all. Plus diesel takes heat better. I guess its all in what each driver wants.
glad u and gloria both doing well
Every time my wife see's one of the vehicle's in Dumaguete she always ask me "is that Bud Brown?" LOL
Nice feedback on rusi motorcycle..
Nice reviews over there,Rusco-Caruza X Bajaj-Re,thanks Bud . .
I bought a scooter and a side car for the wife and a Yamaha Tricity 155 for myself. I’m old now and appreciate the extra balance and stability especially on gravel that the front two wheels give.
Thank you for sharing.
If you want to learn how to drive a motorcycle with a manual transmission, this is a good start.
I'm rewatching this again a year and a half later and I'm sure you have changed your mind...hehe
Thanks for sharing Bud. I was curious about the costs for a ride like that. 😊👍🏻
I apricate your videos on the Rusco and Tut Tuts, It good to know what you think a year later. Enjoy your day.
When I am in the Philippines I may buy the newer model of your Carusz. But only if it has the protective coating of dust on it...
nice ride good idea carry people and groceries first time seeing one of your videos keep it up
Thanks, Barry, for stopping by.
Careful, I think some insurance requires that protective layer of dust
I've always liked manual transmissions! My bikes all had left foot shift, and my cars and trucks all had 3 in the tree or 4-5 on the floor. That never bothered me vs. left foot, and my Bajaj being left hand shift was a non-issue as well! I have room for a smaller filipina on either side up front, and no hump of course! seat belts help! only 4 forward gears, + reverse, and now high/low! Also, 200 cc is just not quite enough power, as long grades require 2nd, sometimes 1st. gear! IMHO, 250cc would be quite adequate...
Thank you for the review.
The heat from the engine is a big downside. But still it's a good vehicle.
Thanks for the info I was planning on purchasing one of those
IT'S LOOKS LIKE A GREAT SCOOTER..RETIRED LARRY IN INDIANAPOLIS....
Had a Bajaj scooter with a wrist shifter. It really is easy to adjust to, and that scooter was rock solid reliable. Crashed it, then rode it home, pounded out the dents and drove it for several more years! I may go with a Bajaj when I retire over there, but will check into othets too!
The Baja's are getting really popular here.
I still have mine although I didn't bring it over to Cebu City! I'm still very much happy with it.
Thanks, Ed for the update. Good to hear from you again. Stay safe, my friend.
Thanks Bud, i appreciate your time and comments. Hope the coffee is hot and strong for you today.
I've been looking into buying a TVS King.
There must be some sort of headset or speaker system you could install to communicate with the back seat area.
Yes, you're right. But for all intents and purposes, it's just chit chat. If there was something really important, she'd tap me on the shoulder and I'd just pull over.
Man, the New Model Caruza where the Engine is at the Back..Is Not Available here in Manila!
Talk about buying new in the philippines , from the dealer I bought I 125 Honda. When they deliver it foot brake not adjusted, clutch not adjusted, tyres were half flat. Carburetta full of crap, 15 months ago we bought a 48v nwow hero front suspension is crap front break is usless , electric drive motor the hall sensor failed. Tyres half flat when delivered, could not adjust the mirrors, no spare tire. But all good now there people no attention to detail.
So awesome 2021 has the engines in the back ?
No more heat up front 🥵
Trade er in 😆🤣
Have a great weekend !!
Mr. Brown
Where do you get your protective dust from
I would like to ask does it have enough power for you. It seems that 200cc is a small motor. A 250-350cc would be better for getting out in traffic as you would have more power to take off.
When my vehicle gets dirty I write in it: "Test dirt. Do not remove." 😁 Stay well. Best wishes Bob.
Bud if I make it there and decide to stay long while is the Russo good for trips to see different places?
Got to renew that protective layer of dust !!! LOL
Does it come in automatic? Better than scooter especially during rain.
you need a motorbike intercom so you can talk to gloria while driving
Get some motorcycle helmets with the built in cb radio breaker 19 this is rubber duckie
I have a 125cc Yamaha Mio and would like to get myself a Suzuki Multicab, they are PHP 150000 to PHP 250000, depending on what you want on it. What are you thoughts on these Multicabs?
Are Rusco(s) built for go up into mountainous areas? Since I have been livinig in the Philippines, I have just started learning about these things (i.e. motorcycles, etc.). I think one of your other videos answered my question, which is no it is not made for mountain terrain. What type of vehicle would you recommend?
Was that a blue gold wing in Texas.
I have a Baja, there were things I liked about it and things I liked about the Rusco. Would I buy it again? I am not sure. If I was going to live here "forever" I would buy a car. Yeah they are ALOT more but for traveling outside the town I would rather have a car. Since parking is so hard to find for anything except motorcycles, I might just use tricycles, except they have their own problems.
Hi bud yea I dont like baja hand gear change I've had bikes all my life as well i had a vespa back in 60s with a hand gear change the cables would stretch and had to reajust and was a pain in the ass i actualy thought about getting one like urss but can get a car for same money BUT high ks probibly not serviced much in iu ts lifetime so bound to get issues plus size off urs easy to park in cityarea room to get supplies and really i dont need a car but urs is like a bike wich i love and you do as well so i hear u say new model has foot change and engine in back so I'll definatly look at one catch u later
GODBLESS
What's the difference between this and Bajaj, Kuya Bud ?
Sound your happy with Blue boy overall
........ _maayong aga_ Bud.......Bajaj is actually an Indian brand.........man time flies.....yer Rusco is a year old already..........
Yes, my friend. Time is flying.
Super! Now... did that protective layer of dust come standard or did you have to pay extra? 🤔
No, I afraid it wasn't there when we first got it. Like my confidence driving here, it built up over time. :=)
What’s the top speed, can you keep up with Paul and the boys on road trips?
We all talk to our self at times. Sometimes that’s only time we make since lol
True, true and no back talk.
Bud Brown is the King of the Tuk, Tuk road. Keep the shinny side up Bud.
BTW did you or a dog pee on the rear tire.....LOL
Probably me. :=)
@@MisterBudBrown lol
Ed still has his Bajaj bud
Carusa in bisaya is animal drawn carriage whether be it a horse or carabao.
why not sell it now and buy the new model?
1200 CC water cooled and it would be ALOT of fun in the PI. Maybe wheelie bars too..LOL
Do you have something against cars.
Lol protective layer of dirt my work truck must be real safe then
Can the vehicle be registered in the USA?
I doubt it, mainly because of the stricter exhaust system requirements of the States than here in the Philippines.
Looks like one of your dogs has been using the left rear wheel for a urinal!! hehe
protective layer of dust ftw. Elephants do it. Carabaos do it. and even a few humans now and then.
I rest my case, Your Honor. :=)
I see your dog likes it. Well maybe just the tires.
It would probably be better if you had an automatic transmission,
...looks comfortable....and........best is the sound of your Rusco....at least in your vlogs..😉🏍
Ha ha I'm afraid in real life it sounds like a sewing machine....eeeeew!
@@MisterBudBrown wow multitasking engine.... transportation and sewing.... at the mentioned price? You really made a good deal 😁😁😁😁😅😅😅
What happened to the curtains?
They are hanging in the kitchen of our friend's house. :=)
@@MisterBudBrown Is the house mobile?Hehe!!
🤓🤓
Hi
You really need to get rid of those blue curtains, makes it look sooooo Pinoy😆
Why not just buy a small car ?
Why in the hell do you want to talk to your wife😂🥺
Rusco do not make this vehicle it's imported from China. The other model you looked at do not have the engine in the back , but under the front seat.
If you need a new vehicle then look at the Bajaj Quite,
