Black Seas Wargame AAR (Cornwallis' Retreat)

- Here is another wargame AAR we hope you will enjoy. This Napoleonic scenario for Black Seas is based upon a fascinating chapter of Age of Sail warfare: Cornwallis’ Retreat. For brevity, only ships of the line were used, and the frigates of both sides were kept out of play and considered, “off table.”
Special thanks to the many folks who contributed to this project:

"C'est magnifique!!!" Top notch presentation (maps, animations, room...and costume!) of a great looking game, the ships are awesome...Superb French (minor) victory, and revenge soon obviously, Cornwallis's not dead!👍👍
So glad you enjoyed it! The Age of Sail has so much potential for storytelling. Thank you for your kind words!
Outstanding stuff from Wargames Tonight! Loved the historical commentary by Ed at the museum.
Thank you guys! Your ongoing encouragement and leadership have been a big help.

Hi guys, are you sure that the vengeur (avenger), was a 1st rate? Wasn’t the later 1805 version the 1st rate? This battles ship is listed as a 74 gun only? Cheers guys. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! You are correct. The Vengeur du Peuple was only a 3rd Rate (74) originally named the Marseillois before the Revolution. We didn't make this scenario and only filmed it so I can't explain the ratings.
Interesting stat cards
Thank you! I believe Adam (the referee) made those so they are unique.
the french revolution started in 1789 so it's the sixth year of the revolution, anyway, good video
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the catch. I knew the Revolution started in 1789 but somehow got the year-count wrong.
Loved the game with the historical content. Building a fleet of my own! Where in the world are you guys playing🤓. I am in the DC metro area.
Glad you liked it! We are up in New Hampshire.

Can someone please give me the song? I can't find it on CZcams nor google.
Glad you enjoyed the song! The lyrics can be found in the book, "Famous Fighters of the Fleet," by Edward Fraser (1906) starting on page 199 with the lyrics starting on page 205. See Google Books link:
