I really like this format. I've learned a lot from this channel since getting back into RC with an ARRMA Typhon. My 1st was a Tamiya Grasshopper back in the early 90s.

Hi AJ. I need your expertise in something that I want to do but yet nervous about doing it. I just bought the new XMAXX Ultimate. I'm planning on buying paddle tires for it so that I can run it on the lake where I go camping. But I want to know if I need special gearing to do it or not. Also is there anything else I need to do to get the performance or to protect it. I've seen Kevin Talbot and someone else that I can't remember do it. It looks like a lot of fun but don't want to destroy me Xmaxx. By the way, I appreciate what you do because I can learn a lot from you. Thanks.

My new rc is a traxxas a new Slash drive this rc is like a rally car you must make constant stering.corrections.
What upgrade would you recommend for my radio?
What silicone lube do you use ????
Are you against changing. a plastic spur gear to metal I here people say stay with plastic because metal tears everything up and it’s cheaper to by a plastic spur gear then replace a lot more what you think ??
I know fixing or upgrading parts on an RC are part of the hobby but the way the Maxx Slash drives out of the box is a giant let down! On top of that where is the value in it? Plastic everything and out dated electronics doesn’t scream $700 not including what needs fixed so it can actually drive like an SCT! Yes it’s durable but so is a brick like I compared it to in my first comment! I appreciate the non political stance you take and your love for the hobby. Traxxas just missed on this one and should drop the price for what they’re offering the consumer! When the 4s Mojave and even the 6s Mojave are cheaper to buy I don’t see a reason to buy this truck other than the name!
As stated by another user, Traxxas missed on this one. Seven hundred dollars for THIS??? Um, no. Mojave 6s straight up walks all over this thing. I have a Slash Ultimate and I love it. Maxx Slash is too underwhelming for the price. Traxxas is getting greedy and arrogant with stuff like this.
